Vlad did not know his at times black at times brown hair that poked out from under the helmet turned colors when he charged it to heal, but he was glad to help and smiled to his new friend of necessity “no pro-” the foe seemed to be back on the offensive as Vlad attempted to gauge an opening feeling as good as his effort to assist the youth was a more direct aid was no doubt to be of greater benefit than being an IV of healing for as long as he could. Saiyans were proud but capable warriors. An elite likely excelled in both like Limburger needed to be given a very sudden shove, seeing a foe seemingly well and truly incapable of defending themselves before guard was down enough for a sudden blow before he could brace himself. Elite was more than the rank and file pride blinded, desperation tactics beyond blind rage.
EP3 frowned at her offer for aid seemingly being rejected by the warrior clearly wounded, she pulled the bag back, still offering to hand it over on request or after the foe was done.
The enemy had resumed offensive measures and the duo of androids prepared for a potential group strike on them as well because they were still enemies that could approach in the event the others were too injured to fight.
Unfortunately, a big group blow did come, a powerful expansion of power that widened the gap for them and rocked the house to put it lightly.
The attack Vlad did his best to brace for and floated, pulling his body tightly into a fetal ball aura enveloping him hoping to take as much damage off as his fairly significant defenses could. He then rocketed away from the cave in and toward the foe.
EP3 as well packed herself low in profile and behind her trusted shield the forgers on Avalon making powerfully tempered with age yet state of the art defense the shield being capable of expanding to link with others to be its own cover and the gynoid braced for pain behind it tho no doubt to suffer a fair bit of pain if nowhere else to the arm that held the shield that transferred the block force.
She would quickly feel the area giving way to the vast powers that rocked the zone and she knew she had to sprint to get out of the way and to dive if she had to as well free-run par core seldom for her had been of greater need.
Vlad used TK to try and assist EP3 maintain her momentum with her escape and attempt to draw closer.
Vlad darted to a flank of the enemy where it would be likely to be more open to attack with less likely to get into the path of an ally.
Vlad did his best to power through the sensor complications and lock onto a good slice of the elite’s flesh and fired a painful concussive blast to try to aid in offense.
Vlad reached his mind out to gohan <I am here to aid the time stream, a powerful entity was outside and my other allies of necessity got a bit big blast happy and my student and myself being out of our leagues in destructive power, we tried to find alternate ways of aiding, encountering you all was incidental, no clue what we would find in this underground path ,be it civilians in need of aid to be of use or some one behind the time interference to try and apprehend.. safe say we are here to help in what way we can, hopefully being more than adding to collateral.> 616

Deathly still waters. Both Wriggle and Anna stopped, having reached their destination quicker than the others. There were options that they needed to pick up. Car tracks to follow, an obviously known fact that a lab lay deep in these waters, or fuck it and fight the monsters. Before a decision could be made, Hertz popped up and gave Anna a greeting before… she saw him change. He changed into a murder dance bot of massive destruction. This was a bit more destructive than usual and Anna wanted to blame it on the song actually being played. That would explain it to be honest. “Let’s not waste this opportunity. Since you are holding an unconscious body I’m going to barrier us. Take a deep breath first because I’m cloaking our entire body.” Anna took in a deep breath and popped a skin tight barrier around all of them giving them time to do the same. She made it skin tight just in case they found something to grab. This would keep them from getting wet. Wriggle and Anna would then jump into the waters and bee line it to the lab while also looking around just in-case there was something they could miss on the way there. As they pushed through it, eventually they rose out of the water, with Wriggle jumping out of it -- knowing that she needed to be completely out when the barrier dropped. She landed at the edge of the chamber, her feet tapping on it making an echo along with the splatter of water. When Yan’s head broke through, Anna would be climbing out of the water and turning back to reach and pull him out. When their bodies were completely out the barrier would phase away and they all could collectively exhale and breathe again -- Anna and Wriggle did so. They were dry, or should be, so no splatter of water came from them, silencing the area around them. They felt alone -- or should… until… HeheheheheheheHahahahahahahaha Hohohohohohoooooo Anna dropped her eyebrows into a serious scowl at the laughter, just a small sign that she used that to battle back the chills that ran up her spine. Was someone still here? It wouldn’t really matter much -- they had to advance, which Anna was ready to do and looked around for the next destination or potential destinations to traverse. “We need to heal this guy so I am not carrying him anymore,” Wriggle said in a hushed tone. She wasn’t scared of the laughter or the ambience, but she surely did not want to disturb who or what it was. For all she knew, they were being watched by it. It could be an illusion. Who knew. Anna only nodded to what Wriggle said. Anna wanted to use that laughter as a guide to where they should go. Which-- would be difficult seeing as it pressed so closing to their ear drums. Yan let his eyes follow the trail over the bridge. Fresh tracks, a car leaving, like they knew someone was going to find them. If that was the case it was possible they took whatever was valuable with them, but if Vegeta was being experimented on, they couldn’t really just up and move him could they? Juturna’s words about the storm not being a normal event of the past also settled on him. They could just have gone to go investigate it. That’d be just as sensible.
