Combat Rune! Trigger Happy Helix wasn't hard to find. News traveled fast among the Namekians these days, though how Jeice wasn't quite sure. As far as he had seen the poor fucks still refused to use even the simplest of technologies there were not of their own devise. However they did it, Guru managed to relay the breaking news back to the Dark Tower while there was still time to mount a response. Now, as both a man looking to prove his worth and the only Cosmic Empire affiliate with the time to deal with the threat, Jeice found himself en-route to the academy that had been mentioned in the report.
From high over-head he could see smoke billowing from a large version of the typical Namekian mud-hut. Mud didn't burn though, he knew - but bodies did. Jeice saw this revelation as more of a tactical consideration than anything else. He didn't care much about the students, anyways.
Less people in the way.
As he neared the target, the Zoteran slowed to a stop over the small collection of buildings. All but the largest had been razed to the ground. Dark smoldering piles of carrion littered the scene, filling the air with a wretched stench that would have burned his nostrils had they not long ago become accustomed to the smell. Though he couldn't see his mark, he knew the namekian was there. Whether Helix knew of his arrival or not, he didn't wait to find out.
Unlike most fighters, Jeice didn't subject himself to the rules and regulations of fair combat. When he fought, it wasn't for the thrill of the thing. To him it was life or death, or training, and in neither respect did he give any quarter. Where another man might announce his presence with a greeting the short-statured soldier opted for something louder and with far more deadly intent.
Opening his mouth wide, the Zoteran began to unleash a steady stream of energy blasts. Destruction rained down on the morbid locale below as he launched an apparently endless volley of energy. At a point he raised his hands upwards and began to send dozens of much smaller globs of a gel-like substance. The red-tinted goo threaded its way through his barrage, each piece homing in to disable his target. ----------------- Attacks Taken (Round): Important Notes: -1% Ki Cost all energy attacks | Earrings of Lucidity 14% Damage Reduction | Damaskian Armor IV +3% Energy Damage | Ki Gloves Crit: Slice | Serrated Dagger Ki Used: 1.4% Total Used: 1.4% | 0% [Pre/Post Power Up] Remaining: 98.6% DMG: 0% 1) Bag of Sensu Beans (3/4) 2) Meat Shield 3) Chocolate Bar 4) Demon Horn 5) Vial of Poison 6) SB54 Penalty Flag 7) Stun Grenade 8) Stasis Grenade

Another assault was going as planned. The desolation of the training grounds was rather easy and since Guru had the Namekian people standing down for aid it only let Helix have more reign at slaughtering those that couldn’t yet properly defend themselves. His blade enjoyed each and every cut of the weak Namekian flesh and he knew the more he killed the more powerful he would become.
Helix felt another coming his way even through the murder though. He couldn’t tell exactly who it was, but it was a power he didn’t know and it didn’t feel holier than thou like most Namekians felt. This was a darker energy that seemed bent on killing him just as he would be on killing it. Was it possible this was an actual bounty hunter that was actually coming for his life? That would make this all the more exciting for him. He didn’t ready himself right away finishing off the students around him even as he felt the hunter arrive. He stabbed the crimson blade down into the flesh of the student just before the onslaught began.
He turned around just in time for the first barrage to come down on him. Not knowing much about his foe just yet, it was best to protect from these attacks in his mind. He shifted position of the blade and suddenly a dark barrier of energy radiated around him consuming a massive amount of the raw power that was being thrown at him. The pain was real and that meant this foe was real too. A slight smile came across his face as he sat under the barrier still feeling the assault from the start.
As soon as the first one started, he looked up only to see another barrage coming at him. This time he turned the blade flicking a wave into the air as it sent a reverberation around him and sent the attacks crashing into the ground and not around him. This guy was for real and he knew it right away.
He was going to be in need of proper status for this battle. Like that he summoned forth a drink and consumed it through the smoke cloud that had formed from the barrage. The barrier was gone, the smoke was all that was left right now. He wanted to use that for his benefit.
I want to consume this ones blood. He heard the blade call out to him just before the betrayer went on the offensive.
His left arm extended quickly as the debris settled looking to simply smash itself into the Hunter as a lead in to his attack. Since this man wanted to fight in the sky, he knew he would have to join him and just like that he bolted into the sky. Helix was ready to satisfy the need of the crimson blade. The first attack was a simple thrust towards the body to test his opponent. As Helix saw what his opponent would do he would keep up his flight for now to push the pace and continue his assault.
This time he was looking for something more. It was a combination strike the first one a slash downwards aiming to cut from the chin down to the hip and then the second a twirl around looking to slash from one shoulder blade to the other and form a cross directly across the red man’s chest.
Helix finished his attack calmly and then landed on the ground taking a little time at the start of a battle to adjust his feet and his grip on the blade into a full stance. He then spoke, ”Real competition makes me happy. I’d love to see more of what you can do.”

