The struggle for the Namekian was real. He wasn’t even truly worried about the outcome of the battle anymore. If he won, then he would have proven his might and failure meant just death. That was all understood, but the real struggle was in his mind. The blade had sensed his moment of need and in that moment taken control. Helix knew the power the blade gave him was part of the reward, but never before had he felt the raw torment of the demon blade in his hand as it pulled at his very essence.
If his mind would have allowed him to, he would have screamed with the inner turmoil he was under. He couldn’t though and as the gun was pushed close to his head this time, he simple lifted the blade high in order to block the impact from crashing directly into his head. The force sent him back, but not far enough to give him time to react. Instead he felt the similar burst of energy coming at him like he had felt so many times before. He covered up more this time as right at the end his vision came back.
It was a miracle! Now his eyes would lead him or at least the demon blade controlling his body further and allow him a chance. Well he hoped he would have a chance…
The net came at him suddenly from a poke on a wristband. The Namekian smiled as he finally could see it, but his mind didn’t have the ability to force his idea in. The blade summoned forth the inner spirit of Namek and suddenly the betrayer erupted with a radiant burst of power that meant to keep his opponent away hopefully for a little longer.
He gripped the sword and darted in, trying to find an opening, but then another burst of energy blasts came right at him. He had little choice at this point and pushed his energy once more leaving a moving after image in his wake as he appeared moments later a few meters away. He wanted to attack, but the blade felt the energy was nearing its end. It sliced into his arm and suddenly a flow of demonic power went into his body. He needed the power and the sword would provide it. That was the hope at least here. For now he was just glad he could actually see again.

Finish Him. Though Jeice continued to come at his opponent with relentless determination the namekian continued with his surprisingly elusiveness. An explosion of energy from Helix, intended to create space, did little more than fuel his anger. A gem set into the center of his armor glowed as it absorbed the energy cloud.
"Would you just die already?!" the Beast roared. The energy he'd captured exploded outwards as he pursued Helix further. Opening his mouth wide he unleashed his greatest energy barrage yet. All sense of tactic abandoned as the Beast Serum clouded his judgment further, Jeice could think of little more than finishing the pest before him.
Despite his overwhelming strength and speed and the amount of energy he'd poured into finishing off Helix the Namekian continued to hang on somehow. It was impressive, even if futile. Under different circumstances Jeice might have seen value in trying to talk him into joining the Zoteran's crew. He was a silver-tongued devil when the situation called for it, after all. Unfortunately for his target, he had his orders and the chance to impress himself upon the Cosmic Empire was too great to pass up. The Namekians wanted this scourge vanquished and he would see it done.

He was somehow holding on. It was hard to tell the real reason how at this point, but the Namekian seemed to have a strange ability to just hang on. Right now, that is exactly what it felt like he was doing and that was almost it.
Being completely on the defensive was not where he wanted to be in any fight, but certainly not against an attacker as aggressive as this one. His attacks seemed to be failing one after another and it was clear now that the Namekian powers were not going win him this battle. He was already being fueled by the power of the sword and now he was willing to just give in and let it run this battle from here on out.
He swung his arm up smacking away his returned attack in a simple wave of his arm. Helix seemed to be almost reacting in strange movements now that seemed almost awkward to see. Another barrier grew from around the sword expanding the crimson aura around him and as the barrage of blasts once again rained down from the sky he sat under the protection until it faded and then the last one struck him directly. Normally he would have gritted in pain and while it existed in that fleeting moment the bean finally kicked in, even if it was less than expected, it was still helpful enough for what he needed here.
He had been pushed back, damaged and off balance, but he wasn’t done yet. The dark aura formed around the blade once again and then flames ignited as well. A sinister grin came over his face as he looked at the attacker once more. Now when he talked his voice had a much different sound, almost demonic in nature, ”I will fuel myself on your blood one way or another.”
Just like that he darted forward at full speed. Well his full natural speed as he closed the gap the barrage had created as it pushed him even further away from Jeice. He then brought the sword downwards looking to slice from the head to the bellybutton of his foe before twisting his wrists and bringing back up and across the center chest plate of his foe.
Immediately after he faded away. Just for a moment before unleashing a series of slashes as his opponent’s vital spots one after another. His strength was already one of his best traits, but this technique allowed him to focus on that as he looked to just weaken his opponent as fast and violently as he could. It was not time for a simple lazy slash here. He, well more specifically the Crimson Blade was looking for blood and he would consume it one way or another.
That is when he faded away again. The burst of speed similar to a classic teleporting move, but as he did, he circled the red man slashing, stabbing and cutting at any place he could find as the blade just wanted to inflict as much pain as possible in this moment. It was hard to know if it would be successful, but it was clearly an all-out violent assault the likes of which he had yet to display. It was possible the shadow technique from the dark side of Mortorseth would have been known, but it was still hard to deal with no matter if you knew about it or not. That was the goal here. To get back on the offensive or inflict as much pain as he could. Either way Helix was far from being finished.

