I would like to propose a couple of changes that are centered around henchmen.
Part 1: A New Passive (Henchman Mastery) The first part of my idea, is that a new passive is added, that allows all of your henchmen to be at a set percentage of their master, always.
Tier 1: All Henchmen stats are always at 50% of the Master's. Tier 2: All Henchmen stats are always at 60% of the Master's. Tier 3: All Henchmen stats are always at 70% of the Master's.
Part 2: Altering Changeling Racials -Subtract: May have 1 additional underling past the limit. -Add: Starts with Henchman Mastery 1. This does not take up a Passive Slot, unless leveled up to Tier 2.

I actually like this, I feel like henchman are in need of some kind of change because they just seem to fall off and people end up just not using them anymore

No to 70% no never. You ok with people in top 10 running around with always a 70% PL person near them?

No to 70% no never. You ok with people in top 10 running around with always a 70% PL person near them? UT already does that. Jk. Not joke. Tbh what if we did a flat 25% for all henchmen and made them not take a slot in battle (but have a maximum of 2 henchmen on any side). With two actions they wouldn't really be OP. Maybe make the taking up a slot thing optional (give them normal action rules if you opt to take up a full slot).

Jeice, I would say maybe 35% would be better... its still seems pretty low comparatively. I dont really know enough about the balance of battles to know if the not taking up a slot thing is powerful or not.

It's way more powerful than the difference in 25% and 50%.

Would something like this be appropriate then?
Henchman Master Tier 1: Henchmen's stats are always 30% of their masters. Tier 2: Henchmen's stats are always 35% of their masters, and you May have 1 additional underling past the limit. Tier 3: Henchmen's stats are always 40% of their masters, and Jeices Idea about taking up a slot/or not.
Would Jeices idea be more appropriate if officers or students were the only ones who could fit with Jeices idea?
Should this just be a generic change to Henchmen, and stop trying to fit it in as a passive?

I was thinking it would be nice if it were a generic change to henchmen. As it stands henchmen don't get used in battle because they take up a slot/invoke handicap actions.

So, Then Change henchmen to always be at 50% of their master. You can have up to 2 henchmen per side in battle. If they take up a slot, they get normal actions, if not they get a reduced action count.
Is that what were going for then?

50% of the top couple players is still like 1.5 Million PL. The thing about this is always having a constant scaling henchman is that it makes them really strong for the people that have already got them. While for others it makes them actually useful. I think henchman need to be changed, I just don't know how to go about it.

Well don't forget the cordyceps fungus item exists,, that could help a lot with these new ideas being made balanced.

The idea of scaling also benefits Evil much more than Good. Good get's Students. Evil Gets, Saibamen, Biomen, Underlings, Officers

Helping evil more than good seems like a moot argument. Whether you change henchmen or not they are both still in the same boat they are now. All of these proposed changes of of course apply to students as well.
As for Frieza’s point, filling a slot with an officer when you’re 3 mill PL is the last thing anyone would want to do. It is a slot that would be 10x more useful if filled by an ally. There is far more to worth than stats. For that matter, Hit can still pop a saibas an that is 33% of his current stats any time in battle. This concept is not new, it has applied to saibas and biomen forever. That’s why you only see saibas in battles and not officers.

I am still for the idea of henchman specific training/tournaments to make them at least fun to have. The static % of a master's PL does not seem beneficial in my opinion. Of course the long term players are gonna have a higher starting point as always, but with some good training they could be another tactic usable in battle, even if they do take a lot of work.
