It was a calm afternoon at the Academy which not much to do for a welcome change. Levana returned early to her apartment and used her extra time to clean up a bit and go through all the stuff she had left behind, almost a year ago when she had left Kelioux all of a sudden.
I the back of a closet she found a box with about a dozen of pictures. She sat down on the ground and spread them out in front of her. All this time she had spend on Earth, traveling with old friends, and then on Kelioux and all she had of the time that had past and the people she had known were twelve pictures… Though she had pretty good vivid memories for people and events, she still felt a little sad that this was all that was left…
Her attention was drawn to a picture of Daji and Hayami, standing in front of their Dojo on Grace and she wondered how they were doing now.
Well the fastest way was to see if she could catch one off them in astral realm of course. She closed her eyes and let her mind wander off in search for Daji or Hayami, wherever they were.

The Astral Realm would indeed be the best way of contacting Daji--his mind often travelled through it like a fish might traverse a stream or lake--and thus, when Levana emerged through the stream of consciousness and dreams, she would find herself upon a visualization of the Kitsune's dojo and surrounding farm--a familiar sight to Levana's eyes, to be certain. She had been there once before, and there was no better way to reassure someone than to grant them something familiar to look upon. Daji was sitting in the middle of an empty field, the training area he had cleared away for his students to train during the warmer, clearer days of Grace's otherwise temperamental weather. Sometimes, Grace was quite calm--other times, it was as if the planet was throwing a tantrum every day, but thankfully, the breeze was gentle the clouds puffy and white to dot across the sky.
The Kitsune Ninja Master's ears perked up at some sort of sound, allowing Daji to turn his head towards the visitor, a bright smile on his face as he looked upon the familiar woman. "Ah, Levana! I had a feeling you might be visiting at some point--I trust your travels have treated you well?"

Pretty much as expected it did not take long before Daji answered her call and created a realm for them to meet which was an exact replica of the field in front of Kitsuns Dojo.
Pretty much as expected as well the young Ninja greeted her with his everlasting, slightly childish enthusiasm. Levana returned the smile, be it a bit more modest probably, but not less sincere. Luckily there still seemed to be things that did not change in these turbulent times and galaxy.
“Hello Daji,” she replied with a little nod, “Oh really now? I must becoming predictable then…” she joked at his remark about his assumption of her visit.
She paused a moment though, hesitant, before answering to the rest of his question. “Well, let’s say it has been a interesting year, but I’m still alive and kicking, so… I could be worse I guess, haha,” she ended with a short laugh. She didn’t want to lie to the Daji, but she didn’t feel like going into detail at that point either.
“How have you been? How’s Hayami?” she returned the question.

"Not necessarily predictable--it was more of a lucky guess. Sometimes, you get hints about things in this realm, but they can get pretty vague and aren't always timely. Sometimes, I can hear other people's dreams, but when I ask them about it, it was either way far out in the past or it hadn't actually occurred yet. I'm still trying to make sense of it myself, honestly," he said with a bit of a sheepish, nervous look, like he wasn't at all confident when it came to this sort of thing. Hayami was definitely better at it.
"Well, we are doing quite well--we are still planning the wedding and all, but Hayami has been out on business lately, so we had to wait until she got things sorted," he explained, albeit in a bit of a vague way. He was more trying to keep Hayami's activities with Damaskia under wraps for now--she was still relying on secrecy to be her shield. It was extremely important to her, which made it all the more important to stay true to her desires.
"So far, everything is well. We have all the time in the world though. Is something troubling you?"

Levana smiled and nodded at Daji’s explanation about why the wedding had been postponed for now. She didn’t want to admit that she had been so caught up with her own things that she had almost forgotten about that. If there had been a hint of awkwardness or secrecy in his tone, she didn’t notice at that point or she ignored it. She didn’t ask any more details about the how or why, if he wanted to tell her, he would for sure. The Kitsune was usually quite cheerful and talkative.
“Oh, no, I’m fine, thank you for asking,” she answered as honest as possible when he asked if something was troubling her. It wasn’t a lie though, things had settled down again, now that she had returned to Kelioux. Back were she left. “I took a sabbatical, but I returned to the Academy not so long ago to continue my studies and research there. How are things on Grace and at the Dojo? Got any new, interesting students?” she continued the small talk.

Daji nodded along with Levana's explanation concerning her recent sabbatical and her return to the academy on Kelioux, wondering what it was that she researched and studied there, but it was probably a lot of complicated things that he would not understand at that point in time anyway--usually, the people of the Academy studied a lot of ancient things that made the Kitsune's head spin a little, so he was satisfied enough with her answer. He did not look too deeply into whatever expression she might have had--if she said things were fine, then they were probably just fine.
"Oh, no new interesting students, I will say--if anything, things have slowed down a little at the Dojo, though the planet of Grace has seen its fair share of new visitors. If anything, the farm has expanded a little with some more vineyards and orchards--its getting a little complicated, honestly, with all the things I am trying to grow there, heh," she said with a slightly-nervous chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. "I have taken to tending to the fields more and using my free time to travel to some of the other planets, mostly to look into various different masters and learning from them. The more I learn, the more I can refine my own style, you know? The galaxy is so huge and vast--there is definitely something to learn from everyone, or at least, I like to think so. I heard Adel is a magnificent teacher--though I have yet to study under him."

When Daji mentioned his expansion of the vineyards and orchards around the Dojo, she had to grin. Levana remembered that during her stay on Grace Daji made her get up before dawn one day, to go to the local market to buy all kind of new plants, herbs and seeds. It had been fun to see how passionate he was about his side hobby and how much he knew about the native vegetation.
“Yeah I remember your passion for gardening,” she replied and nodded confirming at his explanation about wanting to learn from different Masters to more develop his own style. “I must say I only met Adel very briefly not that long ago. I also didn’t have the chance to train with him personally. The last couple of years the Academy has really grown exponentially, the amount of people that come to Kelioux from all over the Galaxy is enormous. And it is still growing every year… Which is good of course, though it is impossible for the Grandmaster to teach all students himself anymore. He is after all responsible to keep the whole organisation up and running. Especially after part of the Academy was destroyed during that fight…” she paused for a moment, her face stayed neutral but the look in her eyes was sad for a couple of second. “Only a select few still get the privilege to train with Adel himself.”
