Krillin meditated beneath one of the apple trees at King Kai's, letting his mind roam free as he often did between training sessions. The enhanced gravity and tutelage of King Kai seemed insufficient for the monk's overwhelming desire to gain the strength needed to defend his planet, made painfully obvious in his previous battle. Perhaps it was more practice that he needed, he had done what seemed like endless training with the masters of the universe, only to fall short when the time came. Sure his power was still lacking compared to his foes, but that hadn't saved the hundreds of people that he had failed. Determined even in death to rise above his enemies he looked at the gem he always kept readily at his belt. I guess practice it is then, and he reached down, running his fingers across the smooth glass.

Brianne had been working incredibly hard lately at becoming a real life master so that she could actually teach people the true power of love. It was one thing to get people to show their love to you, but it was entirely different to show them how to actually utilize the energy that love provides them with. The Magical Girl had been obsessed lately with finding a way to do that. For this Universe she would do for them, what Helles did for her and show her just how amazing this power could be.
While she wanted to work at it nonstop, that wasn't an option right now. She was going to have to wait and the best way she knew to do that was to go to the Astral Realm and meet people there. The Maiden just hoped that it would be something that would actually be fun. It was hard to know what was going to happen when you went into this realm after all. Some people just wanted to talk, some wanted to hurt you and still others just wanted to spar and practice technique. It would be interesting to find out what was going to happen this time around.

Krillin felt the woosh of air as he stumbled into the new plane. For some reason his entrances into the astral realm were getting more and more uncoordinated. Was it coincidence, or was there more to it the monk wondered. The astral realm had chosen this stone abyss, filled with nothing but a solid stone floor as far as the eye could see this time. He shook it from his mind as he noticed a green haired woman step onto the empty stone floor. "Philia..?, " the monk whispered under his breath as his heart rose....no. It wasn't her. As quickly as the elation hit him, so did the sadness. A sadness he had not expected. Philia was long dead. But he had never found her in the next dimension, though if he were being honest with himself, he was afraid to look. Afraid to find his childhood friend, for her to know that he had not been able to turn away from the path of a warrior. She had been his only friend through his years at the monastery, other than the masters of course. She had always been kind to him, and to everyone. But to see the green hair now pained Krillin. Why had he gotten his hopes up. He strode towards the woman, and gave a quick nod, "Hello there, its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Krillin!" He extended his hand, hoping that his grief had been short lived enough not to show the twinkle in his eyes.

The Magical Girl examined the room for a little bit. They had shown up in a world of all stone. It was certainly unique, but it also wasn't going to be a very practical place to be. She could just imagine all the problems with a world crafted out of all stone, but before she could think about it for too long another power popped into the realm. She had her back turned to the location the man had arrived in, but it sounded like he said something. She turned around getting ready to ask what it was, but her attention immediately went to the man himself. He was rather short, lacking a nose and had a bald head. Her hair flipped as she turned and studied the man before he introduced himself to her.
The Magical Girl giggled a little, "It is a pleasure to meet you too Krillin. My name is Brianne de Chateau. So what brings you to this realm today?"

Krillin was glad he had not met another villain this time. Even if the fighting was more beneficial for his training when there was raw emotion behind it. He had dealt with enough evil to last a lifetime recently and if he never saw that pudgy little green face, it would be too soon. "Hi Brianne, I usually come here for a bit of sparring, but if you prefer something else I don't mind. Can't always be fighting after all, its bad for the soul," the monk smiled as he spoke. This woman even looked a bit like Philia, though she wore no glasses, and Krillin had never seen her without a braid in her hair. He also doubted this woman was the same age, maybe a few years older. Krillin reached out, sensing the woman's aura, absolutely overflowing with kindness. He had to shake his head again, even her aura reminded him of hers. Something was curious about this being that made him question too much, and that made him uncomfortable.