Sell It As his assault wound down Jeice's eyes surveyed the scene looking for signs of movement. He was far too smart to think that attack had been enough to finish the namekian off. At best he expected that Helix would come out of things with both an appreciation for his raw power and a misconception of his fighting style. If the Zoteran had encountered a heavy-blaster type he'd lead his opponent in by pretending the strategy was effective.
And he'd be spent before he caught on. A la Clubber Lang...
On the other hand, if Helix didn't show that sort of calculative talent, he'd also have learned something of use himself. One way or the other, he expected the namekian to play into his hands.
A shadow in the smoke caught Jeice's eye. It betrayed his foe's location. With plenty of time to act he dropped several feet, enough to move his less-than-admirable height out of harm's way. Apparently anticipating this Helix shot out of cover with his sword already in hand.
Just as the report suggested.
In preparation for the hit Jeice had trained with Burter, demanding that the Na'Vadian use his spear so that he would be well-practiced in weapon based combat. With a fluidity that only hundreds of repetitions could conjure the soldier rotated away from the namekian's sword point before back-stepping twice. The last swipe lopped off a few strands of hair right before his face.
From much closer range than before Jeice repeated his previous tactic, selling his act fiercely. Three energy blasts spilled rapid-fire from his opened jaw while more red-colored slime globs grew from each fingertip on his two outstretched hands, all aimed for Helix's exposed middle-section. ----------------- Attacks Taken (Round): N/A Important Notes: -1% Ki Cost all energy attacks | Earrings of Lucidity 14% Damage Reduction | Damaskian Armor IV +3% Energy Damage | Ki Gloves Crit: Slice | Serrated Dagger Ki Used: 3.8% Remaining: 94.8% DMG: 0% 1) Bag of Sensu Beans (3/4) 2) Meat Shield 3) Chocolate Bar 4) Demon Horn 5) Vial of Poison 6) SB54 Penalty Flag 7) Stun Grenade 8) Stasis Grenade

Damn he was fast. Maybe the Namekian was just predictable, maybe he was slow, maybe this guy was faster than his power should have made him or maybe all of these things were the case, but he didn’t expect to be left swiping at a blur over and over again with his strikes. It was somewhat frustrating and yet he knew he had a few tricks on handling this particular problem. He didn’t know exactly how it was going to go, but he knew he was going to find a way. The sword demanded that he do so.
I demand his blood.
His opponent didn’t even answer him as he just continued his assault with similar barrages aimed to break him down right away. He covered up from the first shielding himself from the assault and then came another spew of energy. He wanted to stay on the offensive a little bit and the best way he knew to do that was to get off defense. That was the basics of all competition in his mind. He had grown to be more and more aggressive as the blade gained more influence over him.A flick of his wrist again since the blade forward and the force sent the barrage crashing almost like an instant replay to his side.
I’ll give you more power if that is what you need.
The Betrayer glared at the red hunter now and turned the blade slightly to the side as the dark crimson glow suddenly ignited into flames. He then pounced off the ground with both hands gripped tightly on the sword. He slashed once, then again and finally a third time in rapid succession as he looked to finally allow his blade to taste the blood of this warrior. That is what it wanted and so that is exactly what Helix was going to give it. The Triple Strike technique was one of his most important weapon techniques and it was now the test he was giving the hunter.
As the assault finished, he didn’t fly to stay in the air. Instead he landed calmly amongst one of the craters the barrage of energy had created already. He wanted to see if this man would keep firing from the sky or finally come and meet him on the ground. Helix had figured his opponent wanted to utilize his incredible speed in the air, but it was hard to tell if he was going to continue with that tactic long. For now, the Namekian would wait and see what was coming next. He still had no idea what to think about this attacker.

