Old Character Sheet: Garou
Last Update: Here
Would love to reclaim those stats. If possible, switching to a new character (below, no race change) would be pretty cool too. Plenty of examples of my old RPs to dig through, but I remember having fun writing this so sample RP here.
New Character Name: Raijin
Character Bio:
In a universe far removed from Universe 7, from Zeno and the Kais, there was once a great sect of people. Bipedal and humanoid, but blessed with a dark and patterned skin that twinkled like starlight unlike any of their kin. They were called Seekers: the most honored among heaven and earth, a blessing from the gods upon mortal men. They were anomalies explained more by divinity than by science, born from common people but grown into something spectacular. Their imbued divinity came with more than altered physical features. Some Seekers gained a superhuman strength, others a mental acuity to break barriers of science, or the charisma to sway countries and planets. The luckiest of them gained all of these, the unluckiest woke up with only a new complexion and vision, but no matter the degree of divinity that a Seeker awakened to one thing was always certain. A Seeker could hear the voice of their god.
Raijin was born to nobodies - small people in a small world, residents of a dilapidated city so old that civilization had almost forgotten its existence. Slavers and scoundrels were the first-class citizens there, and Raijin's parents were so stuck in the cycle of destitution that they could never leave. Born to such a family, sickly and pale and so far removed from the bountiful civilization that thrived under the Seekers, nobody had expected the boy to become one himself. When the day came that Raijin did change, his parents wept both with gratitude and fear. Gratitude that they had been blessed through their boy; fear that they had been given a font of light only for it to soon leave for the sake of duty.
From fear came desperation, and from desperation came a plan. They would act as if nothing happened at all. Every day, Raijin could hear the call to action in his thoughts, to fight or study or work in the name of the gods. Every day, he was refuted by those who had loved him and sheltered him and told that he was not blessed at all. Questioned about how someone from such humble means could ever be more than they were. Day by day, the voice of divinity grew quieter until finally Raijin heard nothing at all.
Weeks and months left this betrayal quietly behind until one day, the scum of the city came a little closer than usual. Close enough to see before their eyes, living out of a garbage heap, a boy of 16 with eyes that twinkled and skin that sucked in light like a sponge. With their gasps, Raijin heard an old familiar voice ringing through his mind.
"Escape."