Whoever it was going for whatever was very uncertain compared to the promised scientist below. They couldn’t have all gotten out, and maybe there would be answers left behind even if they had. Such rushed clean up jobs were never thorough enough.
As he was making that decision, Juturna’s words popped up in his vision. He moved his eyes towards it, then turned his head, and probably looked quite odd, but he’d never had her as his eye before so it was something to grow used to.
”Juturna asks that you try and take him home with you,” Yan said, with an amused crooked smile, both at the idea of taking such a currently murderous bot home with her and the familiarity that existed between her and the ASI, planet, existence that had been vaguely cautious since her recovery. She ate up data to be sure, but she wasn’t sure what she wanted in life. Not yet. He had yet to show her.
Yan took his breath and followed the two women into the waters, moving down the tunnel with ease. Unlike the original past, with Hertz playing interference, they didn’t have the terror of the army approaching, and unlike the past that made this journey exceptionally long, this venue had changed.
He took Anna’s hand and pulled himself out. The barrier popped, and he shocked his head and hair like it’d be wet, happy when it wasn’t, though the laugh crept in quickly.
”Sentient golems?” Yan asked but he walked to Wriggle and placed his hand on Tarble’s head. He had a surefire way to wake him up but didn’t want to waste that, so he’d try to heal him first instead. Ironically, this event was one of the few times Yan would ever use his healing ability while he had it in the early days, and now he was using it again.
Afterwards, he smacked Tarble across the face for good measure, in case that woke him up, then for one more good measure, flicked him hard between the eyes. If that didn’t wake him up, he was probably dead.

Once more Towa was able to completely snap open the haze through the whole tunnels, at least the magical portion of it. Shell stretched his senses out trying to find a gathering of Saiyans. They had been following a few, hoping they would lead them to some type of clue, but he could not find them now, and not for lack of ability.
Bulma had originally sensed the people down in the tunnels. It was more than she expected, and while she knew where they all were, she didn’t have a map of the tunnels to guide anyone to any of these locations, so she didn’t comment on it. Now, when Towa did it again, her eyes closed to take a better sense of things.
”I thought I sensed a large grouping to the north, but they’re not there anymore. Now it seems like there are only six…no, four,” she paused there, once more not hiding the emotions crossing her face. ”There were six strong life forces,” she repeated with a bit of horror. ”There were more before…”
Bulma’s ability to sense energy was somewhat unique. She could sense far distances and with pinpoint accuracy, but she could not tell you how strong the energy signature was. Towa would go on to explain she had an ally as strong as Shell, but that meant nothing to her. All she felt was Shell’s strong lifeforce. While this might not be understood by the two Time Travelers, she was not saying strong as in a higher power level. She was saying strong as in vital, very alive, likely with no prior injuries, and they had been snuffed out in the mere moments in between Towa’s two breakages.
She looked back to Shell as he continued, hopeful once more though his original explanation didn’t reveal much. She did however noticeably shudder when he said Mira ate one of those lights, the very idea incomprehensible to her after what she sensed in them. The idea of it was horrible, and the end result was horrible too. She looked to Towa with sincere sympathy.
She listened though, and listened carefully, putting the facts together. Shell told her to be patient and she nodded, not looking at him obviously in thought.
As Shell said this the coordinates from Juturna came in. The location was south of the summit, meaning if they had fought that fused golem they would have ended up closer to their goal. The tunnels had taken them west from the summit in a pretty straight line to these survivors, meaning their destination was southeast.
Bulma had said she knew the city well. She could likely guide them to this location avoiding any more delays, if they chose to use her.
Unfortunately, the desire for that hit a new snag.
Towa looked for the explosion and found it west of them. It was easy to find as it was consumed in the huge power of the barrier, and one of the strongest points of energy in the whole city. Despite Mira exploding below, she’d find that a lot of his energy had been siphoned up to the surface as if drawn by the barrier above, just as her senses locked onto it however, her senses would suddenly erupt painfully as that barrier rushed towards them.