Sell It After proving himself to be surprisingly adept on the defensive Helix turned the tables on the Zoteran, striking rapidly with a blade of angry flame. The first time the sword came his way Jeice managed to lean away, avoiding its hungry edge. The Namekian attacked with such an unexpected ferocity though that Jeice managed only to guide the razor edge with the palm of his hand, receiving a nasty cut in the process. Finally he struck a series blow, slicing through the soldier's upper arm before retreating the the ground where Jeice's speed would not be such a superiority.
As Jeice himself lowered towards Namek's surface he glanced at his two new wounds. Though they throbbed with pain the flames of Helix's sword had mercifully cauterized the wounds. He released a rush of air, relieved that the stress of bleeding out wouldn't be in the back of his mind as the fight continued.
With his feet settled firmly on the ground Jeice eyed his opponent. The namekian had already shown himself a capable fighter. "Keep it up and you might earn the right to know the name of the man that is going to kill you, Helix," he called out as his feet slid apart and his hands went to his sides. Positioning himself like an Old West gunslinger he held his position for a few tantalizing seconds before 'drawing' with lightning speed. Aiming two finger-guns at his target's chest he fire.
Bang. Bang.
--- Somewhere on Namek ---
"I'm going to find him and I'm going to finish this once and for all," Mika said to himself as he set out from his village. He was a warrior, known among his people for his exceptional strength. He'd been off of the world for several years after setting out to train with the Guardian of Earth and his assistant, Mr. Popo. Upon returning though, he learned of the evil that was Helix and how the older Namekian had also returned home a wanted man, hiding on their backwater planet while terrorizing his kind. Immediately he'd set out to find Helix and put an end to his reign of terror. ----------------- Attacks Taken (Round): Blocked 1/3 Triple Strike (DR: 4) [10% Damage Reduction] 100% 1/3 Triple Strike (DR: 4) [10% Damage Reduction] Important Notes: -1% Ki Cost all energy attacks | Earrings of Lucidity 14% Damage Reduction | Damaskian Armor IV +3% Energy Damage | Ki Gloves Crit: Slice | Serrated Dagger Ki Used: 2.6% Remaining: 92.2% DMG: 0% 1) Bag of Sensu Beans (3/4) 2) Meat Shield 3) Chocolate Bar 4) Demon Horn 5) Vial of Poison 6) SB54 Penalty Flag 7) Stun Grenade 8) Stasis Grenade

Helix actively was trying to figure out this opponent’s strategy in this encounter. He was clearly blessed with the ability to make basic techs even more dangerous than most would be able to, but he didn’t really show much so far. He was making simple things look easy and that was impressive enough to the Namekian that he was going to try to test his adversary now.
It was as he planned his next assault that a slight greeting was offered. Well at least words that seemed to indicate he had no intention of sharing his identity just yet, but he did offer that he was going to share the name of the person that was going to kill him. Shortly after he fired two finger gun blasts at him. Helix smiled as the blasts came at him taking them both head on. It didn’t feel good, but he was tired of dealing with trash.
”Is all you came here to maybe share who is going to kill me?” He snarked at the idea that the red man was going to kill him, ”I’m assuming it is a friend because it clearly isn’t you!” His energy grew before he darted towards the bounty hunter ready to lash out both figuratively and metaphorically.
His speed picked up and he whipped his arm around causing a string of energy to head towards the hunter as it looked to lasso him up before tightening and exploding on contact. Trying to keep the distance close he pushed on towards the red man once more. This time he released an explosion of energy around him that radiated outwards as it surrounded him and tried to break down the body of his target.
The nova was likely going to push him away or send him away and that was exactly what he was hoping for. He focused his mind on the amulet around his neck before he bolted towards his attacker now trying to simply ram his fist right into and hopefully through his body. He didn’t know how strong this man truly was just yet, but he truly did want to find out.

