"My place is at your side," Bardock had said, pledging his allegiance to his prince. The First Class Saiyan continued to impress Vegeta almost on a daily basis, both in his physical gifts as well as his loyalty to his crown, and Vegeta specifically. The prince knew that he wasn't the easiest person to get along with, few ever really had, but Bardock had proven himself to be a trustworthy companion.
"Excellent. We leave for Yaidrat, the first stop on the tour, first thing in the morning," Vegeta instructed. He was about to dismiss Bardock for the rest of the evening, when a thought came to his mind. "Last time we sparred, I was at a bit of a disadvantage," he went on. "Care to test your mettle against your prince again? I assure you, this will be vastly different than the last time."
With a kick and a total disregard for the safety of the office type room they had met in, Vegeta shoved the desk out of the way to clear some room. He held his hand up and curled his fingers toward himself, an invitation to Bardock. "If I recall correctly, it's your move."

Bardock smirked as the heavy table splintered against the wall, holding up a hand to delay the pair of elite Royal Guard who had rushed in at the noise. “Return to your post, the prince but offers me a private lesson.” They eyed the prince, the only one with the authority to order them to stand down.
The prince smirked, eyes dangerous. “You heard him.”
Bardock didn’t wait for further invitation, leaping forward with a Superman punch, followed by a flying knee, keen on paying back the prince for the bruised ribs he had gifted Bardock with in the first time the two had faced off against one another.

While vegeta had been so focused on his own incremental progress it hadn't dawned on him that Bardock had been getting more powerful along side him as well. The flying punch came quickly, but the prince was able to parry it to the side. This did leave his chest area wide open for the knee that came crashing into it in rapid succession.
Vegeta winced as his ribs gave, only a little though. "I hope your not pulling punches," vegeta grunted through gritted teeth. He was quick to regain his footing and brought his right leg around with a roundhouse kick. As he continued the spin he charged a little energy into his left palm, and when he finished his 360, he unloaded it back at Bardock's mid section.

Bardock felt the prince’s chest buckle slightly as his knee landed solidly. His satisfaction however, was short lived as the prince’s leg cut through the space between them with a rush of air.
Bardock had just time enough to raise his arm, blocking the attack. It was only then that Bardock realized his mistake. A ball of energy had materialized in the prince’s palm and he held it there against Bardock’s now open chest. “Fuc—“ the blast expanded with a shockwave of explosive energy that forced Bardock back, slamming him into the far wall.
The armored plate of Bardock’s chest armor had cracked and splintered. Black scorch marks streaked across the once white, polished plate, and wisps of smoke trailed from the epicenter of where the blast had hit.
As he slid from the crater his body had made, he dropped into a stance like that of a sprinter, leaning into the balls of his feet. “I see you’re not pulling any punches.” He growled, lunching himself forward like a bullet from a gun. Closing the distance between them, attacking with a flurry of punches before executing a series of back handsprings, raising both hands, fingers out stretched, “Flash bomb!” A hundred blue orbs, each no more than the size of a quarter blasted forward like the shell of a shot gun.

The smell of melting armor filled Vegeta's nostrils as his energy attack hit its mark. A grin slid across his face, how he relished the sensory portion of combat. The smells, the feels, even the taste of battle filled his spirit to no end.
"I wouldnt pull a punch against my own grandmother," Vegeta snarkily replied. Him and his mouth. When would he learn. While he was busy making a sly remark, Bardock had bounced back and caught the Saiyan prince with a beautiful combination of punches, causing him to stagger backwards in recoil. This was becoming an annoyingly common occurrance with Bardock.
As he once again regained his footing, he caught sight of his opponent, just in time to hear the words Flash Bomb called out. "I see youve learned some new tricks," Vegeta commented. "I've learned a few myself."
The prince spread his legs shoulder length apart, threw his arms out sideways, and with a mighty roar, an invisible forcefield shielded the majority of the powerful attack. It wasnt enough to negate it entirely, as roughly two dozen of the tiny blasts peppered his chest. Shrouded in smoke from the explosions, Vegeta released a spray of energy blasts himself, shouting out "Energy Dan" as the orbs flew. It was no where near as powerful as Bardock's attack, but it was one of Vegeta's favorites, a staple technique.
BardockLast Sunday at 1:23 AM
He knew he shouldn’t have been surprised by the prince’s rapid progress. When you mixed the purest bloodline of a warrior race, with the discipline that Vegeta possessed. Well, that was a combination Bardock wouldn’t be willing to bet against.
A series of energy blasts shot in at him in rapid succession, searing the air in their wake.
Bardock skipped back deflecting one, then another, sending them crashing over his shoulder and slamming into the marble fireplace.
They were too fast, and there were too many of them, he just managed to deflect the third one, but a fourth caught him square in the chest. His shattered armor would offer no protection for him and he took the blast undefended as it pushed him back.
As the smoke cleared he found himself sprawled in a pile of rubble, laughing. The laughter sent pain rushing through his body, and he felt alive with it. “Well fought, prince. Well fought indeed.”

"I'm not finished with you yet!" Vegeta called out as he took a massive leap into the air. "If you can talk, you can still fight!" The prince rolled himself into a somersault mid jump, then straightened his body out in an effort to drive his leg into the laid out opponent.
Bardock had proven himself a worthy training partner over the course of the past few weeks, pushing Vegeta along in his progression. The prince understood the value of a loyal warrior at his side, and wanted to prepare Bardock for the tough road he knew lay ahead. The only way to do that was to keep pushing back.
BardockLast Wednesday at 3:20 PM
Bardock grimaced as the prince flipped into the air, driving his leg down hard at Bardock. The Saiyan prince’s speed even now catching him off guard. He must spend a considerable amount of his training focused on improving his speed. He thought, bringing his arms across his chest in an ‘X’ to defend his now unarmored, and exposed midsection.
The marble tile flooring cracked and splintered as the attack fell upon the Saiyan with such force that his body very nearly bounced with the impact his body was subjected to.
He grimaced, his gloved hands firing like pistons, you’re not the only one who has been improving, prince. He reached for the prince’s outstretched foot. A sudden bust of explosive force as his white-hot aura ignited around him. If he could secure a hold of the prince’s foot, he would need all the momentum he could muster to swing him in a tight spin so that he could slam the prince’s body through the thick marble column, flinging him into the far wall.