The tunnel shook violently, enough to destabilize Shell, so of course it sent the humans tumbling wildly, and dangerously. One cracked his head on the wall, and Bulma rushed to action, jumping into flight to try and safeguard the rest of the humans even as a roiling sickness spread over them.
The people that could sense what the barrier was were all sickened when they inspected it. The pain and anguish of the souls trapped inside it could be physically felt, with an energy that was suffocating and dark. Something was fundamentally wrong with it, making one recoil instantly only to be haunted with that feeling lingering after, followed by a keen feeling of being watched.
They no longer felt like they were being watched, but that sensation flooded over everyone now. Even if they couldn’t sense at all, that feeling was there trying to tear apart their insides in a slow pull. It hit Shell and Towa too, and while Towa might be more tolerant of demonic energy, the Namekian would feel his empathy picked at, feel the vast suffering of the city and that potent energy turning his stomach, threatening to bring him to his knees.
Bulma staggered when it hit her and the other humans cried out in the agony of it. The world stopped shaking but now they could feel an overwhelming weight pressing down on them from above. Mira’s storm had expanding as far as their position, likely as far as to every edge of the barrier. It rushed below only from where Mira had originally exploded, slowed significantly but still on its way with something that was definitely destructive.
From above, the energy was sinking into the earth, the planet and some other magic absorbing it more slowly, but from their ceiling a little white light bubbled out from it, as if the storm were leaking into the cavern.
All through this, pushing past this, the storm center was now the center of the city, and from there was the most concentrated of this power. The storm was simply the creature’s aura held in place for now as he fed on the barrier that would slowly begin to shrink into it.

As Gohan stretched out his senses, a chill would definitely slide down his spine. While there were many powerful fighters across the city--there seemed to be massive ones south of them, including that girl Anna who helped him before--a very large one was not far from his group at all. It seemed this route was taking the Elite and his would-be companions, had they not been drowned in rubble, towards some type of base of operations. He could feel a lot of Saiyans near that large power level.
Did a stronger boss lay ahead than this elite they had struggled so long with? Was it even sensible not to run in the opposite direction? Suddenly, the elite’s cockiness made even more sense. If he couldn’t escape, it didn’t matter, because allies were very close by.
But then, right before the haze returned blocking Gohan’s abilities again, he would feel that strong power level rise even further, followed by a huge number of the Saiyan energy signatures vanishing. Chaos unfolded, other signatures rising to battle but none came close to the larger one, and then the haze settled in and he couldn’t sense anything else, not that he really had the time to. The Elite was attacking again.
As the boy buckled down to try and disperse the attack from both himself and Vlad, he had a good amount of success. His block negated almost the entirety of damage for himself, though the final pulse of the shockwave almost nicked his unnamed hero. Luckily, Vlad made himself very small behind the boy and avoided it entirely. EP-3’s shield was enough to negate a lot of it too.
The big show seemed to only be to destroy the cave, the elite’s actual power behind the blast floundering a bit. And Kale, who froze up in place. The cave crashed down upon her, but some of the larger rocks protected her from being completely crushed.
Perhaps the Elite noticed that, because he jumped backward away from the cave in, and fixed himself in a tight block to deal with anyone bum rushing him. There wasn’t a huge amount of space in the tunnel to dodge such a full bodied attack, so he had little choice but to form a shield of energy around him and hope for the best. Vlad’s eye beam crashed into this same weakened film.
Before he could man a counter attack however, the tunnel suddenly shook violently, enough to destabilize even Kale. The close quarters of their little hallway made it extremely easy to crash hard into the walls or ceiling. Even Kale, trapped or not would be slammed against the rocks.
Now, the people that could sense what the barrier was were all sickened when they inspected it.
They would feel their empathy picked at, feel the vast suffering of the city and that potent energy turning their stomachs, threatening to bring them to their knees if they managed to stay standing.
Even the Saiyan Elite cried out in the agony of it, holding his head.
The world stopped shaking but now they could feel an overwhelming weight pressing down on them from above. It came as a rushing wave, but the end result felt like the barrier had expanded and was now pressing down upon them. From above, the energy was sinking into the earth, the planet and some other magic absorbing it more slowly, but from their ceiling a little white light bubbled out from it, as if the storm were leaking into the cavern.