Finish Him. Though his movements became increasingly more mechanical, as if he were being controlled by some outside source, Helix managed to survive yet another onslaught. The rage bubbling within the pits of Jeice's chest threatened to choke him. Flaming sword in hand the Namekian stared him down with hollow eyes.
"I will fuel myself on your blood one way or another."
Bold claim or not Helix - or whatever had control over the husk that had once been Helix - rushed towards him. Trails of fiery embers tailed off of the sword's blade as it whipped through the air. After being the aggressor for so long Jeice found himself caught off balance by the furious assault leveled his way. Blood spilled to the ground with each stroke of his enemies sword but eventually the Zoteran caught onto Helix's new timing.
Yanking a small dagger from his thigh and doing his best to parry each stroke of the sword. As it became clear that Helix was the superior swordsman of the two Jeice roared, "Enough!" Accompanied by a small shockwave his aura screamed to life. With a deft flick of his wrist the Beast sent his poison-tipped dagger spinning towards the Namekian's chest.
Suddenly finding himself with two free hands the soldier held them up and raced in a circle around his foe. Energy blazing in his palms he grinned savagely before unleashing a torrent of powerful ki blast, each seeking to snuff Helix's life from existence.

DAMAGE REPORT TIME: (I really should have done this last post…)
Jeice has Taken: Vast Cross (DR 3.5), Kuzu Ryu (DR 4), Block vs DR 5.5 Shadow Assault
Helix has Taken: Block vs DR 4 Morph Gun, Block vs DR 4 Mouth Blast Barrage, Barrier 90%, 50%, 25% vs Mouth Blast Barrage DR 4’s, Took DR 4 Mouth Blast Barrage. (Senzu kicks in here actually), Block vs DR 7.5 RED,
Helix has Taken: Damage Taken: 65.61% + 21.39% = 87% -33% = 58.3% + 25.4% (Blocked RED) = 83.7% Damage Taken. Vitality Lost: 31,200 (Post Damage this turn and post heal and post damage after senzu, actually added some because the number was bothering me…)
Jeice has Taken: 11.5% + 14.7% = 26.2% Damage, Vitality Lost: 7,150
The fatigue of battle was real. Helix was feeling it with every move he made and even though the blade had taken control of his actions, the physical body could only do so much. His opponent went into further rage after the onslaught of weapon strikes. With the rage came the power increase. Clearly the demonic blade and the Namekian could match that rage for rage. He tensed up, blood coming out of his pores as he did and dripping from the hand gripping the blade before vanishing amongst the crimson aura. He wasn’t going to go down without actually giving it his all.
He was going to need all that power too because his opponent was still in the world of trying to finish him off. Helix waited as he tried to gain his footing, but before he could the barrage came down once again. It wasn’t the mouth barrage that had struck him over and over again in this battle, but a much more dangerous barrage was coming down this time. He covered up, crossing his arms in the classic X defense posture as the energy swarm rained down upon him. The blasts struck relentlessly, but he tried to maneuver the blade and his arms to negate any direct hits to the body. The explosions got through, but the raw power was at least somewhat hindered.
He was so exhausted that he didn’t even realize the poison was radiating through his body from even before he blocked the attack. Still he wasn’t going to give up yet. Covered in rubble, debris and a smoke cloud from the assault, it was time to try to use it as cover. The flames still engulfed his body so he just hoped that they would be helpful here.
From the cloud his left hand flung out, extending to try to strike the body of Jeice with a hard punch. He then pounced at the red man. It was his body catching up to the extended hand as it was brought back that allowed him to slash with a powerful and rapid strike, while following through with a slicing elbow aimed at the hunter’s nose. He kept the air time once again hoping to get this fight into more of a melee struggle. So far it seemed to maybe be something that his opponent might actually struggle at dealing with.

Until the fat lady sings? Senses blinded by rage and eyes blinded by smoke the Beast stared into the debris cloud that his ruthless attack had resulted in. His eyes scanned for any sign of his opponent but something told him he'd finally achieved his goal. Just as his guard dropped the Namekian sprang out of his hiding hole and nailed him in the gut. Caught by surprise he was forced to merely accept as Helix's blade opened a gash across his forearm.
Finally shaken awake by a stinging elbow to the nose that resulted in a gush of blood spraying the namekian's face, Jeice barred his teeth and delivered a devasting left hook before donkey kicking his opponent to open space between them again. Flying backwards he slammed a massive finger on his forearm computer to which his armor responded by injecting him with an energy restoring medicine.
As his feet hit the ground and his massive frame slid to a stop he raised his hands over his head. "Try my Crusher Ball again!" he screamed as a red beach ball of energy appeared within his dinner plate-sized hands. Like a soccer player on the inbound he threw his arms forward and sent the orb hurtling towards his enemy. For good measure he gathered his ki up once again to fill the air with a half-dozen smaller but no less deadly energy blasts.

