Melody's face fell to that of a neutral expression.
The schoolgirl had been walking about in the streets of North City, struggling to get acclimated to the environment she had been pushed into. After all, she had never really been on Earth before, and with Elena going off to meet another one of her friends, Melody felt like she owed it to herself to learn. Not that she felt forced by social stigma, but rather that it was best to get her own lay of the land before she simply got herself lost at all times.
It was just a requirement that she learn about Earth culture, right? She had hoped that, but.. there was also no telling who she was going to meet. Being a natural mute, it was hard to communicate with people who had little patience.
Yet her delicate feet carried her through the sidewalks of the concrete jungle, eyes carefully scanning around to see who might be.. a bit more interesting. Her master had told her to keep an eye out for warriors who might be good for the cause he was trying to build up. Maybe the humans wouldn't have much to offer, but from what she was told, Earth was a hotbed for the unique.
So who'd come up to the plate?

Life support failed entirely an hour or so ago. The air thinned and consciousness drifted away as the ship started getting pulled into Earth's gravity. Kalabasch and navigated himself just close enough to get to his destination, but he was in no shape to control the ship to a proper landing. It was now up to the hull of the ship to withstand the flames and impact.
The next thing the hybrid was aware of was the sirens and increased air quality despite flames starting to pop up. The ship was done for, but he must have made it to Earth. He coughed as his lungs started filling with oxygen. With what strength, he regained, he ran out of one of the holes in the hulls and got himself to a nearby tree.
He panted and gasped for air as his vision blurred. He was running on fear and instinct as he scanned the distance to see if this planet had any incoming threats. Every bit of strength would focus on survival not wanting to die after limping along in a broken spaceship for so long before this.

Her eyes had been looking about at society as a whole, but her ears were immediately assaulted by the sounds of an explosive impact. Off of the outskirts of North City, it had damn near sounded like an entire detonation went off. She found fear filling her features as she began to run toward the source of the noise. While many fled, not wanting to get caught up in something they either didn't understand or didn't want to be involved in, Melody wanted to get to the scene as soon as she possibly could. More than anyone, she understood the concept of 'alien'.
Who was this.. and why?
She made her way to the small crater that was formed by the ship. A pile of metal, burning to the core, and a faint energy signature lying nearby. No. Was she too late? Her eyes darted about once more, only to lock onto a creature. He had a deep brown mane that flourished upon his head, but it did little to take from his other features. He seemed.. frail. Not in the sense of being weak, but as if his former body had been drained. As if he were a shadow of his former self. Melody quickly raced her way over, the bluenette pressing a hand against the hybrid's chest as she gazed at him. She wrote in front of his face with a finger, forming words he could possibly read.
'Are you okay?'

As soon as he was touched, his fight or flight triggered in his brain. Kalabasch threw a few weak punches in Melody’s direction. He felt threatened and decided to not go quietly. Perhaps it was his Saiyan nature driving him to be aggressive in what he thought might be his last moments. “I didn’t survive this long just to die on a livable planet,” he said as he slowly got up and took a fighting stance.
As he got to his feet, the first thing he tried was to form ki blasts. The energy flickered in and out rapidly before finally producing a solid yellow glow to them. Internally, he felt a bit of a relief as he confirmed he still had some abilities left in his frail body. It was still a far cry away from rivaling even Saiyan elites that attempted to track him down and detain him in the past .For now, he was only hoping for good enough and this planet wasn’t suppose to have anyone even able to use anything beyond basic ki blasts from what the computer told him.
Kalabasch threw the ki blast before moving behind the tree. He looked for if there was a place to run and only found clear fields for much longer than he’d like. He turned back to face the girl, wiping away some of his blue blood from his face and getting ready for whatever would come next.

A gasp left the bluenette's lips as punches came in her direction, but.. they were sluggish. Weighed down by injury and famine, more than likely. She caught the attacks, only to take a moment to stand aside and let him get his bearings. She brought a hand up to her chin, inquisitive internally about what was going on. Why was this man here, why did his ship crash.. where did he even come from in the first place? He was firing off energy blasts to try and get a bearing for his attacking prowess, and yet Melody felt like this was only a shred of what he could do.
She drew in the air yet again to try and convey something to him.
'Are you hungry?' As the words came to his view, she clapped her hands together, a bright emerald aura shimmering around the both of them. Whether the hybrid would consent or not, he'd feel a gentle energy licking at his wounds. A rejuvenative aura that could possibly help the man stay on his feet just a bit longer. 'I hear Earth cuisine is delicious. Join me for some?' A simple request.

The healing aura practically blinded Kalabasch as his eyes still were primarily adjusted to the void of space. Before he knew it, his wounds started to close, and his vitals started bouncing back to what he had come to consider normal. As he looked at the girl again, shocked that he would find someone with such a strange and useful power, let alone one that would help a stranger.
The hybrid was about to question who or what she was, but it was cut off when her offer mentioned food. He had not had a proper meal in longer than he could remember, often landing on a barely habited planet, scavenging and storing whatever he could before moving on in hopes of finding something better on the next cycle. “Cuisine… I haven’t even thought about food for the longest time. Fine, I’ll humor you as thanks for… whatever that was,” he said in a bit of a tired and defeated tone.
Realizing that he had not once uttered his name, let alone apologize for his previous outburst, he spoke up. “I’m Kalabasch, I guess I owe you my name at least.”
