Lilim made it clear that she was here to forge a relationship with those of the Oath, so that not only can she help them out, but so that they could help her at the end of the day. It was almost like a business partner deal, one of which that everyone was used to and always helped with progress of many organizations at the end of the day. The demon nodded, realizing that Lilim didn't really mean much harm by her offer of helping him in the past. Though.. her priorities were different back then, so his feelings weren't in the wrong either. If anything, he was spot on with being suspicious. However, the Lilim of the past and the present were nearly different entities. While a lot of things forged Yamato and his future, the same could be said for the Demon Queen.
Lilim seemed to be... actually happy in knowing that Yamato and his clan were able to get on their feet. Having a ship of their own, a cause and nation. With a small chuckle, the demon's hand moved to slide into his jean pockets as he tilted his head towards the woman in front of him. "Aye. Though Tarble and I work together, we're equals. He leads the Finis and I the Van Eltia." And while Tarble was King of Rex Cathedrae, so was Yamato. He had been the Demon King after the fall of Rex Cathedrae due to the Demonscourge. His family had worked on forming a cure and it was actually found.
That cure, Yamato wouldn't certain if he should speak of it just yet. While it was effective, he didn't know who would use or abuse it.
Crimson irises fluttered slightly before lifting towards Lilim, who grew curious of how his clan had been fairing. "A lot has happened..." The thoughts mulled in his head before he gave a small nod. "The clan consisted of me and my cousins who took me in after the Second Fall of Rex Cathedrae. Jiro, Zack, Sora, Kashi, Akito. Though they're my cousins, we see each other as brothers and sister. However.. one of the Founder King's ring bearers came and killed Kashi with a soul extinguishing knife." Meaning, his soul was gone and there was no way in bringing him back.
"Despite this... our family is growing. Zack has managed to have a child, Akito is currently having one... and I've had quite a few as well." The topic was slightly embarrassing, but it made him smile all the same. "As for the curse..." It was the thing that Lilim had really been intrigued with back then and what brought her to Yamato in the past. "Thanks to Tarble and Rufus... the curse was lifted." They no longer needed to eat people in order to live.
Tilting his head, he found himself... a bit lighter now in front of Lilim. Perhaps it was because she admitted to her intentions of being impure back then and having a change in what she wanted. But whatever the case, he didn't mind being open with someone that was going to help their cause. "I take it your worlds have come under attack if you're seeking our aid? Might I know what's been going on with your front?" Really, it was just an excuse to learn more about her as well.

"So your two ships operate in tandem--clever for survival and success," she agreed with a thoughtful hum. Despite her many years of existence, she knew and had cared little for such things. Space ships seemed like more of an inconvenience than a help, but now that she had a growing empire, she suddenly found herself wanting for them now--as well as the relevant skills to use them. Demons had no such need for them in Hell, but now that they were part of her Empire... well, now there was a need for something that they had no ability or knowledge to produce.
"I see... my condolences. Even I cannot help with such a fate. While your clan grows, its threats seem even higher now. Such knives are difficult to defend against, though... I might have a few tricks I could tech you and yours," she followed up on his discussion about his clan. It was growing, and that was great to hear, her smile widening after stating that the curse upon his kith and kin had been lifted. They were still demons, of course, but now their lives could be made a little easier... or at least more humane. She had no room to talk--she drank the blood of mortals like wine.
"No, they have not--if anything, the galaxy has allowed me and my forces to do as we will. The issue is not in security but in expansion. Demons... especially those I have liberated from Hell, they have no reason to study mechanical endeavors. Ships and star travel are things they never busied themselves with, myself particularly. As you might have guessed, higher learning of such things was never a priority. Now that we are growing our own nation in the Mortal Realms, we suddenly have need of it--and no one within our ranks capable of researching or producing them. That is why I came to you and Tarble--for that knowledge and means to make expansion far more enabled. I have a legion of a hundred-thousand demons ready to provide manpower to a conflict. If anything, I am offering security to you as part of the arrangement."

It was true, with their growth and prowess, it only brought more threat to the family. But at the same time, it also helped them grow even more, despite such a loss. Though Lilim didn't have any means of helping save Kashi from his fate, she may have some sort of tricks in mind for use at a later time. It was something that Yamato would agree to and ask about in the future. With Rose still being a major threat, especially with her still wielding such a knife, it would be good knowledge for their final battle coming up.
Lilim, however, wasn't being targeted by anyone. If anything, people left her to do as she pleased. It was more-so her wanting to expand out of the pits of hell and move into the mortal realm. They weren't used to being in such a place, due to their birth and living conditions below, they were complete contrasts. "Well, I think you've come to the right place." Though it was confidence that he was giving off, it wasn't just blunder with meaningless words. "We'll help you expand and you'll help us with possible battles." A small grin found him then as he moved to settle down on the edge of the ship, leaning back as he looked the demoness over carefully.
Releasing a cigarette from its pouch, he lifted the cancer stick up to his lips, where a flicker of crimson flames would radiate off his thumb and light the bud. An inhale of the smoke was taken as he leaned back, his arm draping across the back of the seat casually. "Well, I must apologize for any sort of discomfort I might have given you." While he was an honest person with what he liked or disliked, it wasn't fair to judge her after so many years passing. But, at least she proved it to him and enabled them to cross this shaky bridge that had once been set between them.
"As for a ship, I have a feeling Tarble can help with that. A friend named Korsack built the Finis and enabled the Van Eltia space travel, when it was merely only used for the ocean." He was a crafty bastard, but it was also good to know that they already had means to help Lilim out.
An eye for an eye, most would say.