He was smashed into the air after receiving a strong hook to the face. He was caught off guard by the blow, actually hurting it seemed. It wasn’t just from a single blow though, but from the culmination of all that had been dropped on him so far. In most cases it was actually dropped on him. Helix didn’t fight gravity, instead just trying to turn to see what was coming next from his foe.
It was a benefit of his training with Guru in what felt like a lifetime ago that he shifted in midair adjusting his body in a way that maneuvered a good chunk of damage from the crusher ball away from blowing him to pieces right there and then. He braced himself covering up with the remains the landscape in the area giving him just enough cover to not be blown away.
He looked up as he landed only to see that one blast wasn’t enough. Once again, the barrage was coming at him. It was never ending. He hated it with a passion, ”STOP WITH THE BARRAGES!!!!” It was the shout sent forth from the blade, but it worked like the classic martial artist shout allowing his body to be partially protected from the incoming pain and suffering. It was also the last words likely that Helix would say and it was given by the blade that had controlled him for so long.
He was about to fall over even after the scream, his body was nearly giving way completely at this point. He started to stumble forward, ’NOT YET. I’M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!’ The blade yelled within the mind of Helix causing him to posture back up ever so slightly.
The dark energy filled the entire area now. The ferocity of the blade causing an unintelligible scream before he bolted forward to his target. The energy swelled around his body, even as the poison consumed him more and more. He formed a field of energy around his hand before sending it to his opponent in a twirl looking to strike out like a lash against his foe. It was only the setup though. He knew now that he had to find a way to end this right here and now.
He sent both hands forward, rushing to Jeice and as he did the energy formed, but in a dark near void of light ball of energy. It then began to flicker out crimson red color as the blast came forth only to be launched at the red skinned hunter. The explosion would be quick and sudden, looking to cover the entire battlefield and everything around it in a massive blast that would shake Namek to its very core. He didn’t care if it worked or not. It was his last-ditch effort and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste in his moment of greatest need. Maybe it would work and he would live to see another day, but Helix knew for sure he was going to go down swinging if he did fall. Namek would forever know his presence and what he caused. This explosion if nothing else would make sure that was the case.