One. Taking his attacks head on - an act of pure bravado that brought a soft grin to Jeice's face - Helix finally let down the flood gates and began the 'real' battle, rushing forward while tossing out a rope of energy. Though the Namekian people were not powerful as a whole, they were eager to rebel and did so often. Having been tasked with putting down such insurgencies often, Jeice had seen this very technique in action before.
Even as Helix chased him Jeice stayed his distance, raising his arm towards the rapidly approaching energy rope that snaked towards him through the air. A red glow emanated from his palm, the tell-tale sign of his signature attack - the Crusher Ball. "Ha!" the Zoteran yelled, sending the orb away from him. It bore down on the incoming missile. Attracted by the heat of the blast the rope wrapped tightly around the red orb, squeezing it much like a boa-constrictor before both exploded in a brilliant flash of light.
Continuing his dogged pursuit, Helix collected energy around his body and then released it in a controlled explosion that made its way outwards from the Namekian's body. As the concussive wave reached him the energy that gave it strength was eaten by the Zoteran's aura, leaving him unharmed.
Still undeterred, Jeice's target threw his body forward, aiming to spear him straight through with an extended fist. Perhaps in less of a kerfuffle than the Namekian had expected, Jeice found the attempt boring and desperate. He sped up until their respective speeds were evenly matched before spiraling away to the side and allowing his mark to pass by harmlessly.
As the Namekian's body flew past Jeice yanked a yellow handkerchief from his belt and slapped it against Helix's waist. A chemical soaked into the rag responded to a small amount of ki released from the soldier's hand to produce a sticky mess that held the rag fast against Helix's armor. Try as he might, it was unlikely the namekian would be able to remove it as it would immediately begin to bond to whatever it touched.
With his opponent speeding away by proxy of his own impressive momentum Jeice raised his arms. Bolts of electricity raced from his torso down his arms. The collection of energies consummated into a powerful blast of purple energy that followed closely at Helix's heels.

It was interesting to fight a warrior that was like the red man. Helix could tell right away that he was much more prepared for this battle than others that had come at the Namekian, but he was also not fully aware of what the Betrayer could do. Helix truly didn’t even know what all he could do, but he was going to have a great time trying to figure that out.
The strange yellow flag that struck him was hard to tell the point and it was almost as if the hunter was not taking this seriously. That infuriated the Namekian and the blade he held felt that rage. It was time to get to work. Just as his opponent had utilized a negating technique, Helix knew he could do the same and candidly, he knew he could do it better. He copied the actions of his opponent as he gathered himself. As he released the burst of his own energy to match the burst of energy seemed to find a way to perfectly strike against the blasts coming at him and even breakthrough in order to bolt towards the hunter.
”Let’s get serious, shall we!” The Namekian said before a dark crimson aura expanded around him as his power magnified. He wanted to make this fight at least a test and he was hoping now that this man could actually push him a little bit.
He turned to strike once more flying in the same way he was before and then suddenly he flickered out as his speed increased and he tried to drive his fist once again into the chest of the red skinned hunter. He didn’t know how the attack would be dealt with, but the key was simply to get close and even if his opponent fled from the attack he would push on until he got in position for his next assault.
Holding his hand out as he got close an invisible field of ki flickered out before visibly manifesting itself around his attacker. If things went according to plan, he would smash the ball around with strikes first an upwards kick sending it into the air, then a driving dropkick to send it back to the ground. He would lash out once more to the back striking into the spine before finally smashing the ball downwards with a double fisted strike. All of this was pending his opponent not avoiding the ball the begin with, but if he did when the ball finally struck down to the surface it would end in a glorious explosion.

