Hayami grunted in annoyance. She did check the cloesest sealed stone just in case, but it seemed that the kitsune had also ignored that place. In it's weakened state, she believed that it would choose to rest first, to further increase it's strength after awakening so suddenly. The Celestial shook her head and looked up. It wasn't like the creature would just show itself.
"Guess I should head back through North City, that should be the fastest way to the next shrine it would be interested in." She just remembered that in her research, there was supposed to be a sealed shrine within a town just south of North City. It probably had enough magic energy that the kitsune would go after it. She started to flew her way there, intent to catch the thing before it harmed innocents.

Well, that was unfortunate.
Juch had his arms crossed as he looked over at the empty building. Boarded up windows and peeling paint cast a long shadow on the otherwise sunny day. There was a local cafe here that he had been familiar with the last time he came to Earth. It seemed like they weren't here anymore. What a shame. Shaking his head, he headed back out on the street when he noticed a figure coming over the horizon of the taller buildings.
"Hoh?"
He tilted his head. Was that...?
The doctor stopped in his tracks as his gaze remained fixated on the airborne person. If she didn't notice him like he did with her, the android would flare up a bit of ki in his palm to attract her attention. He was fond of being low key, but this was someone that he hadn't seen for quite a while.

It was kind of hard not to noticed someone that was standing next to a building that was obviously closed. The Celestial tilted her head as she came to a stop in the air and narrowed her eyes in thought. She knew the face, but she hadn't heard from this person since...
"Oh, right, he was with me on Grace. Or I was with him?" She said this out loud, before she nodded to herself and decided that it was not a bad idea to see if maybe he was interested in her hunt. The Celestial flew towards the ground, and noted that it was a café that he was near that was closed. A shame, she had enjoyed her own time at the café that she had worked at on Grace.
"Juch," she said cheerfully, landing with practiced grace, "How have you been?" While she was in a sort of hurry, Juch was someone that Yan trusted and relied on.

She came closer. The sun wasn't in Juch's eyes as he continued to look up, but it didn't seem like it would have affected the android in the first place. He gave the girl a nod in greeting as her shoes touched the pavement, "Fancy seeing you here, Ms. Hayami," Juch spoke with a small smile, "I am well, thanks for asking. How are your endeavors?"
Ever since the whole ruckus on Grace all that time ago, he didn't think the two of them were in the same general vicinity. So it was interesting to see her here on Earth out of all places. Despite the planet being a bit out of the way, it seemed to always attract people there--including himself, from time to time.
"What brings you here? Are you traveling somewhere?"

"Well, this was my home before Grace," Hayami replied as she smiled a bit and leaned against the wall of the building. "As to what brings me here any my endeavors, I'm hunting. I'm currently hunting for magic sources. So that the accident that happened in that hostpial on Grace doesn't happen again." She waved her hand and an indigo flame appeared in her hand. Foxfire, the same mystical flames that kitsune used- in the west, they could be thought of like Will-O-Wisp, illusions that lured people.
"I was traveling to a new shrine, because the one i was just at released a rather malevolent kitsune spirit. I was sure that I had him too," she stated calmly as the flame changed to resemble the shape of the beast. It was rather large, about a man and half, with twin tails. It had a wicked grin on it's face, with flaming eyes.
She waved the flame away and smiled lightly, "But since he just came back to our plane, he ran away. He'd be weaker now because he had to trick me to get away. There was a smaller shrine closer, but its not worth his time, I think." This was kind of a lot to throw at Juch, but it was enough information to show that she wasn't here for play. "Oh, and I came here to do a lot of research into Nine Tailed Foxes and regular kitsune spirits. Damaskia wants to know how best they could replicate me, if it's at all possible. And a lot of research into the lost art of alchemy. I've been very busy."

Juch's gaze darted towards the flames that burst forth in front of him. The fire held his attention for a brief moment and he looked at it with a curious smile before returning back towards Hayami. They had a different signature than just regular ki, "Magic sources, you say?" he repeated as if mulling to himself.
Hayami had explained quite a bit--it was an amount of different information, but condensed down to a handful of various points. Damaskia, spirits, alchemy, magical sources...
"That is a full plate for anyone, I would imagine," Juch's smile grew a little wider, "If you're on a mission right now, I would loathe to distract you from it. Would you mind if I accompany you? I am rather curious about the object of your pursuit."

"It has been quite a handful," she admitted, as she showed him a side of herself that Yan only knew of from experiments. A crack on her skin, under her sleeves. "After I helped defend my old home town from the demons Yan had to seal up again, I found that I had used too much magic. My mortal self is a careful crafted as a barrier for what I conceal. Therefore, I need to repair my barrier. Make it stronger."
She smiled at the good doctor's offer and nodded her head. "Yes, you can help me. That kitsune is a rather tricky beast. It's better to find it as soon as I can." The Celestial nodded towards the south, "The closest and highest source of magic is another magic beast that is sealed. If he drains that source, he'll release another bothersome creature. Something like a chimeria in Earth past of Greece. Have you read about it?"

A youthful appearance belies a hidden fissure.
It was the first time that he had seen such a thing. Given Hayami's explanation, it wasn't an ordinary blemish. It certainly didn't look like it. And given their conversation back at the hospital on Grace, things did match up. It seemed like Yan knew more about this sort of thing than he did, which was to be expected. Yan was the one who introduced Hayami and Daji to him, in a way.
"A chimera, you say?" Juch tilted his head. He certainly had read something like that before. Earth had many stories to offer, and given the rather numerous amounts of subcultures that existed on the planet, they were quite varied. In terms of so called mythical creatures, however, the descriptions of a good number of them involved a Frankstein’s monster-esque imagination. A piece from one animal here, another piece of another animal here, and well, there you go, "Lion's head, goat's body, snake tail? That sounds like trouble. I'm not fond of trouble."
"I'm ready to provide whatever assistance that you need then. And it looks like I'd be able to obtain some interesting data while I'm at it."
