Yan Cass VS Juch
"Indeed," Juch crossed his arms, thinking about the situation that Yan proposed, "You're right, it would be best suited for one on one. And you would want to stack as much in your favor as possible. Assassination would be the best way for it, catching the opponent off guard. The longer the fight drags out, it would become more difficult to maintain the advantage."
"But in the tournament, how did she do? Get a good enough ranking?"
YanToday at 10:11 PM
“She did really well. Got pretty far up the brackets and then lost to the guy who went on to get second place,” Yan said with an easy smile. “Her losing match was frustrating to watch,” he admitted, looking back to Juch. “You could see it in her eyes, she knew exactly what was coming, she just couldn’t physically keep up.”

"That's not bad at all," Juch nodded with a smile, chuckling to himself, "I could understand the frustration. But it sounded like that she kept going until the very end despite knowing what the outcome was going to be, yes?"
YanToday at 10:26 PM
“Well, she knew what was coming and if her opponent did, then she knew what he was going to do after that too~” Yan said with a grin. “She took her hits in ways that let her manage to counter the next attack. She mitigated as much damage as possible and tried to set things up big enough, but her opponent had just as much grit and still more speed~”

"Hm, interesting," the android could see such a scene unfold. In battles, the give and take seemed to be inevitable, and it was always a balancing act of how much damage one could dish out versus how much one could take. Of course, ideally it would end on the first move, but that was an assassination attempt, not a tournament duel.
"Do you think she could have done things differently that time that could have changed the outcome?"
YanToday at 10:37 PM
“Not really,” Yan said, tilting his head and looking up as he thought about it. “But I’m just a street fighter with excellent ki control and a penchant for flowing movement,” he said, looking back to Juch with a grin. “Strategy has never been my strong point in fighting. I have good instincts and sometimes I’m inspired mid-battle for something devious, but as onlooker...” He shrugged. “I can’t completely grasp what she could actually do without possessing her body...” he noted tapping his lip at the thought.

"Sometimes there are circumstances in which there is no solution," Juch offered in response, puffing on his cigar, "At least in terms of problem solving, that's one more example that you have seen for fights. Even if you don't think in a certain way, all of that adds up to 'instinct'."
"But there was another job, after the tournament?"
YanToday at 10:51 PM
“I could probably tell you how I would have won, but it’d be working with an entirely different skill set even if I changed the measurements of my speed and strength,” Yan said, still seeming to be thinking about it. When Juch changed the subject he effortlessly pulled out of it and looked back to the android.
“With Kit?” he asked for confirmation. “No, that was before. She wouldn’t participate without the condition being met.”
