Her ears hurt. Her head hurt.
A glass of water didn't help. Delyth winced as she wsat at the edge of her bed. She still heard the blaring ringing even twenty minutes later. In her frustration, she glared up in the direction of the smoke alarm, hanging almost innocently on the ceiling, "Yeah, sound off when there's nothing the matter, why don't ya?" she muttered darkly underneath her breath.
No, she couldn't sleep in such a foul mood. Delyth hopped off, her bare feet touching the cold floor. Brrrr! She began pacing back and forth, until a different pulsating glow caught her attention. It wasn't the blinking of the smoke alarm, but rather, the blood red trinket that she had bought from a traveling merchant from a while back. Yeah...that wasn't a bad idea.
She took hold of it in her hands. When she closed her eyes, she dreamed of different places. And she met different people there too. The girl didn't know how any of it worked, but...it worked like that so, maybe it'd help her sleep a bit. With gem in hand, she crawled back underneath her sheets and closed her eyes.
Her head still blared out in pain as each second passed. And passed. And...passed...
Delyth opened her eyes. She was in a meadow. She felt the wind. She felt the warmth.
And, at the very least here, she didn't have a headache from being woken out of bed, at one in the morning, due to a false smoke alarm.

Hayami had finished up a business deal: she ate her food quickly, licked her hands from the juicies of the fruit that she had devoured, and then looked around her. This town was a little more Western in her search for magic objects than she had expected. Hell, the most annoyance was the looks and leers from the young men. Now that she was back to her normal form and not the crimson haired form that she took with Yan, she was a little older looking.
The young kitsune stopped at her inn and checked with the receptionist. She could keep the room another two days, but they would need another whole day to clean it. Hayami thanked her like a foreigner that was utterly grateful and the elderly woman patted her head. She grunted that she was too old for that, but she'd tolerate it from "Baba-chan", a nickname the woman took to heart.
She waltzed up to her room and sat back in her bed, her eyes narrowed ahead. And then she felt the tug from the psychic realm. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check back in with those in this realm: it had been so long since she had a random encounter that it was refreshing in her mind! The Celestial took the call and wound up in a forest.
She looked around a moment before she pushed her way into a meadow, where she found the other person. The kitsune smiled brightly and called out, "Hello there." She waved with one arm and all three of her ebony tails. She could call on all nine if needed, but she very much doubted that such was needed in such a calm environment.

Delyth stretched with her arms raised up high in the air. She heard a few cracks and snaps in her back and she sighed in relief. It feels so much better here. She may be able to just take a nap here and it would be much better than back in her bed. She was about to sit down and lie on the ground when she heard a voice call out, "Hm?"
The brown haired girl looked over to see another person standing not too far from her. Delyth had never seen someone like her before...did, did she have--where those tails? And her ears? Delyth blinked twice before raising a hand back in greeting, "H-Hi," she said with a small smile, "I'm Delyth. What's your name?"

Hayami smiled as her teeth, sharp, showed. "I'm Hayami," the kitsune replied cheerfully. She walked towards Delyth and looked her around, literally moving round her. She even sniffed at her for dramatic effect before she stopped just in front of her. "So, where are ya from?" Hayami asked with a grin on her face, before she backed up a bit.
Hayami's tailed waved around lazily as her ears perked up towards Delyth, twitching when she spoke. It was like she was both humanoid and animal, but she only really played it up around people that didn't know her. It was very fun to see how people dealt with it.

Delyth blinked again as Hayami came closer. The other girl seemed very happy to see her, and...oh. What, what sharp teeth she has! Subconsciously, Delyth gulped as she stiffened her body while Hayami circled around. Livestock was one thing--this...this was something different altogether! Especially the sniffing--it made the hairs on her arms stand up.
Ugh. Urgh. Ubwuwu.
She just wanted a relaxing time. Not this! This was turning into anything but that!
"Oh...oh, me?" Delyth squeaked, "W-where am I from? Uh, well...Fridula. That's where I live..."
As she spoke the name of one of Damaskia's colonies, she asked back, "Er, what about--what about you?"

"I'm from Earth," Hayami replied cheerfully. She found the girl's reactions endearing, so she stayed back and pulled- from the void- a picnic basket and then a blanket. It had the Shadowguard sigil woven into it as she set it down. "I work for Damaskia, though. If I remember right, your from a colony... how are things there?"
Three Celestial probably didn't seem like someone from the Shadowguard, but that was the point, wasn't it? "Oh, and don't worry, you cab relax around me. My superiors don't know I can enter this realm."
In the basket were rather staple Damaskian fare, but it was the tea she was most proud of. "Go ahead and try it out." It was all cooked with Earth spices, so the Celestial wondered how the basic Damaskian deit changed in this way would taste.

Delyth placed a hand on her back of her neck, rubbing it slowly as Hayami removed herself from being...like, right next to her. She wasn't sure how to feel about this new person. On one hand, Hayami seemed fluffy enough--her tails, her ears...
All the other hand, those same features set her a bit on edge, as even though it seemed like Hayami was just teasing her, the more basic, animalistic side did make Delyth a bit nervous. But, she worked for Damaskia? Delyth paused in place, "Oh...you work for the empire? Wow, yeah, I uh, I didn't know."
"Everything on the colony is going well," she continued, if a bit lamely. She wasn't really sure what to say. Life was life, and while there was annoyances and obstacles, it was still life. She didn't really know how to describe it, but it's...going well? Instead of having to elaborate further, Delyth's eyes widened at the sudden appearance of a picnic basket. Its contents were offered over, and the girl was distracted enough by the appearance of some familiar foods that she didn't question much about it all, "Oh, th-thanks," she nodded, as she reached in and took out a small oval meat pasty--an Oggie, as she knew it to be.
She took a bite, with crumbs flying every which way. She never knew how to not eat these things messily, but it was a good snack in between breaks while working. However, she paused on her second chew. Its flavor...wasn't what she was expecting. It wasn't bad. On the contrary, it was good. But the difference between expectation and what she got did throw her for a loop--that certainly showed on Delyth's expression, "Um," she covered her mouth with her hand as she continued to speak with her mouth full, "It's uh, good! Just...just not what I was expecting. How did you make this Oggie?"

"Remember how I said I'm from Earth? I added different spices than your probably not used to," Hayami said with a bright smile. She sat down on the blanket with an invite for Delyth to sit down as well. "A universal seasoning like salt is there. There's also a small amount of paprika, and some mint to make the paprika more palatable to someone not used to it."
She picked up another Oggie that was made with sticky rice on the outside, "Try this one. It's not as crunchy, but I think the flavor will surprise you. This one's not spicy."
None of these were concepts, either. As someone that could feed Beerus, she had honed her culinary skills. As she had hoped, knowing and combing different flavors could spark conversation and maybe relax the girl. "Oh, here's some water. Just regular water." She offered her the thermos eighth the ice water
