Tapion: Combat
Chaos: Combat

Though his opponent bit for the fake he was still able to put a block between Tapion's punches and his face. As calculating and studious a fighter as there ever was, the Konat knew immediately that he was dealing with both another skilled martial artist as well as an individual with far superior speed. Even as the man pressed his foot against the warrior's chest Tapion was moving with the kick, lessening the sting of the blow by flipping backwards.
"You are no slouch, Cosmic Emperor," he said politely before running towards his opponent and offering a smart round-house kick, aiming for the midriff.

Chaos smirked at the compliment and nodded his own approval at his enemy's skill. It was still early, but escaping even a simple push kick from the Cosmic Emperor without broken ribs was impressive.
Immediately Tapion pushed the attack and Chaos fell into a balanced, defensive posture.
His left arm caught the kick dead and a pale concussive wave ripped across the reddened landscape. The force buckled the ground around them in a neat semi-circle.
He pressed against the kicking leg and gained a yard of distance; just barely outside of his enemies kicking range but well within his swords reach.
The crimson blade glinted, catching the eldritch sunlight as it was thrust at Tapion's chest. At this distance it wouldnt be a fight ending strike but it was near enough that an inch or so could penetrate.

The emperor moved so quickly and with such fluidity that Tapion felt the sword point puncture his pectoral muscle before realizing his foot was being held fast. He clenched his teeth, wincing but not allowing any extreme show of pain. He clapped both hands together around the flats of the blade and used it as leverage to wrench his foot back before aiming a stiff straight kick at his opponent's shoulder.

Chaos' eyes widened with surprise. The bold warrior wisely took hold of the blade while it was knifed into his chest.
He yanked back violently and successfully tore the sword from Tapion's hands, but his desire to keep his weapon left him defenseless against the thunderous kick that slammed into his off shoulder.
He grunted against the strike but didnt resist the backwards slide that came with it.
The kick actually worked to his benefit by giving him even more distance to work with. He arrested his backwards momentum but rather than rush forward he came to a complete stop, aimed his empty hand like a gun, and fired a dark indigo beam of Ki right where his weapon had penetrated.

As his feet settled back to the ground Tapion took a step forward, hoping to close the newly created distance between the two warriors. Before he could proceed any further he was struck in the chest by a narrow energy beam that managed to find nearly the exact spot of the sword wound. This time he cried out in pain as the beam tore through his chest, cauterizing and stabilizing his bleeding but also leaving him with a one-inch diameter hole through his right lung.
Badly wounded, he fell to his hands and knees and coughed up a glob of blood that soaked quickly into the scarlet hillside. After a few moments he leaned back and settled onto his butt his head hanging backwards. "It seems I was fighting a little out of my weight class this time," he said, his eyes failing to focus on anything in particular in the sky overhead.

The lance of energy extended from his index finger through Tapion's chest. Wounded, the aggressive warrior was forced to take a seat on the red grass. Rivers of blood flowed from his chest, ebbing and flowing with every breath.
Chaos merely smiled.
"And you should never stop doing so. Remain hungry, remember every defeat, and go at every opponent as if he were a million times better than you. You fight well," he said as he approached. He extended a hand in respect and to assist him to his feet.

Though he could see the darkness creeping up on him in his peripheral vision the Cleric leveled his gaze back onto Chaos and raised an eyebrow. He appreciated the man's philosophy. With a smile he accepted the help up though pain arced across his body like lightning bolts. "I must say, your highness, that I have enjoyed this chance meeting. I look forward to the next - perhaps one day we may even cross paths outside of this dimension," Tapion said. He began to fade out of existence after waiting a moment for the Emperor's response.

Chaos watched the man fade from the astrael realm and he couldn't contain the smirk on his face as he was left alone in the astrael realm.
"Perhaps we will," he said to the empty world , intrigued by his short meeting with the warrior named Tapion.