BeeWhisLast Wednesday at 9:26 PM
He mentioned that he liked to spar, but was open to whatever. The Magical Girl hadn't had a good spar in a little while. She had done some work here and there, but a good training spar did feel like it would be a good thing for her to do. She smiled at Krillin, "Oh we can totally spar. I think it would be fun." She moved slightly to widen her stance and get ready for combat, "Don't take it easy on me because I'm a girl. Trust me I know what I'm doing!"
Brianne wasn't going to act first, she wanted to see just how this bald man fought. If she was going to be a master she had to learn to study her opponents and find their weaknesses. That was going to be the key to her success moving forward or at least that is what she thought. Really she had no idea what was going to be key just yet.
KrillintheshortLast Wednesday at 9:34 PM
Krillin eyed the woman curiously, and adopted his own stance. "I'll give it my best," said the monk, not sure if he could however. He had only fought one other woman, and holding back had let her escape, and this woman was the spitting image of his best friend as a child...well younger child. He circled slowly, keeping low to the ground. After a few moments it was obvious she was waiting for him to make the first move. Krillin struggled internally with the action, but dove forward throwing a flurry of punches at the woman, both high and low, in an attempt to gauge her prowess. She seemed of similar power, but wanted to start off cautiously.
BeeWhisLast Wednesday at 9:41 PM
The spar had begun rather calmly with Krillin simply circling around Brianne like a shark around his prey. The difference was it was clear that Krillin understood that the prey wasn't just prey and a worthy adversary. He didn't want to rush into a bad situation, but Brianne refused to move first and so it allowed the bald man to take the initiative and start off with a flurry of high and low punches. Brianne moved accordingly, working on blocking and avoiding what she could and mitigating those blows that actually landed as well. She wasn't going to give ground just yet.
Waiting for the opportune time she shifted her feet slightly allowing her to switch from more of a defensive stance to a balanced one. That was all she needed to get off a few strikes of her own. Her style to start was going to be rather brutish, but still somehow down with elegance to it as well. Her strikes were strong each of them coming at the same location like a hammer looking to bash a hole in the wall, she was waiting for a much bigger opening to present itself before she really acted.
KrillintheshortLast Wednesday at 10:41 PM
Krillin caught several of Brianne's punches, realizing that she was going to fight with everything she had, even if he didn't. "I see, I'll have to do better to give you a decent warm up," said the monk, confident now that the woman was capable of holding her own. Krillin enhanced his arms and fists with the blue sheen of his ki, multiplying their force exponentially. He blurred suddenly, coming around to the woman's left, throwing a heavy punch below her ribs, and followed up with a spinning kick. His attacks, though fast lacked their usual ferocity, but he wasn't trying to end this opponents life. Was he so hell bent on destroying evil? or worse yet, did he enjoy the violence and just use the vanquishing of evil as an excuse. No. He put the questions out of his mind. He had made his decisions to protect people, and you couldn't always do it through peace. It was the first and last fight he had ever had with Philia, and it plagued him to this day.
BeeWhisLast Thursday at 6:50 AM
The fact that he had seemingly taken her lightly with his comments caused Brianne to feel frustrated with the entire situation. She had told him to not hold back and yet there he was admitting he had done just that. She shook her head hearing that, but remained silent for now not wanting to justify his hopefully unintended insult with words. Instead she watched as he channeled energy into his arms. Well at least it seemed like he was going to try harder this time around. The Magical Girl braced herself for impact when suddenly he blurred away. A slight sigh was released just before a hard punch landed against her ribs. She went with the punch reeling back enough to create some distance and duck away from the spinning kick before launching both of her feet towards his midsection in order to launch him into the air. She would blur away herself in that moment appearing above him and slamming both of her fists into his spine with Amazing Impact to send him back towards the stone surface.
She slowly started to float down, waiting to see what he would do next.
KrillintheshortLast Thursday at 8:29 PM
Krillin had the wind knocked out of him as the two feet planted into his stomach, sending him skyward. He saw the woman blur, and pushed his ki into a shield at his back. The next blow came from behind, as Krillin had feared, but atleast he had prepared somewhat. The blow sent shockwaves of pain through him, but it wasn't crippling thanks to the reinforced flesh. The monk flipped, landing on the ground with the momentum of the blow. He released his power, bringing his fighting strength to full, then dove at his opponent during her slow decent, the blue ki enveloping his fist entirely as it took the form of a dragon. He grew more comfortable with the fight as they exchanged blows, realizing more and more that his imagination was getting the better of him. "Surely you can do better than that, don't pretend I'm the only one who's been holding back!," he shouted as he closed the distance with blazing speed.
