Yamato: Champion II, Combat Rune
The image of the astral plain took on the appearance of an Earth Gym, there were mates placed upon various sections of the floor a ring inside the center of the room, a corner of the room dedicated to weights and work out equipment such as stationary bikes.
There were two heavy bags and a single speed bag and in another corner of the gym, there was a wooden man. At the current moment, Joseph was honing his boxing techniques on a black heavy bag.
The child performed a number of straight jabs, repeating a one-two combination with each hand. Afterwards, he stood in place and repeatedly struck the bag with his left, not moving from his position as he practiced motionless jabs.
After taking some time to practice the technique with both his left and right hands, Joseph took to a more dynamic approach and bobbed from side to side and moving his head in torso in a figure eight motion as he inched towards the bag and then launching swinging bending arms to assault it with left and right hooks. Joseph continued drilling this moving forward striking the and moving back to rinse and repeat.

As Yamato had been resting at home on the Van Eltia for a change, he felt himself starting to drift off. Yet, it wasn't sleep related even in the slightest. The gem that was hanging by a chain around his neck started to glow and force his mind away from his body and into the astral realm once again. Crimson irises blinked, taking in the sights that were starting to appear all around him. He recognized it as a gym on Earth, not one he had been to, but the planet was his home, so the culture wasn't foreign to him.
People lifted weights and worked solo on their moves off to the side, while others took their momentum with boxing; their fists smashing into punching bags. It felt like the people here were real, but it appeared to just be a figment of a memory, likely by the person that had pulled his consciousness here. The demon moved forward and across the mats placed against the floor, only for his gaze to land on a familiar figure just up ahead. The boy's body weaved as he started his practices, getting into the element of boxing.
Both arms folded over the demon's chest as a grin began to spread over his features. The boy who had been among their ranks for the Oath recruits was standing right in front of him. "Nice moves you've got there." Yamato mused, his thick accent bouncing off the walls of the false building. "Joseph, right?"

The child looked over his shoulder upon hearing a voice that signals the end of his solitude. He was met with the face and energy of the right hand of the "True King" Tarble. After realizing who was his new company in the realm, Joseph stopped his drill and turned to face and address the new presence within the immaterial plain.
"Oh hello and thank you, You're Yamato, right? I mean Red King Yamato." The child's knowledge of the Oath empire was still rather vague and he wasn't even quite sure what it was about even after that gathering and the mission on Kanassa. As a matter of face, he never heard of it before attending the meeting and hearing about it from the others that were there.
Joseph was pensive in deciding whether or not he would make any true commitment to the Oath Empire or anything associating with it. Only a hand full were people Joseph judged to have compatible values, and still wanted to learn about the rest, to see what he was going into before having to work with them or against them. "What brings you here?"

Joseph turned to face the demon then, only to address him by name and then shortly after a title that only one person has ever called him before. A slight flush hit his cheeks at being called 'Red King', something that only Rufus had called him and stuck with him for a while. But now that it was said aloud by another, well.. he needed to get used to it, but he could definitely enjoy the title. Lifting a fist to his mouth and clearing his throat, he managed to regain his composure in order to respond. "Ahem, yes. Just Yamato is fine though." A grin began to spread over his features, wanting to keep a friendly atmosphere instead of one that demanded attention like Tarble often did.
Though, despite the friendly nature, Joseph was still on the passive side, definitely keeping to himself more than anything. When asked what he was doing here, both of the demon's shoulders lifted into a lazy shrug. "Dunno." A single hand lifted, his index finger and thumb gripping onto the silver chain and lifting the gem dangling down the middle of it. "This little beauty just started to shine and brought me here." Releasing his grip on the pendant, he made his way forward as both of his hands idly slipped into his jean pockets.
"This seems to be a place you like to be, eh?" A boxing ring, training equipment everywhere.. it was a place that Yamato could get behind too, especially when he used to live on Earth. Yamato moved forward until he rounded the small child and nestled his back against the neighboring wall as those crimson irises gazed down towards the other male. "I take it you didn't even realize the shift in reality? You seemed awfully into your training." While he'd normally offer up some sort of sparring, he realized that these new recruits were still wary about joining, plus its members.
Take it one step at a time.
These people needed to get to know them and forge some sort of bond, otherwise, they'd never likely see themselves joining up with the Oath. "I suppose while I'm here, I'll join 'ya." Without making it too awkward or forward, he moved to the punching bag beside Joseph's and brought his fists up at the ready. One of his arms jabbed forward, slamming into the red bag with a decent amount of force before sending another devastating uppercut into the leather bag. A single ruby orb shifted to glance at Joseph, that grin still nestled on his face.
It was best to just be himself and show that the stereotypes of demons didn't always stick to every single one of them.

The child simply nodded when Yamato revealed the telepathy gem and explained what brought him to the astral realm. He was however still surprised that someone of such supposed high standing as the Red King was drawn into the realm to be met with someone like Joseph of all people.
That may not have been that far fetched since he was one of the people that attending the gathering. The demon was also quite cordial, which was a good sign that showed the man didn't have a grudge against Joseph over what had happened with that last mindflayer, even saying it was fine to address him merely be his first name.
"I guess so," Joseph replied simply to Yamato's statement regarding the gym. The boy had a gym in his hometown where he enjoyed honing his boxing technique. He learned a great deal of what he knew about boxing as a sport and martial art from the coach that ran its boxing program, Joseph wasn't really inclined to disclose that. The boy solemn had much of a predilection for sharing things about himself unless it was with his mother or social worker, or his priest.
Joseph nodded affirming that he hadn't noticed the shift in reality. When Yamato said he'd join Joseph in his practice the child didn't object. He looked as Yamato gave two strikes to the bag and turned to the child and smiled. The boy simply looked at the demon for a moment and turned around and went back to striking the bag with jabs and hooks.
