Yan Cass VS Juch
Social mobility could be rather difficult given the circumstances. Especially with a large imbalance of power. However, with Yan's description of the demon girl, Juch listened closely, "Sometimes, being too perfect can be a drawback," he commented, "The first time I heard of such a concept was during a show for magic tricks."
"If the trick is done too well, then it really narrows down the range of possible solutions, since by its very existence, the trick already negates a large amount of possibilities."
"Did you manage to get her name?" Juch asked.
YanToday at 2:31 PM
“It was nothing like that,” Yan offered with a snicker. “It’s not magic. This is just me being paranoid, or hopeful, or I’m picking up certain small involuntary cues to stimulate a ‘gut feeling’,” he explained.
“Her background is as perfect as say Daji’s. He was created by a crazy demon to fall in love with Hayami, under that influence he wanted to do good. He killed people due to her paranoia and I ripped him a new one which altered his course greatly. He had one extremely important run in with some ninjas, etcetera, etcetera,” Yan continued, waving his hand at the end to mimic continued motion.
“Background and histories are supposed to make that kind of sense. Everything leads however chaotically to the present. I have zero reason to doubt hers. It makes perfect sense to who she is now,” he explained, before looking back to Juch. “And yet I do~”

"If you're talking about gut instinct, I would have to say that I don't trust backgrounds to a certain extent," Juch murmured as he crossed his arms, "I've met a few perfectly crafted ones, and they all turned out to be fake at one point or the other. It's very difficult to tell, honestly, but that was the way with opposing intelligence agents."
"So, did you two do anything together?"
YanToday at 6:37 PM
“You can’t say all,” Yan said with a mischievous smile. “Someone could be under our very noses right now that we don’t even suspect~ That’s how a truly perfect identity is supposed to be,” he said cheerfully, a laugh behind his smile. Juch asked about the mystery demon and he realize he had forgotten to answer his question on her name.
“She calls herself Kit these days,” Yan said with a pleased smile, back to the easily smitten by any remotely interesting mode. Lilim had soured him quite a bit that he hadn’t made such a face, but for sour you added sugar.
“She was a contender I had to hunt down, and then her condition for coming with me was that I assist her with another job once we got to hell.”
JuchToday at 6:42 PM
"Indeed, that is true," Juch smiled and nodded at Yan's assertion. It did hold water, after all, and the possibility of many spies that had yet to be purged still remained a distinct possibility, "Or it could be someone who already checked out in their background, only to have their allegiance change later on. It does happen as well."
"Kit is, of course, a name that I am not familiar with; nor do I expect to be. But it is better to have a name than just 'the girl', I suppose," the android continued, "What drew you to her besides her background then?"
YanToday at 6:49 PM
"Well I didn't think anything about the background when I first looked at it," Yan corrected absently. "Just a good enough look see to know who I was dealing with. It didn't matter who she was if she was a contender. You have to be a certain kind of person to be accepted as a contender, and I wasn't disappointed."
JuchToday at 8:40 PM
"Enlighten me then," Juch nodded, accepting the correction, "What sort of person do you need to be to become a contender then?"
YanToday at 8:45 PM
“You have to prove yourself to even be considered,” Yan said holding up his hand. “Strength, technique, fighting ability, special abilities,” he offered counting off on his fingers. “The tournament is more of a show than a test of power. The winner isn’t whats remembered, it’s the person that showcases their abilities the best, but you have to be able to hold you own. Can’t be all flash no bang.”