It's better to burn out than to fade away. Managing to prove himself capable of withstanding far more punishment than Jeice's carefully laid plans had accounted for, Helix braved his onslaught and came out standing - shakily - on both feet with his sword in hand. The namekian was little more than an empty vessel, somehow finding the fuel to stay upright but having long lost any life that had once inhabited it. Seeing the creature that remained stumbling forward twisted the Zoteran's stomach into knots. He remembered dying and the experience wasn't one he planned to repeat. Even if Helix managed to come back like he had, there would always be a part of his soul that was torn asunder by the process of being forcibly exiled from their dimension.
Amazingly, Helix was able to gather some energy in his hand before striking out with it like a bullwhip. With a small sense of pity the soldier dodged the desperation attack. The whip end raked the air right where his face had been a moment before, cracking with a gunshot-like retort. Having moved a dozen feet to the left with the swiftness of a fly evading the swatter, Jeice sighed. "It is over," he called wearily. "Let it be." Suddenly the namekian took off at a sprint moving far quicker than he'd looked capable of a moment before. Drawing upon reserves that Jeice couldn't have fathomed the depths of before he gathered an immense amount of energy within his arms.
The power... how could he collect so much energy so quick?!
Whether the blast hit him or not, Jeice knew what was coming would be a reckoning - a device to force upon him all the damage he'd inflicted upon Helix to that point and then some more for good measure. A last ditch effort from a dying man to cling to something - in this case him - and drag that something down with him.
"I will not die here today!" the Beast screamed over the buzzing of the energy in Helix's palms. The dull roar filled his ears and whether it was actually audible or a figment of his imagination - death knocking on his door again - he wasn't sure. He threw his arms up and lost sight of the Namekian as a sheet of Namek rose between them. Fueled by his own powerful desire to escape from falling into the grips of the Grim Reaper again the Zoteran raised thousands of tons of rock from the ground. He pulled the ground from under his feet so that even as the thickness of his great shield grew he sank lower and lower into his subterranean bomb shelter.
A thunderous explosion overhead sent a sonic boom rushing through the barrier. It rattled Jeice's teeth but was no comparison to the earthquake that struck. As Namek shook violently with Helix's determination Jeice was slammed against the ground. Still he burrowed deeper and strengthed the protective layer. The rumbling continued for several seconds before the barrier abruptly broke and he was buffeted by the last death woes of his enemy's hatred. The oxygen was sucked out of his lungs instantly and for a few seconds he blacked out or went blind or both.
When his eyes fluttered open again he was lying in a massive hole in the ground. When Helix's attack first struck he'd been covered by a quarter-mile of rock but he now found himself staring straight into a smoke-filled sky. Coughing up blood Jeice struggled to his feet and, anticipating no imminent threat from his foe he rose slowly out of the hole. Looking above he could see the smoke rapidly dissipating as a strong Namekian crosswind carried it away. When he reached the surface the sky had all but cleared. Namek was scarred, and probably always would be. It would forever bear the new mark and even if it one day tectonic shifting erased it from history it would likely be long after any species living in the galaxy current were gone.
Heat still radiated from the ground as Jeice landed near Helix. In the end, Helix's power truly had been devastating to say the least. "You made your mark..." Jeice said to the warrior. He didn't bother to mention that one day in the not-so-distant future the entire area would probably become a lake where life could thrive. Nature would drive what remained of the duo's negative energies out of the locale. It was better that Helix was able to go with some small measure of peace, even if he had been a psychopath.
He considered saying more, but there really wasn't anything that needed to be said. Instead he raised his hand and aimed two fingers at Helix's forehead. A narrow beam streaked across the short distance between them - a poetic way to end a battle that had been so full of energy dumps and dramatic explosions. It was a candle snuffer putting out the last flame of a forest fire. A silent death for a life that had been lived with such volume. ----------------- Attacks Taken (Round): [86% DR 3.5] Vast Cross [86% DR 4] Kuzu Ryu Sen [Blocked DR 5.5] Mortoseth Shadow Assault [86% DR 1] Mystic Attack [86%] Quick Cut (1 WA + 1 QA) Important Notes: -1% Ki Cost all energy attacks | Earrings of Lucidity 14% Damage Reduction | Damaskian Armor IV +3% Energy Damage | Ki Gloves Crit: Slice | Serrated Dagger Ki Used: -7.2% +0% [-4% for FoH last turn]Remaining: 18.3% DMG: 11.5%

The explosion happened, the rocks didn’t stand in the way nearly as much as the red man would have likely hoped, but it was enough for what he needed it for. He was alive and that was what Helix saw as the mushroom cloud finally cleared away from the battlefield. His last-ditch effort didn’t work and that meant that he had nothing left to rely on. He was exhausted and yet still he had fuel pouring through his body.
He gripped his sword ready to go once more and then the sudden beams came forth. The first he blocked with his arms, but the pain hit the threshold and his body gave up on him. He finally dropped the crimson blade and the energy around him faded. The second beam hit directly consuming him for a moment. He fell to his knees, his last breath still yet to be had.
”Thank you for freeing me from the corruption. The Sword, don’t pick it up. I did the same when I was fighting enemies before and it did all of this to me. It turned me into the betrayer, it is the reason for all of the bloodshed.” He manifested a journal in his hand, ”Take this instead, it was given to me by Guru long before any of this started. I wrote before my mind was gone. If he reads this, I know he will reward you for giving it back. Please make the right choice.”
That was the last thing he would say, falling over and crashing face first into the ground as nothing more than a lifeless corpse. The sword sitting on his right and the journal on his left. The choice of what Jeice took was left to the hunter. He had completed the task of killing the Betrayer.

End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path. One that we all must take. In his final moments Helix seemed to have a change of character. He became, at least for a moment, the man that Jeice heard had once been the pride of his people. The warning about the sword seemed to fall on deaf ears though. The Beast reveled in his power, and after the absolute thrashing that the Namekian had taken while continuing to fight against the odds for so long, he felt sure that he could use the sword to even greater affect.
As Helix fell over, finally falling victim to his mortal wounds, the Zoteran approached the corpse and reached for the sword. His hand stayed itself inches from the ruby pommel stone. "No, best not do that," he said with a chuckle. His mission on Namek was to improve relations with the natives in the name of the Cosmic Empire. Previous occupations had always seen failure, and part of that was because the namekian race always sided with the lesser of two evils when they could. Convince them that the CE was good for them and the Empire would find itself about fifty thousand Namekian's stronger.
Picking up the book instead he rose into the air. Just before the Beast Serum wore off - doing so after battle ended by design - he turned back and threw a blast at the sword and corpse. Both were obliterated in the explosion.