BeeWhisLast Thursday at 10:15 PM
Krillin had decided to up the game. He was one of the highly aggressive types and she could tell that right away. As he bolted towards her the magical girl smiled at his claims. Twirling around in the air she created her own momentum before mirroring his attack. Brianne had the plan of negating the attack by matching its force and location with her own technique. She just hoped that her timing would work out.
"I'm not really a big fan of putting all my chips in the center of the table right away. Don't be offended."
KrillintheshortLast Thursday at 10:29 PM
"Of course not," the monk replied as the two fists collided, leaving a rippling crack along the floor from the shockwave. "I appreciate the handicap, I wasn't feeling myself today before this fight." Krillin released more of his power, pushing his limit higher as the ki flowed into every portion of him, sapping his strength slowly, but pushing his body further, heightening his senses and reflexes. He blurred, delivering a ki charged foot into Brianne's back, knocking her away. He flashed again, delivering a second to the woman's stomach sending her skyward. Krillin blurred a third and final time, spinning in a forward summersault and bringing a ki charged foot down on the top of her head, knocking her towards the ground. Krillin listened intently for the delayed explosion of ki that would erupt from the points of impact he had delivered. Perhaps he was getting too carried away, this was just a spar after all. But he could not deny his unquenchable thirst for battle. To prove himself.
BeeWhisLast Friday at 10:12 AM
The little man continued to erupt with his own energy to the point it was obviously burning away on him. The Magical Girl watched, he really was going to be one of those quick guys. She sighed a little still maintaining her calm as he launched his next onslaught. First it was a kick to the back and then a kick to the stomach to send her into the air. She defended neither simply waiting as he vanished again. His plan had been rather obvious so far so she waited for that moment as a sword of ki formed at her hand turning and thrusting it forward as she shifted to the side looking to pierce his side with the bladed hand. If the first didn't work she would be happy to slash at him again and again with the ki sword until he calmed down a little. She hated when men were like this after all.
KrillintheshortYesterday at 4:09 PM
Krillin threw his shield to his side as the sword came at him suddenly, forcing the blade away with little more than a glancing hit. Still, he'd have to be patient with this attacks in from now on. Avoiding the sword the woman held, he decided a few lightning quick blasts of ki were a better choice than brute force. He backed up, firing as he retreated, the suiken form was not powerful, but perhaps whittling away would be the path he'd have to settle for. "You'll have to excuse me, my last several fights have required brute force over finesse," the monk said continuing his traversing the stone floor. The lack of cover should make it hard for the weak, yet precise attacks to find their home.\
BeeWhisYesterday at 6:46 PM
She laughed as he fired weak attacks like they would mean something. Brianne braced herself and rushed right into them coming out the other side with scuff marks and little more, "Not enough," as she got out the otherside she unleashed a breakstorm of strikes. Over and over again until the combination ended. She the. Popper away, "Maybe that is the reason for the halo, you might be doing something wrong."
KrillintheshortYesterday at 8:56 PM
Krillin's eyes squinted as the women erupted from his barrage, just as he had expected. He did not however expect quite the flurry of blows that followed. He threw up block after block, though the bulk of the attacks still managed to slip through his defenses, before slipping past one of Brianne's attacks with a blur throwing a powerful knee into the woman's stomach, the technique Adel had forced him to practice for ages, crushing large rocks. He would have sworn that the entire mountain had been pulverized before he had mastered the move. "Perhaps I wear this halo because I take an active roll in fighting against the evil that inhabits our universe to protect the innocent. Because I choose to stand and fight, no matter how overwhelming the odds, no matter the outcome. If you're not pushing yourself to your limits, and past, you're not trying hard enough." Krillin conjured a spinning disc, pouring some extra ki into the whirring blade before releasing it with a mighty throw at the cocky woman.
