Vegeta (gem, WC 699)

"Faster," the yaidratian elder barked as Vegeta sprinted across the top if a series of logs, as fast as he felt he could without topping over. A year ago he wouldnt even waste his time with something so menial, but that was then and this was now.
"Again," the command came again as he sprinted back to the origin point. When he reached the last log, his footing slipped, and the prince fell to the rocky floor. His face turned bright red with anger as he heard the elder chuckle at his expense.
That old fool is lucky I dont blast him into oblivion, Vegeta thought as he clamored back up to a standing position and dusted himself off.
I heard that, the elder replied. I think that's enough for one day. Why don't you take a break. Use that gem I gave you. Might do you some good.
The prince reluctantly obliged and returned to his quarters. He sat in a meditative position and grabbed hold of the gem, its mystic power whisked him away to the astral realm.
His body materialized in a vast field of light blue crystalline flowers on a bright double sun filled day. He folded his arms and awaited the arrival of another. Vegeta had enough astral realm encounters to expext at least that much.
Levana
Levana was unpacking in her old apartment again. She was pretty sure though that Zantaro had arranged for it to be still available for her after all this time. She looked at the few things she had brought with her form her ship, when she vaguely sensed a familiar presence. It was not very clear though and felt far away even. Far beyond this planet even.
She looked up a frowned a little, while concentrated on the energy to figure out who it was…. Vegeta!? It must have been over a year since she last saw the Saiyan Prince. Damn, it was even that long ago, that she couldn’t exactly remember their last encounter.
She also figured now that he was calling her from the astral realm. How odd. They had mostly met by coincidence. Never before had he called out to her. She had never even met in the spirit world.
The feline down sat down and closed her eyes, while her mind wondered off. Moments later she stood indeed face to face with her old acquaintance.
“Hello, Vegeta, long time no see,” she greeted him friendly but slightly suspicious too, “did you summon me?

"Levana?" Vegeta blinked his eyes as the cat eared warrior called out to him. It was odd, he hadnt seen her in a very long time. Part of him thought her to be dead. Bus, here she was, in the flesh, sort of.
The prince was still getting reacquainted with the mystical inner workings of the astral gem. He wasn't trying to reach out to her intentionally, but perhaps some part of his subconscious had manipulated the gem to bring her forth.
He shook his head in response. "It wasnt my intention," he explained with a slight look of confusion. "But this is a pleasant surprise. It has been a long time indeed. I thought you may have perished. I'm relieved that's not the case. Where have you been?" He asked. Vegeta wasnt much for having personal relationships with many, but his interest in Levana was genuine.
Levana
For a moment Levana could only stare at the Saiyan Prince. Wait, what? She blinked twice, opened her mount to say something but no sound came out, so she just closed it again.
Was that a kind of apology, an expression of friendliness and a genuine interested question about her being, all in one sentence? By Vegeta? Sure she never had problems with the full blood, one might even say they got along rather well, given who he was and how he usually behaved, especially towards non full bloods. But this…. was a bit odd to say at least. Something was off here.
She cleared her throat so she would finally manage to say something, hopefully before he noticed her hesitation. “That is… no problem at all… I am… glad to see you again too,” the words still came out rather slowly, while she tried to figure out what to answer.
“Still alive and kicking as you can see,” she continued with a soft smile, “I thought the same about you... Oh, you know, I’ve been here and there… nothing special… I’m staying on Kelioux at the moment, at the academy…”
This small talk felt awkward, not bad, but awkward, “… so and… where have you been?”

Levana was awkward and hesitant in her replies. Vegeta had a hard time retracing their previous interactions to see if this was normal for her, or if there was something wrong. Not that it truly mattered, but he did find her a bit strange.
"In an incubation pod, for the most part," he scoffed. "Seems I had some sort of accident. I haven't been myself lately, but I am taking steps to bring myself back to my former glory. It's a frustratingly slow process..." his voice trailed off. Frustrating was putting it lightly. On the inside, he was furious that he had allowed himself to be reduced to a shadow of what he once was. The fact that he couldn't even remember the event that caused it, and was forced to rely on a rehabilitation program bothered him to no end. He knew that he had to stay the course, though. It was the only way to achieve what he was after. His pride wouldn't allow him to show just how frustrated he truly was.
He began to stretch his arms across his chest, and cracked his neck side to side. "I've been itching for some combat. Would you care to pit yourself against royalty? Or has that side of you gathered some rust stuck in a school?"
Levana
She nodded understanding and offered him another smile. Now that actually made sense. Though the part where he didn’t seem sure what exactly had happened to him did concerned. She wondered how severe his injuries really were. Her intuition told her to not ask much further about that at this point though.
Levana laughed as he challenged her to a small fight, at least that part of him was still the same. She took on a defensive battle stance as an answer, “I must admit I haven’t been traing as much as I used to, but once a warrior always a warrior right?”
She had noticed that his power level was much lower than it used to be, and even if it didn’t seem anything like him, she kind of assumed he suppressed it for one reason or another. She remembered very well how strong he was during their last fight and it was only fair to think that he had become even more powerful in the meantime, even if he had a little drawback from some accident. So she didn’t bother to keep her own power suppressed anymore, and powered up to her full potential immediately, knowing it might only be half of his.
“Bring it on.”

"Well I can see that all that reading isn't a complete waste," Vegeta joked as he first swung his arms behind his back before bringing them forward and planting his right fist into his left palm, hopping up and down slowly as his muscles loosened. "You're a bit stronger than last time. Lets see just how much!"
Vegeta burst forward, channeling energy into his leg as the crystalline flowers swayed in his wake. He planted his left foot into the earth and brought his right around, aiming for the corner of Levana's neck and shoulder, detonating the ki on any potential impact. He would then spin, bringing his elbow around towards Levana's midsection
Levana
The feline woman braced herself, with her eyes carefully locked on her opponent, as the Saiyan Prince rushed forward. In a smooth and even elegant manner she ducked and moved to the side as he aimed his leg towards her head. She brought her right arm up to intercept the incoming elbow and circle it away from her, while her left fist immediately swung towards his chest. She moved her balance to her left foot and circled her right knee towards his lower ribs.