Two. Just as Jeice had anticipated, Helix took nothing laying down. The namekian rolled in midair and sent his own, more powerful energy blast hurtling towards him. The more dense collection, it met his attack and blew straight through it on a collision course for the Zoteran. He responded by tapping a button on the small panel he wore at his wrist. A shield of light flashed into life just in time to receive the incoming energy, absorbing it and using the absorbed power to morph into a coat of flames that surrounded his body.
Offering to turn things up a notch, the namekian unleashed his latent power at last. Deftly taping his wrist-device again, Jeice injected himself with the powerful Beast Serum. Though the full transformation would not be instant, the power boost that came with it was. As Helix charged towards him the Zoteran activated the tag he'd attached. The ensuing explosion gave him the window he needed to easily dodge out of the way of his opponent's rush.
Somehow, despite his careful considerations, he made a miscalculation. Perhaps mistakingly thinking the tag explosion would buy him more time, Jeice found himself trapped inside of a cage of his opponent's creation. Sadistically toying with him, Helix kicked the cage around before slamming it into the ground where it exploded magnificently. Though he was shielded to a small degree by the flames that coated his body he was not without injury.
Hurt but quick to recover, Jeice was back on his feet. Already his body had begun to change drastically, growing enormously as his muscle-mass tripled and his bones lengthened until he stood taller even than Helix. "You wanted to get serious? Let's get serious!" the Beast roared.
With his body still undergoing change he threw himself into the air with his arms held tight against his chest. Reaching Helix, he straightened his arms out so that his now volleyball sized fists could meet the namekian's gut. He spared his target no quarter, driving his body forward with as much force as it could muster.
Passing through Helix's torso, missing him entirely, or simply pushing him out of the way, Jeice turned in midair and pulled the gun slung over his shoulders with surprising dexterity for his size. With one hand he raised the barrel towards his opponent's chest and with the other, held aloft, he formed two parallel discs of energy.
"Jeice will destroy you!" he yelled into the air, his previous eloquence forgotten. Though he had learned to control it exceptionally well, there was no question that the Beast and Jeice were not exactly one-and-the-same. Deep maniacal laughter filled the air as he threw the discs forward. Cutting through the din were two resounding barks as he pulled the trigger on his weapon.

He didn’t know what to think about his opponent, but as he dealt with all that was being done to him the Namekian realized shit was about to get real. He saw something inject into the blood of his opponent and then sensed his energy growing. That was all the concern he needed to have now. The sword still gripped in his hands felt it too and suddenly the crimson aura of the blade overtook him.
The gooey substance exploded almost as the aura flared up (OOC: or maybe after who really knows how this shit works) and he felt slowed down almost immediately. The slowing down hurt him in more ways than 1 as immediately the now buffed up Alien came at him as he looked to return the body breaking dragon dive attack. Helix put his arms out to protect his body, but the force still sent him backwards as the flames toasted his body a little more. The grimace was only for a moment as he didn’t have time to think about being hurt.
Still the Namekian had an unwavering faith in the sword he carried and that it would protect him with this aura even as the attacks came coming and the beast seemed to be more monstrous than ever that he was fighting. He still wasn’t going to let the blade down. It would taste his blood, bathe in it and he would smile at the power it gave him.
As the smoke cleared, his own blood dripped from the wounds the serious of explosions had caused and pain filled his body he came out with a bright and sinister smile, ”You are at least fun.”
Just as he said that he thrusted his right hand forward looking to create another ball of invisible energy to capture the red man before immediately releasing a shockwave of explosive ki bursts that were meant to simply crash into the Alien and send him away and break him under his might. He had seen the man escape situations over and over again so this would likely be no different. For now, he just wanted to see how far he could actually push him and who would break first. The Namekian could tell he was getting tired, but he wasn’t completely sure about his opponent just yet.

