VASH Last Wednesday at 3:48 PM
Takes place in the not so distant future, after Vash has joined the Oath:
Vash had returned to the Valiant to ponder the events that had just happened. What had begun as a seemingly chance encounter suddenly now had the appearance of fate’s intervention. He had agreed to join this group known as ‘the Oath,’ with a promise of things to come on the horizon.
The situation had escalated quickly, as just as soon as the alliance had been forged, they were called away from the Astral realm to deal with an immediate threat. The opportunity to better acquaint himself with his new comrades just wasn’t there, and save for Azazel, Vash was a stranger in their midst. If he was going to get the most out of this new experience, he was going to have to change that.
He focused on one individual in particular, the one who had sworn his allegiance to Tarble long before the group had come together. Truth be told, it was Yamato’s views of the self proclaimed King that swayed Vash to join their cause in the first place. Tarble was a natural born leader, or so it had seemed, and Yamato was the best example of his endearing qualities.
The world around the demon disappeared as he was whisked away once again to a realm of telepathy. A vast desert materialized around him, sand dunes rolling like hills as far as his eyes could see, their caps whipped into points by the unencumbered winds. He awaited with his arms folded for Yamato to answer his call.

A bit of time had passed since Tarble had taken Yamato along to meet with recruits for the Oath Empire. It wasn't exactly a place for anyone to get to know each other, as it was for people to merely speak and examine Tarble. Yamato, he had merely just been there to protect his brother. And despite them not being related by birth parents, they still shared the same blood by the oath that they had made some time ago. Tarble and Yamato had separated momentarily and while Tarble went about training, Yamato had went to spend time with the crew. The Van Eltia shifted from its fit space-travel to one that would now settle into the ocean waves. Currently docked, the pirates had rushed aboard the ship, the loot in hands as they laughed merrily and tossed their earnings into the vault within. Yamato had been among them, considering he had married into the life, he was now their Captain's second mate.
The demon gazed off over the horizion as they began to set sail, the crew exclaiming about getting the bottles of alcohol prepared for celebration. But it was in that moment that the demon felt his mind assaulted, a hand lifting to cup the side of it as the world around him began to shift. Someone was attempting to invade his mind, to come and see him. It was another trip to the astral realm, it seemed. So, Yamato took the only familiar setting that he could and kept it to his home. As things shifted, the crew vanished from around him, leaving himself alone with a single energy signature that was now approaching from behind.
Crimson irises blinked as he turned around, the ocean waves crashing along the sides of the pirate ship as he turned to face the other demonic energy that had come to see him. That red overcoat glared beneath the sun's rays, the familiar blonde hair and sunglasses nestled over his face... it was Vash, one of the people that had come to ally himself with Tarble of the Oath. Blinking his hues, he turned to face the other demon fully and despite his socially awkward nature, let a grin begin to grow over his face.
"Long time no see, Vash."

"I agree, Yamato, it has been awhile," Vash replied sternly. A strong gust of wind rustled his golden locks for a brief moment. "I'm sure you're wondering why I called you in the first place." He paused for a moment and adjusted his glasses.
"We didn't get a chance to get properly acquainted last time," he explained. "I've had some time to really think about everything, and to be honest, I have some questions. You seem to know Tarble the best, he certainly has your loyalty, that was clear from the get go..."
Vash took a couple steps closer to Yamato, his duster billowing in the breeze. "He's certainly charismatic. Shit, he even got Az to buy in, and I know first hand that guy plays by his own rules." Snippits of memories of his and Azazel's time on Damaskia flashed through the Crimson Typhoon's mind, as well as the events of Kanassa after the group had formed.
"Ive seen this kind of leadership before," he continued, his eyes drawn to his feet in remembrance. "Ive been apart of a group like this before. And it didn't end well. I want to be sure of what I've gotten myself into. Tell me, what drives you? What has Tarble done to earn such devotion from you? I'm curious."

Yamato soon came to realize that this meeting actually had purpose behind it. While many seemed to be random chance meetings and forged without a real purpose behind it... Vash seemed to have a certain agenda with this one. The blonde made his way forward as he spoke and while most people would suddenly be on guard by such a move, Yamato's body remained slouched. Even if it was the astral realm, where no harm could come to him, he'd have still held this sort of stature nevertheless. Questions were on the other demon's mind, a lot of things about Tarble, namely.
While he loved Tarble like a brother, he had to admit that constantly being asked about the man was somewhat disheartening. But he shrugged it off, considering this was more Tarble's scene than his anyway. Vash wanted to know what drove Yamato to Tarble's side, what has he done to really be given such loyalty. He had been in another group like this before and things turned out badly... Yamato could only imagine what that meant. Giving a gentle nod of the head, he let his hands slip into his pockets as he parted open his mouth to speak.
"Well, as I said the other day... Tarble's saved my life once. My family and I, we were hunted down by an organization for generations, all because of what we are." Demons. And despite it not being a choice made by them, it was what they did that caused attention onto them. "Back then, I wasn't strong enough to take on so many people at once, no matter how hard I tried. The Earth government captured me and my family and placed on a public stage to be executed." Taking a second, he soon brought his arms to wrap over his chest in a tight fold. "Tarble came in and saved me and family, despite the fact that he detested demons. He was married to my best friend who died many years ago and well.. he was cruel to me for many years. If given the chance, he would have killed me for merely breathing in his direction. But when that moment came, he.. came in and saved us." A small grin came over his face at remembering, even if it was a grim time.
With a sigh, he shifted his weight to the side and continued. "After that day, he vowed to protect us. To do everything in his power to ensure our survival. He helped us with a curse that had plagued our family for centuries and helped us to live again without fear. He's also the one person that drove me to getting even stronger than I was before. And after following behind him, I decided to walk beside him." Tarble was the sort of person that inspired people, but really, it had always went both ways for the two of them.
"I wouldn't even be alive right now if he hadn't come for us on that stage that day. I'd give my everything to ensure he obtains his goals."
