Zaun…. The Zaunites…
The Avatar of War was in the middle of a slumber when words started to haunt his dreams. He felt like he heard those words before, but he couldn’t remember where. What is Zaun? What is a Zaunite? He kept rolling around in his makeshift bed made out of dirt and leaves. After one final turn, his eye flickered open and he realized he was somewhere else. He didn’t know where nor did he know how he should feel.
It was as if his body was on an imaginary borderline. On one side there was nothing but destruction, burning buildings, ash in the air. There was also a few screams that could be faintly heard. On his right side was what looked to be a more tranquil area. Trees were scattered over, animals were roaming around and there was even a nice little breeze that would blow through.
His gaze kept going back and forth, back and forth. The pink-haired warrior couldn’t decide which side he should venture into. It was enough to make him dizzy, causing his eyes to swirl around like a roulette. Why did he have to end up in a situation like that? More importantly why wasn’t he still asleep. At least in his sleep he didn’t have to make decisions.
"Someone wake me up from this nightmare!" he shouted as if someone was there to respond to his call.

The serene, rolling crash of the waves and Elric's own breath had become synchronized to the point where one might not be able to tell he was breathing at all. The Chronomancer could feel the pull of another force upon him, one all too familiar. On his person he carried a gem which allowed him to face opponents on a plane where he could fight without inhibition, no fear of harming himself or others. It was in this realm he could really see how far he'd come, for no matter the stakes here in the material plane, he never let himself get that out of control. Elric's body had been pulled to this other realm whilst he sat meditating, and it wasn't until he'd heard a familiar voice call out that he snapped from his trance. "Someone wake me up from this nightmare!" called the familiar voice. One he hadn't heard in a few years, but one he'd known to be Walid, or rather, this timeline's Walid. Elric's eyes shot open to see the Avatar of War in all his glory. Immediately nostalgia filled Elric's mind and he wondered if all the Avatars from their team were here still. Elric's lips pursed in an instant, his face being washed over with a grin he could not hide. "Walid? It's been too long. You're looking... young?" Elric said, his grin twisting a little as he became unsure of what to say. He realized halfway into speaking the guy may not even know of him, and even then, he may not recognize what he looks like now. His appearance had changed a lot over the last twenty years, if only because of Shamshire's power growing within him. "It's me, Elric... uhhhh, Avatar of Shamshire?" He added, a bit concerned whether or not the words would mean anything, this was truly a shot in the dark. 313 Elric's Color: 6641fa