Three. Though each of his attacks found purchase against the Namekian's body, Jeice couldn't help but notice that Helix was in far better condition then he should have been. Concluding that he must have had some kind of invisible energy barrier the Zoteran set his sights on hammering his opponent again.
Even if everything hurts half as much, he can only take so much.
Even as the namekian sent another entrapment ball towards him the Beast was on the move. With an animalistic growl and a massive paw-like hand he slapped the energy cage away from the battlefield. Like a linebacker blowing through a block he trucked straight through Helix's desperate shockwave, holding his hands to his head as he did so.
"Now come to me! Solar Flare!" he roared out, his words punctuated with a bright burst of light. With both massive sinewy arms held out wide he formed a razor-thin energy disk parallel with his body in either palm. Resembling a TIE fighter for a moment, he rotated in mid air and let both disks, one red and one blue, fly. The larger blue disk flew straight for Helix while the smaller rode the wind upwards before diving in at a sharp angle.
Timing himself to arrive just after the red disk he lowered his shoulder and aimed to truck his opponent again, using his immense mass and momentum to his advantage. With his gun held in his left hand and tucked in tight under his right arm he pulled the trigger. With a loud echoing retort the high-tech gun issued a supercharged slug at rail-gun speeds.

Jeice has Taken: 11.5% Damage, Vitality Lost: 2,362
1. Really the only thing of note is the regeneration on the Destructo Disc part.
Things were not going his way. Everything he did to his opponent was negated and no matter what he did he couldn’t get himself back on the offensive. That was certainly going to be a bad part of this encounter for him. As he went to continue his assault this time, he ran right into the solar flare attack. It was foolish to not even try to protect his eyes, but the Namekian had made that mistake and was now in a likely dire situation. With the aggressive nature of his opponent he knew that the only way this was going to continue was with a great deal of pain.
He couldn’t see, but that was only the first part of his problem. His mind tried to focus, but the calls of the blade were aching as well. He hadn’t kept it saturated with the blood of his enemy and now it was just constantly calling to him. He had to silence it as the voice continued to echo more and more in his mind because he felt his opponents power growing. It was probably lucky that he couldn’t actually see what was going on as the illusionary tactic wasn’t nearly as effective against the blind. His mind told him where the energy was and he tried to teleport out of the way just a few feet to the left, but not enough as the disc sliced his arm right off.
Instinctively, he shouted and pushed the energy to his arm causing it almost immediately grow back, but it kept him from being ready for what was to come. He didn’t know what was coming at him, but he knew it was a great deal of energy once again. He braced himself trying to identify the signature. The first he recognized of the technique of a long since past Namekian. He popped up a barrier to protect against that, knowing his opponent had combined this already with his gun and the diving ability. He hardened his body to resist another attempt at a dive like that, but as it hit the pain still radiated over his body. Not from the force, but from the flames that now caught him on fire.
A sliced-up arm he could deal with, flames burnt, but he could handle it, the blindness was still crippling though. He couldn’t see and as the gun fired, he felt it impact the barrier he had put up directly. The barrier faded away at impact and his body was sent back. He had no more bravado for now as he needed to get his eyes functioning and quickly otherwise this battle was going to be over before he knew it. It wasn’t like he could really keep standing directly in front of these attacks and hope to win.

Three II... With his opponent clearly on the run, Jeice knew that at last he'd gotten the Namekian exactly where he wanted him. He'd prepared well for the hit, but Helix had definitely, up to this point, put up a fight worthy of someone so feared among his people. Most warriors might have eased up, finishing Helix off without smearing his face in it. Jeice was different - he didn't fight for respect, or honor, and he didn't show appreciation for it either. There was simply a winner and a loser, and today he was not going to be the loser.
"I'm finishing this now," he called to Helix. Though it might come across as one, he meant the simple declaration to be a statement of fact rather than threat.
Bringing his gun to bear once again Jeice pressed a button on the bottom of the weapon's barrel. With a puff of smoke a small device flew towards Helix. With a powerful electrical charge, he would find his movement severely hampered - a dangerous position to be in with what Jeice had planned. Before acting further the Zoteran fired his gun twice more though he could tell with the latter shot that it's power cell must have been running low on energy.
Fortunately, I'm not.
Sliding his weapon into the holster on his back the soldier dashed towards Helix. His arms became a blurred mass, though he suspected his opponent would be too blinded to see him anyways. Aiming for calculated devastation, Jeice struck for the Namekian's vital areas. He'd studied their anatomy in preparation for his hunting trip and finally the opening he'd been waiting for had revealed itself. He jabbed Helix dozens of times, each two-finger stab delivered with the utmost precision.
With a hard push backwards Jeice unleashed another rapid fire barrage of energy blasts from his mouth before sliding to a stop with both arms held out straight. He sang the words that accompanied his signature technique, the Crusher Ball, in his head rather than give Helix more warning than necessary as he fired two more red energy blasts from his hands.