"Mhm--I thought as much" she said lowering her head a little as her smile grew, the smallest of nods to him when he mentioned being able to help her. "I have a few of my personal entourage prepared to accept whatever teachings your 'Korsack' could provide, unless you would prefer it to be strictly transactional--I can go either route. Yours can teach mine, or I can provide the materials, working hands, and financial incentive to build ships for me. We can even host your shipwrights on my worlds, if you would rather. I have a need for a great many ships--so I would be pleased with either route," she said, swaying a little as she took a seat near him... but not quite next to him. Close enough for a proper conversational tone.
As he produced a cigarette, she made a motion with her hands--a small device materialized in the seat separating from them, a vase with water in the bottom, coalescing into a stem at the top, crowned with a covered bowl of hashish and a burning coal. A straw-like tube came from the middle of the device, allowing her to take in a lung-full of the substance into her lungs. She held it for a long moment before letting the breath out, the mixture producing a stinging-sweet sensation of Nightshade, Foxsglove, and Larkspur. For anyone else, it might have been a dangerous scent--for demons? It was a delicacy.
"For my Empire, I want to ensure security and mobility, for trade and borders."

The demon mulled these words over a bit, tilting his head as another puff of smoke rose up from past his lips. Even as Lilim moved to sit beside him, he didn't flinch or move away. If anything, he showed how comfortable he was, despite what he might have shown to be distaste a while back. So, with his arms still wrapped over the back of the seat, he leaned forward a bit as he watched Lilim as she practically joined him for a smoke; though hers was in better taste than his cancer sticks. "Well, if you want to see Korsack in person, I don't see the harm. You'd just need Tarble around with 'ya. Especially for those good deals." The flash of a wink was given in a playful gesture. Korsack was a very hard man and only trusted very few people as it was.
Lilim's ideas reached the demon's ears and he nodded along to each one of them. Each one would prove beneficial for them both. Korsack teaching Lilim's engineers and the demoness providing materials.. even providing shipwright on the ships that the Demon Queen possessed. "You give a lot of good offers. Tarble and I will have a lot to discuss." A grin found his face once more and despite the need for discussion, she'd be able to tell that she'd get what she deserved out of the conversation no matter what was chosen.
With the demoness' final statement about what she really desired from all of this, Yamato would nod as he lifted his head back a bit. "It's something we all wish to obtain. Both of our empires have the right amount of manpower to help one another. I think to that end, this alliance will do us both good." Shifting his head, those crimson irises landed on the woman beside him, his grin softening into a smile. "Thanks for choosing us, among anyone else you could have gone to."

"I will be sure to discuss matters with Tarble and Korsack simultaneously if able--I want this arrangement to be done as amicably as possibly," she agree, shifting ever so slightly for comfort--and maybe to show off more of her figure as well. She was not entirely certain what kind of person he was, of course--it was more of a force of habit. A shift there, an alteration there, and she was as much of eye candy for a man as she possibly could be--and Yamato did a lot to settle whatever nerves she might have had to pull her into relaxing with him.
"You and yours were my first choice, actually," she admitted casually with a soft giggle in her throat. "I had heard of Rex Cathedrae's prophesy, I know some of its history, and I have a personal interest in seeing it fulfilled. This foe--the Daemonscourge--is a mutual enemy for us both, and I want to maximize our chances of defeating it. An alliance seemed natural and prodictive--out of all the other places to align with, we have the most in common. And well... I would be lying if I said yours didn't have the most open of minds to me and mine."

The demon noticed the shuffling beside him, causing a single crimson to lower slightly as he watched Lilim getting more comfortable. Her frame had moved ever so slightly, her curves arching outward as her arm draped over her hip. Yamato felt his gaze lingering and moving along each curve, his irises widening slightly as he started to take it all in. It was like he suddenly felt drunk, despite not even taking a sip of alcohol yet. Was this what an allure felt like..? Is this what Yamato made people feel like with his own? Two creatures that held allure to their opposition were sitting next to one another and for once in his life, Yamato was struggling with himself.
He never looked at another person due to his loyalty, so why was his eyes betraying him?
It was in that split moment that his eyes managed to move up towards his own hand, that wedding band nestled comfortably over his ring finger. And just like that, he felt that veil breaking, his own allure helping him to overpower the scent that was desperately trying to claw into his senses. And despite having just struggled with this, he didn't glare at Lilim or show any sort of anger. Yamato realized that it wasn't the demoness' actual intentions, just something natural about her that just came with the territory of who she was.
But now that he was able to see through the thick air that had once threatened him, he found that he'd now be able to relax more in her presence without losing his way.
Lilim then spoke, breaking the demon out of his stupor, that it was Tarble and Yamato that were her very first option of mind. Above all people in the universe, it was them and their ties to Rex Cathedrae. While Tarble wasn't born there, Yamato was, so he felt grateful in that moment for someone wanting to help with the demonscourge. His features shifted to a more serious tone now as he sat up fully, his brows narrowing in the slightest degree. "We're appreciative for your help." And then Lilim mentioned that they were really the most open minded to someone like her and those that served her. His eyes widened slightly upon hearing that, but he found his features softening once more.
"Don't worry, we accept quite a lot of different kind here." Though she probably wasn't worried, he wanted her to know that she could be at ease with them.

"Thank you," she said sweetly, her lips curling into an even deeper smile, showing off her demonic fangs to him--elongated canines that bespoke a past of violence and sheer, utter freedom. That was what Hell used to be--now, not so much. It was a prison.
"As I appreciate the help of you and yours. I hope our alliance can become quite permanent on even-footing. It is not my intention to cause anyone duress--my fellow demons have a want for true freedom, and I believe with you, I can truly achieve that."