BeeWhisYesterday at 9:17 PM
Brianne shook her head at his words. He was a radical and those didn't last long. "Perhaps you wear that halo because you don't understand that if you are dead you cany fight off the forces of evil so biting off more than you can chew is foolish?"
This disc was thrown and just and simply as it was Brianne waited until the last moment to instantly teleport away.
"I fight evil and fight for good as well. I understand though that being reckless only leads to failure and death." She had no further reason to attack back simply floating to the ground and hoping he would listen.
KrillintheshortToday at 8:41 PM
Krillin looked contemplatively at the woman, lowering his energy back to reasonable means, the drain causing his stomach to growl. "While in principle I can agree with your words. But if I see an innocent, good souls, being destroyed by evil, tortured by evil. I must stand and fight. If it costs me my life, so be it. If it spares the life of those who deserve life, then my task is fulfilled. I'll use everything I have, even if the chances are slim to protect, " the monk said with sadness in his eyes. He had watched too many deaths from the walls of a monastery. Too weak to stop great evil. He had saved hundreds, perhaps thousands of lives with his first death. He had not expected to be reborn, but King Yemma had judged him worthy. He had won a fair share as well, saving Kami and Mr. Popo and countless others. He had saved villages and towns and faced death many times. He was not always strong enough. This last time was different. Not only had he died, but he had let down the hundreds of people he had tried to save. King Yemma had still found him worthy, much to the monk's surprise and dismay. He looked again at the woman, emotion evident on his young face. "I will protect who I can. I may not always win, true. But what kind of coward can look on while innocents suffer? Am I to sit and watch because I am weak? I say you are wrong! I will gain the strength to put these evil's down, but until I do, I will continue to give everything I have, regardless of my fate. Perhaps it is my love for the other beings in this universe that forces my hand. I could not sit idly by while a stranger was murdered anymore than I could sit by if it were my own mother or child." Krillin fought back tears now, remember all the men and boys who had just been slaughtered at the hand of the murderous abomination. "Guldo will suffer for this.....," the monk muttered almost silently between clinched teeth.
BeeWhisToday at 8:46 PM
Brianne looked at him with great confusion as he spoke like death had no consequences to him at all. He talked like he was safe no matter what. She was confused, "Well of you are dead you cant help anyone and death is kind of permanent... or are you some kind of immortal or undead thing?"
KrillintheshortToday at 8:57 PM
"I am not that I know of... though I am unsure of my ability to stay dead. There was something that was told to me that eluded to a greater purpose...that I would not be allowed to truly rest until I have fulfilled my task," said Krillin, remember the conversation with the Grand Kiai. "If I will not be allowed to die, then a temporary death for me is a small price to pay for the salvation of thousands. And if it proves untrue, that my death becomes permanent...then I shall be content with that."
BeeWhisToday at 9:05 PM
Brianne smiled at that comment, "So basically you have a purpose and cant die until it is done. Are you going to be like a holy kamikaze man now?"
KrillintheshortToday at 9:25 PM
"I don't seek out fights and I do not wish death," said the monk. "But nor will I stand by while people suffer. I left my home, my entire way of life because I refused to stand by any longer. I do not expect you to understand, but will I not suffer your chastising at my love for life"
BeeWhisToday at 9:56 PM
"I didn't chastise you at all. I am sorry you took it that way." Brianne said sad that the man was so focused he didn't understand the value of his own life. She shook her head clearly upset by the entire situation, "I guess I just never heard of someone being able to cheat death. That is pretty cool and it is a good thing you are using it for good and not evil!"
KrillintheshortToday at 10:33 PM
"It is has been hard to come to terms with, and raises many question I do not yet have answers to," said the monk steeling his jaw. "It's the least I can do for people who are not so fortunate."
BeeWhisToday at 11:40 PM
"Well, I will have to talk to some friends and see if we can help you. I fight for love and friendship!" Brianne said glowing with a big grin now.