The battle had turned from him rather quickly. This is the moment many would have questioned what they had done and learned from it in order to try to get better in the future. Helix wasn’t that type. His mind was completely gone to the blade and as the power within the sword consumed him more and more he was almost completely without his own mind. He was just a zealot working at the whim of the corrupted sword.
He felt the pull against his body as he seemed trapped in place once more. It didn’t bother him as in that moment the dark energy grew from the blade. He was no longer Helix, but he was a different monster all together. His growl at the grenade exploding showed the nearly black levels of darkness blood in his mouth. His body was giving up on him. The words fell on deaf ears as the blade completely consumed him now.
I am taking over now. It echoed in his head and as the gun powered up to fire the remains of Helix’s mind was gone.
The first bolt from the gun went right at the Namekian and then suddenly through him as he faded away in that exact moment before impact. He was seen almost immediately a few feet to the right as the energy gun fired once more. Helix was trying to create distance running backwards, but as the bolt got to him once again, he was elsewhere. This time right behind Jeice as the second after image seemed to consume the second shot.
When his opponent went for the next and likely final pinpoint strike he amazingly phased away again. This time in a way likely known by his opponent, but the instantaneous movement kept him once again from being finished off in that precise moment. No words, no taunts, no bragging followed as might have been normal for Helix though. The blade had put its wielder in pure survival mode.
As Helix naturally turned back to where his opponent had been according to his senses the next barrage of attacks came out. The blade movement pulled his arms up naturally as it looked to consume the barrage into itself and reenergize the struggling Namekian at least a little.
He didn’t know what else was going on. At this point he was just allowing the blade to control his actions. In this moment he also needed every last gift his precious sword would give him. With the last attack charging in on him he braced for impact feeling the energy and then suddenly the magical field of the dark blade expanded and the attack was changed into a flaming shield around his body. He wasn’t completely dead yet. But he did hope that he would get to see eventually.
That is when he heard the blade in his mind much clearer now, ”You should have covered your eyes.”

Three III... With his opponent back-pedalling away everything he threw at him the Beast in Jeice began to grow angry. He was ready to be done with the Namekian - ready to accept the reward for his bounty and to move on to bigger prey in the name of the Cosmic Empire. Ridding the planet of the pest before him was little more than an afterthought as he pulled his gun and fired a final round at his opponent's forehead.
Lost in his temper he tried to pull the trigger again to end his target but received only a click in response. The battery cell was dead. "Die!" he roared, tossing the gun aside and releasing a flurry of energy blasts from his mouth. Even as he unleashed his attack the thought that Helix might try and dodge him again only further fueled his rage.
"Hold still, Helix," the Beast called, pressing a button on his wristband. A small turret popped out of the shoulder of his armor and buzzed for a moment before firing an energy-charged net to finally trap the suddenly elusive Namekian in place. Spreading both arms wide he gathered a large portion of his remaining energy for a definitive blow
As his well of energy reached its zenith he smiled, his elongated canines painting an intimidating imagine. His arms flew forward and began to pump like twin pistons, each rotation accompanied with a powerful energy blast aimed for Helix's location. The air hummed as hundreds of energy blasts filled it each thrown with deadly intent.
