The monk continued his perusal of the tomes of the dusty old library at the Academy. It seemed to the monk that the wealth of knowledge contained within should not be gathering dust, but actively studied and celebrated. Such was the way of the universe though. The lights went out suddenly, and Krillin looked up, noticing that his candle had burnt all the way down. Was it that late already? He gathered up his things, placing a few of the books that caught his eye into his bag before gathering up to leave. He wasn't tired, despite the late hour but there was little training to be done this time of night, there were strict rules about using the training grounds so late.
He shouldered his pack and as he did his arm brushed against the crimson gem he kept on his belt. He looked down at the swirling inside that beckoned, pulling at him. "Not a bad idea at all...," he mumbled to himself. He ran his fingers along the faceted surface one more time, the familiar woosh of the astral realm flooding his ears.

A gentle breeze washed over the princes face as he stood upon the cliff side over looking the deep sapphire oceans below. The mystic realm had generated a peaceful and calming world so he could just let his mind relax... his meditations and time spent in this realm soothed the mind since a creature such as he never slept. But it would not be long before some annoyance transpired, some being brought forth to speak or fight. Sometimes the encounters pleased the primordial, other times he just wanted to find them in the world of the living and rip their souls from their meat suits.
Exhaling the ancient lord manifested a fine cigar, the tip already lit from the mystical energies of its conjuration, the tobacco infused smoke drew into his mouth and he slowly exhaled the billowing cloud of smoke out over the cliff side.
"Any minute now I'm sure..."
Azazel tapped his foot as he stared at the glistening rays of sunlight across the water.

The ocean breeze was fresh, the smell filling his nostr....pores. He breathed in deeply through his skin, the curious mutation allowing him to 'smell' the air keenly. He knew this to be the astral realm, but it reminded him very much of his camp site for training back on the beaches of earth. Immediately though he felt the power of an ancient being, the air thick with the stench of demon..or something else?
He turned to face the dark figure that stood, very little visible from this angle, the sun casting but a long shadow of the form, a bright tip of a cigar all that seperated the figure from his shadow.

The prince did not need bother turn his attention away from the view, he felt the distortions... the displacement of another being entering the realm. A human... who had been touched by death more than once stood not far behind him, the stain upon his soul was very clear to Azazel's supernatural senses... he had of course been the Archangel of Death once upon a time... The dark lord exhaled another cloud of smoke as he placed his gloved hands inside his long trench coat pockets, the crimson material flowing as he turned to face the newcomer.
"Knew it would only be a matter of time before something showed.."
Azazel walked forward casually, the embers of his cigar burning brightly as his ebony locks swayed with every foot step he made.
"Hopefully you are more interesting than the last one... mortals have such a innate talent for pissing me off."

Krillin felt the pressure from the being, the overwhelming power even through the astral link. Still, the tainted aura left him in a state of unease and disgust.
"I'm afraid if you're looking for someone not to piss you off, you'll be sorely disappointed," said the monk with a chuckle. "Don't get me wrong, I am not here to cause you trouble. We both know I pose no threat, so I won't pretend that I do."
Krillin walked towards the being, stopping a few short feet away. He looked up at the imposing figure in front of him with, no fear evident on his face," but pissing off a soul as tainted with evil deeds as yours..that I intend to do fully"
KronoToday at 10:21 PM
"Hahahaha, do not pretend to know of my evil deeds... I've also no soul... those came into creation long after I was given purpose, ignorant mortals always assuming they know the totality of things... when there is so much more."
Azazel looked down at the man, interestingly enough he was about as frustrated as a mortal would be with an ant... his only issue was the man thinking he knew what he was.. and what he had ever done.
"You simple little creatures..." Azazel turned his back on the Human and puffed out another cloud of smoke as he walked back towards the cliff edge, instead of annoyance he was yet again plagued by boredom.

"Then enlighten me," called the monk at the being's back. "I seek knowledge above all else save for kindness," he said, intrigued by the beings claim. "I can feel the blood on your hands. If I am wrong, then I welcome the knowledge," asked the human, genuinely intrigued by the dark figure.

Azazel look down upon his hands as the human spoke, it was true his hands were stained with blood, but not out of some kind of insane murderous rage or need to kill... it had been his role in the grand scheme of things, he had been death incarnate... and for all intents and purposes he still was. The dark lord clenched his hands into fists and then relaxed them, his knuckles making an audible pop.
"Sure I have killed, it was my purpose... death was my domain long before my fall from grace... what you perceive as evil... ancient beings like myself would look at as duty... what your mind tells you is foul... what your eyes show you... it is only what you can comprehend, I was not always what you would consider a dark and malevoulent force Child... and yes before you retort... to me you are a child... a grain of sand in an hour glass I've watched fall since the sand was placed there so long ago..."
Azazel scratched his chin as he spoke, his eyes still looking out over the ocean.
"Tell me human... why you see knowledge when one such as yourself is but a fluttering flame in the wind... burning brightly but altogether gone so fast?"
