Lord Beerus had been in and out of the Astral Realm a good amount recently. It wasn’t anything major that was going on, but he was kind of bored waiting for Whis to finish up whatever he was doing. It was normally the other way around and Whis would have to do whatever the God of Destruction wanted, but the Angel seemed to think this was important and so he was just going to play it off and enjoy a little vacation. It wasn’t like he had anything else pressing after going through with the destruction of many planets in just 12 days. His event had worked to get his name out and he was good with being lazy now.
As he shifted into the Astral Realm this time around, he was looking simply for something to take some time. The naps he took when not in his slumber state made it just a time for him to get away from the real world and maybe enjoy some relaxing time or meet some interesting people. He was ok with either of those options and even occasionally liked the bold that dared to challenge him to a sparing match. It was all dependent on his mood and right now the God of Destruction simply didn’t seem to care.
He popped into the Astral Realm standing atop a large hill that was lush with green grass. Other similar hills were around and between them all was a rolling river. He looked around as the sun creeped in and out from clouds realizing he was standing on the highest of these hills. He saw another hill was full of tall trees and the third small bushes. It was strange how they all had such unique looks. Lord Beerus walked to the edge of the hill now looking down to the water to see just how far he thought the drop might be. He smiled thinking it could make for a fun dive, but he had to see what the other that was likely to show up wanted to do. For now, the deity just wanted something to do.

Levana
Ever since she had returned to Kelioux and had taken up her old classes and research again, she had also taken up other old habits again, like visiting the astral realm.
It was something she usually did when having some spare time when being alone in her apartments. She didn’t have any particular goal in mind for the little trips, besides keeping herself busy and maybe offer a bit distraction from everyday life. She did not look for someone particular, she also didn’t bother to create a realm herself. Levana just let her mind wonder off and let the cosmic energies guide her. Maybe she would meet and old friend or acquaintance again, maybe she would meet someone new.
This time, when she opened her eyes again, she found herself standing on top of a mountain. All around her where bright green bushes which reached to her knees. Though she didn’t know this exact place, the vegetation reminded her of Earth. As she looked further around she noticed the two other mountains, one with high trees the other with only grassland and… Lord Beerus? Even though he was a good distance away from her, her feline eyes where sensitive enough to clearly recognize him. Though to be fair, even she would not be able to actually see him, she would still recognize his ki signature and overwhelming power that came with it.
She gave him a little nod and flew up in the air, toward the God of Destruction. She didn’t hurry over there, but took some time to enjoy the view of the landscape that passed by underneath her. A wide river meandered at the foot of the mountain.
Moments later she landed next to Beerus, close enough to have a conversation, not to close to invade his personal space of course.
“Long time no see,” she said with a small smile curled on her lips.

It wasn’t long in the realm before the other arrived. Lord Beerus paid the energy no attention as it arrived, simply continuing to look around was enough for him right now. He was ok with observing the scenery for a moment, but when the energy started to move, he slowly turned in its direction. It had been awhile since he felt this energy, but it was recognizable even from the distance and time away. Lord Beerus did enjoy seeing old acquaintances, especially those that were at least somewhat enjoyable to be around. If he remembered he didn’t actually hate this particular being.
When he turned to see Levana, as she finally got close enough to him, she greeted him with a general saying that people would say in a situation like this. Lord Beerus did find something uniquely fun about these kinds of conversations. He gave a slight grin that even though it wasn’t intended likely was rather sadistic looking before he replied, “Well hello to you as well. It has been awhile. What exactly have you been up to recently? Anything fun and unique that would make for an interesting story to share?” He did love hearing others stories.
He took a few steps to the side to allow her room to stand atop the hill with him. It was only a slight gesture, but one that showed he wasn’t going to be hostile. He really just wanted to learn something new or get a fun story from someone. That was truly his primary objective at this point in the Astral Realm.

It was a bit funny how laid back and friendly Beerus had always been towards her. Not something one might expect from a being with the title ‘God of Destruction’. She couldn’t deny that she was a little bit pleased with the fact that he recognized her as well from the few encounters they had in the astral realm. It would be very understandable that someone like him would not bother to remember an insignificant mortal like herself. Though insignificant hoped to change at some point, but there was still so much she had to learn about herself and the galaxy and it was a slow process of growth and self-development.
His greeting was then of course followed with also a very common question to be asked in situations like this. The smile on her face remained unchanged, but a ice cold feeling wrapped around her heart for only a micro second, before it faded again. She had gotten used to the questions by now, she had heard about the same dozens of time since she had returned to Kelioux.
“I’ve have just returned back to The Academy on Kelioux to continue my studies and research, after taking a sabbatical,” she replied honest, but brief. “Oh now, fun, unique and interesting huh? Let me see…” she laughed out load and the paused for a moment to think about it. What could be fun, unique and interesting enough to share with the God of Destruction? Well, there might be some things, but they were perhaps still too vague and abstract to really share. Not to mention she did not know Beerus all that well. Sure he was nice enough when they met, but it didn’t mean they were actually friends of course. She had absolutely no illusions, that if it ever came to it, that he would not hesitate for even a second to erase her from existence as well if necessary or as unfortunate lose. Sad, but true probably.
Would a little tea party in the astral realm with the Queen of Demons be interesting enough to share? She did mention some interesting things actually, “Nothing, you do know already, I’m sure,” she replied sheepish, before continuing in a more serious tone, “I met Lilim not that long ago. She told how she was looking for planets to build a new Empire for the millions of demons that had fled from Hell with her.” She let it hanging in the air between then as a little news fact. To be fair, there was not much more she could tell about that at that moment anyway.
She looked at Beerus for a long moment before returning the question, “What have you been up to? I heard about some more planets that got destroyed, but I must admit I haven’t been following the Galactic News much as of lately,” she added as a mild apology, in case he might be offended. Gods could be short-tempered sometimes.

It wasn’t everyday that he just wanted to listen to stories that people had. The God of Destruction was normally not the type to care about such things, but he found the more he came to this realm and the more conversations that he had the better his time spent in this place was. When mortals wanted to fight or something that normally was just a toy for him in which he rarely put much effort in. At least if he was having a conversation, he would have the ability to hopefully learn something new about the Universe or at the very least the person he was talking to. As someone who was to watch over the Universe that was certainly something that he felt was part of his job. He had to stay up to date.
She explained a little about what she had been doing and some about a meeting with the demon queen that she had. The releasing of so many demons was likely attached to the rifts to the next dimension that were formed. He thought about it for a moment trying to figure out if anything he could do about this or if it was related. The best course of action was obviously going to be to ask to get a real answer.
Still he needed to make real conversation and not just jump right to points of interest to him. That was part of being a conversationalist that he was working on, “Being up on your studies is clearly important. It is a good thing to know what is going on. When you say demons that escaped Hell with her do you know how that happened?”
Her last part of the conversation was a very interesting question as well. The God of Destruction smiled a little as he replied, “I don’t know if I made the news or not, but recently I spent 12 days catching up on planets that were overdue for divine judgement. I had 12 planets on the list to visit and ended up destroying 14 different worlds. I guess that means I have been rather busy in that regard, but I am on a little break before I get back to work.” Lord Beerus wasn’t really planning on doing anything, but it was always good to make sure he kept mortals on their feet.
