Jiren: NA | Shaoran Combat Rune
BalialLast Monday at 1:24 PM
Jiren had come to grow accustom to meeting with Shaoran, rather it was by chance or by plaining. Today was no different, the two stood where they had once bumped into one another, a shabby bar that was known for it's underground activities. "So, how about you tell me a bit about this place and how exactly you know it?" Jiren asked, not in a harsh or demanding way but in a curious manor.

"How'd I get to know this place? It's not that long a story. I first found out about this place the time that I myself saved master Ury ten years ago," Shaoran stated calmly as he sipped on his wine. He went with something a bit lighter, since he could be called to action at any time while on the planeet. He looked over at Jiren and wondered if he should tell the alien that he was at a level go go even further beyond Super Saiyan now. It was interesting that he had made it here, but it wasn't something he'd bore the Grey with.
"As for about this place, what you see around you is just a front. This is actually an information place," he stated, before he pointed at the selfsame bar man that had been there the other day. "He's the information broker. If you can get on his good side, he'll sell you information. Don't just demand it, he won't give it." The Saiyan turned his eyes to Jiren and then stated, "So, what particularly did you want to know? Maybe how I first came to this place? How I can read his coded message?" He smiled, not nearly tipsy. The wine barely gave him a hint of a buzz.

Jiren lifted his water as he drank and listened to the words of the one that he had often met with, Shaoran. His words drifting off his lips as he told little detail but just simply asked Jiren what he would rather know first. The Grey placed the glass down as he looked at the information broker and nodded slowly.
"How about how you first came to this place? You said something about Master Uyr, that old fool always need saving?" Jiren said in a light hearted manor considering the fact that the both of them just went in to save him just but a week ago.

Shaoran chuckled after he sipped on his wine, before he replied, "I was looking for information on Master Ury, yes. I saw someone sneak their way into this place, so I stormed in. All "heroic" because I felt like I was. Almost go myself shot to death. I was a lot weaker then, than I am now." He swung his hand as though he were chopping at someone. "I stormed in and demanded the guy that had just ran in. Bartender stared at me like I was crazy. Told me to get the hell out if I didn't have business here."
He swung his arm as if to draw a sword. "Then I demanded the guy again. Said I was after the guys who stole Master Ury. His face changed as he offered information on it. The very first time cost me a pretty penny, too. Of course I tried to just demand the information, but that wasn't possible. He's got bodyguards that were triple your current chi levels. And that was ten years ago." He pointed to the men that sat near the door.
"Same guys. The lot of them ex Paladins. Not kicked out, they quit after they saw the corruption back then. Nice guys once you get passed their rough exterior. Took a lot of drinks, now that I remember it," he said the last part in a joking manor.

“Seems like you like to meet with a lot of ex paladins that share your mentality on the Order. Are you looking to bring the order down?” Jiren asked as he took another swig of his water. The dark tint of his eyes starring at Shaoran not knowing what his intentions with the Paladin Order exactly were.

"If I had wanted to bring the Order down, then why bother to return?" Shaoran asked quizzically. "If I had wanted to do so, I'd have just stayed in the Saiyan Army and aired Avalon's dirty laundry from a safe distance. And again, I met these guys ten years ago. I was in on Avalon then as well."
Jiren could easily see that Shaoran meant every word. The fact that he had dirt on how unscrupulous Avalon could be in it's times past should have been indicator enough. The rotten pieces of Avalon and the Order were institutionalized. Not just recent symptoms. He then posed his own question to Jiren, "Do you believe every organization has nothing to hide? No dirt, no secret swept under the rug? The Paladins are simply the best to balance out the dark in this universe. The Scholars are knowledge hoarders, and the others are either forces of darkness or have their own agendas that don't mind senseless murder."

"I believe everyone is hiding something, that is the nature of life." Jiren said as he placed the glass down against the bar, his booming voice filling the room with a soft rumble. "My question was meant more toward your intentions, you spoke of wanting the Order to change, you spoke of the corruption. I will not assume one's actions or views so I just wanted to know what you wanted to do to the Order. Back or not doesn't matter, sometimes it's easier to bring things down from the inside than it is the outside." Jiren shrugged to himself as he spoke, he was not much of a talker, long sentences were rarely ever spoken like he just did.
He looked over the men and woman in the bar, some rougher than others, and then back to Shaoran. "The Order will do what they feel the must, as well other organizations. I joined simply because I felt that I could do right by becoming not a warrior but a protector. I will keep my code, I will never kill. Other's can do as they wish, I am here to protect what is important to me."

"You seem to have misunderstood," the Saiyan said as he looked straight at Jiren. "Avalon is so much easier to destroy from the outside than the inside. My point in changing the Order, if I ever do get to do it, is to remove the xenophobia that many of the members that live on Avalon have. I do not pretend that I can change the majority of it. I just want to help people without being looked at as a monster, or a traitor." This conversation had soured his mood now, as he hated thinking about how the Order continued to treat him.
The Saiyan stood then, as he looked at Jiren calmly. "If you justify that attitude by not calling them out, Jiren, you are an accomplice to every atrocity and every wrong committed by the Order because you let it happen silently. Just another Paladin the crowd. Such narrow minded thoughts will never change the Paladin Order." He turned to leave, but would hear if Jiren had a response to his statements.
