Bri Spar incoming.
Joseph wasn't sure where to take the conversation since he had declined the offering to discuss the matter lingering on his mind. He tended to go along conversations by their bread and butter commonplace convention.
Carrying a regular exchange of dialogue was something that alluded the Demi-Earthling. If for carrying the feelings of melancholy over a defeat and relief that his loved ones were safe and the Dragonballs were retained to see to restitution the boy would be overwhelmingly bored hanging around in the astral plain unable to leave the confines of a healing Tank to entertain himself.
The boy stood looking at the magical girl with his static features thinking for a moment, should he just go back to doing what he was doing? He wasn't sure. There was one way to get this encounter somewhere. "What do you want to do now?"

He was still not seemingly sure of what to do at this point. Some brief moment of awkwardness came down over the scene until he asked a simple question of what she wanted to do. Brianne thought about it for a little bit. She had known this place to be a place where people could battle and not suffer unless things went too extreme, so maybe this was a good time to practice her training of people and her own skills?
"Well, I recently was accepted into the Master's Guild, so I guess we can like spar and I we can see if we have any weaknesses we can help the other with? That is what masters are supposed to do after all." Brianne smiled as she said this, not really one for combat, but she knew the importance of practice and maybe it would get the boy to open up a little if they competed a little.

"Oh, that's good to hear. I'm sure there's a lot you can teach people," Joseph thought about the prospect of joining the master's guild, but he felt he wasn't ready to commit himself to it.
Joseph really think of himself as teacher. He occasionally tutored kids and he taught Goku things here and there, Anna said they could teach could other, but they paths were divided before there was time for that prospect, but he considered himself more a student at heart. And he had more of a predilection to take in knowledge more so than administer it.
"That sounds good," he said about the proposal to spar. The boy wanted a chance to practice and he often found that fights that ended quite soon, like his latest match with Broly didn't do it for him in terms of satisfying his urges to fight. The Demi-Earthling stood and faced the magical girl, extending his left hand outward holding the palm vertical, his right arm was bent and held close to his frame. The child's left foot stood behind him with his weight on it. He would stand and wait for Brianne to go first, unless she requested he went first. Though he preferred starting after his opponent.

It didn’t take long for Joseph to take her up on the offer to have a sparring match. It seemed that was something the he desired much more than having a conversation or even a nice walk in the flower covered plains that they could find. Still she understood it as this Universe was one that was often very battle hungry. It was only natural for this boy to desire a battle, especially with the halo that could very well be on his head even in the Astral Realm. He likely needed a way to not die again, or at least that is what she believed. A spar in the Astral Realm would do great for that.
Stances and positions… she had so many of them that she could use, but she decided to go with an old reliable one. She widened her base leaning one shoulder forward, that hand not in a full fist almost like a claw position and the other hand a little higher behind her head but showing the same style as her forward hand. “Well then I guess I’ll start us off. I hope you are ready!”
The Magical Girl jumped into the air, which obviously seemed strange before he rushed forward towards the young boy. On the way she kept her guard tight ready for whatever trick he might have in his repertoire, but only looking to close the distance and make this a melee struggle between the two of them. She didn’t really feel like firing energy all around in this setting. It just felt like a place that a strategy like that wouldn’t make sense. Brianne instead lashed out with rapid fire fist strikes, hoping to create an opening as she tried to break his body down right from the start of this friendly encounter.

When Brianne approached Joseph waited for her strikes to hurl towards him. He pivoted to the side to avoid one blow and ducked to evade another. The boy swung his palms intercepting the blows at the arms and wrists, swaying them off their mark and diminishing their impact.
Towards the end of the flurry Joseph caught a punch with the side of his hand and curled his fingers around the arm in an attempt to trap it. Then he took his free hand launching a quick vertical fist at her stomach. The child then swung his left foot to her right foot, it skid on the grass for a brief moment as it moved to sweep the magical girls leg.
To finish this he would pivot with the arm he attempted to grab to gain leverage and throw her with her own momentum and have her slam on the grass covered ground.

He was quick like a bunny trying to make easy work of the attacks and even ducking under strikes that were aimed at his body. It was a unique trick for someone to do something like that, but Brianne found his tactics unique. He trapped her arm as she finished up her strikes. Even with her one arm trapped she was still in the defensive Tiger Claw Stance which allowed for so much more to do at this point. With force she brought the back arm down across the wrist of the incoming attack to knock it away before he could meet her with the strike to the stomach.
The next part was a leg sweep throw combination. If she hadn’t trained with Master Roshi before she would have likely not seen it coming, but it was easy to avoid. She simply pushed her energy down and took flight. Even in the air he popped his hips to throw her to the ground. Brianne went with the attack grabbing on as she flipped to bring him off balance as well.
It was sudden, but the flip from the ground allowed her right foot to come right towards his jaw. He landed gracefully on the ground her back turned to Joseph now whether the kick connected or not. It didn’t matter to the Magical Girl. All that she was wanting to do was prepare for the next sequence.
This one was an easy decision to make. With her back turned she ran forward, away from Joseph before jumping into the air, a pink flow of energy leaving a trail behind her as she took flight and turned towards him, “I think we should try air combat now! Come and get it!” She taunted waiting to see exactly what he would do this go around.

The flight technique, a mainstream tool to defy gravity and a laws of physics. It often complicated the act throwing opponents with their own momentum. He remembered when Anna managed to save herself from being left prone by a shoulder throw by stopping in midair with the flight technique.
The boy stumbled as Brianne pulled to take him off balance leaving him open for that slide him jaw and sent him rolling on the ground back. He got back to his feet and heard her baiting him to engage her in aerial combat. Joseph dashed forward to oblige.
The Demi-Earthling flicked his wrist dropping down his power pole which was made into the size of pen cap and then elongating it to triple his stature and bring the end to the ground to propel himself up like a vaulter pole
The child rose above the height of the magical girl and brought stick over her shoulder to strike her on the back. He then shot a blast from his feet and perform a flip as he brought his leg down for an axe kick. The ki he charged into his leg would give it a delayed conclusive effect. The child then spun into a semi circle to deliver a spinning hook kick across the magical girl's cheek.

She was slightly confused after her taunts when the boy pulled out a staff in order to meet her in the air. It didn’t seem right for that to happen, but he still propelled himself like an Olympian into the sky. He brought the staff around trying to crash it into her back. She guessed that it made sense because the pole was so long that it could do something like that. She turned and lifted her hands to catch the pole before it crashed down into her back. Brianne’s hands being up to balance the pole though allowed Joseph to twist around and come crashing down with an axe kick to her shoulder. That wasn’t all as the explosion that followed sent her crashing towards the ground below.
She barely managed to stabilize her flight before smashing face first into the ground. That was a fun little trick he used. The maiden made a mental note of that to use in the future or at least try to help someone use if needed. She was a master now, so she had to be good at showing people things like this just as Master Roshi, Guru, Kami, The Yaidrat Elders, King Vegeta, Luther and others had been when teaching her. It was the art of being a teacher that she was still trying to figure out herself.
Not wanting to hesitate much longer she flipped and her feet touched the ground just to allow for a more forceful push off as she charged forward towards her target. The first was a simple attack, kind of basic, but like a charging boar simply using her right hand to attempt a wild strike into his chest. She twisted though in mid flight after the first and bolted forward with both hands extended. This was much more dangerous. The dive of the dragon, had the potential to be a complete game changer. She just wanted to see how the boy would handle this one.