All through this, pushing past this, the center of this extremely potent energy was now the center of the city, and from there was the most concentrated of this power. Now the city was simply engulfed in the creature’s aura, held in place for now as he fed on the barrier that would slowly begin to shrink into it.

While Anna’s search wasn’t very fruitful, Wriggle was able to get a better grasp of the situation in the chamber. For one, Juturna had been partially correct in her suggestion that someone would destroy Kintoyo’s route to her lover. The route was actually fairly unhindered until this room. To the corner of the room were two bodies, a Saiyan man and a pink demon girl. Their wounds seemed to have come from a blade, and were devastatingly precise. There hadn’t been a lot of fight back. They hadn’t been able to. If she went to inspect the body, she’d find that a crown had been ripped from the girl’s head and lay bloody to her side. There was one route past this chamber, another hallway, though with no light coming in either direction it blended perfectly into the shadows without her careful investigation. Whether it was the heal, the smack, or the flick, the end result was that Tarble stirred, coughing up a bit of blood but fully able to gain consciousness once more, though he’d have no idea where he was. In fact, he’d probably be quite scared when he did wake up considering he was being cradled by a monster bug woman and the sound of haunting laughter rang through the darkness.[/div]
The laughter was devious and chilling, malice woven through its coarse melody like the barrier’s sound. A brush of air pushed Anna’s neck, like someone breathing right down it, before another rush of air passed by the whole group. There was a sense they had come across something so malignant, so dark, that maybe they’d found the source of things after all. Maybe this laughter belonged to whatever the barrier wanted to release. A pair of eyes shone through the darkness, lighting up the area around them. One was sky blue while the other was more cobalt, and it seemed the source was about to manifest… And then the laugh became a giggle, and their bodies suddenly stiffened, as if thrown into stasis. ”Just kidding~” came a woman’s voice, the eyes disappearing as she stepped out of the darkness, covering her face with her black hat for the dramatic reveal. ”The timeline has branched way too far off for that event,” she said, dropping her hat to show those eyes above a mischievous smile. Despite their abilities, despite whatever fancy technology existed behind a paywall, nothing could be sensed about the woman’s power. She was dressed in all black, though her hair was a snowy white, and she carried a cane, or perhaps a sword, which she used to balance herself as she stepped forward. ”After all,” she continued lifting the cane to point at Wriggle. ”You’re supposed to be starting your life as a slave on Namek right now,” she said, keeping that glint to her eyes and smile. Though only Wriggle knew it, this was accurate information. The Wriggle of this timeline was started her abusive relationship with Ascalon on Namek right now. The woman turned to Yan, the cane dropping down to her side again. ”And you were supposed to save Agatha Jo, and find your friend Juch.” Her smile faltered at this, becoming more introspective. They still couldn’t move, at least not yet, and she was quick to keep talking lest she end up interrupted. ”Not to worry. That woman will soon leave the timeline on her own and Juch…well, I’m sure he can be reassembled.”She stared at Yan when she said it, fishing for a reaction and smiling all the wider if she got one, knowing they were still trapped even if her time was running out. ”And you,” she said, pointing her cane to Anna, but there was a moment’s pause, and her lips pursed. ”Honestly, I don’t know where you are right now, but all that means is its somewhere of no consequence. After all, the decision that will truly change your life is still a tiny bit more down the line.”It seemed she knew them all, and she even turned to Tarble now. ”Even he’s supposed to be off declaring himself God. This is not the right chain of events at all. Did you think we wouldn’t change things too?”With that the stasis ended, and they were freed, but such freedom was immediately interrupted with a pulse. They were being watched by this woman, but the other sensations flooded over everyone now. Even if they couldn’t sense at all, that feeling was there trying to tear apart their insides in a slow pull. They would feel their empathy picked at, feel the vast suffering of the city and that potent energy turning their stomachs, threatening to bring them to their knees if they managed to stay standing. The woman didn’t even flinch, her smile unmovable. They could feel an overwhelming weight pressing down on them from above. It came as a rushing wave, but the end result felt like the barrier had expanded and was now pressing down upon them, held back by…something. ”I’m afraid the clock’s run out,” she said, her eyes closing into a grin at her pun considering all the time involved in this tale. ”You can play with me down here if you’d like, but I won’t matter to this timeline if that thing isn’t stopped.”

Riki’s vicious attack proved successful, as she single handedly took apart every single trace of the fused golem, along with some of the built up defenses the other two girls had tried to build, but over all the camp was protected. Unfortunately however, it seemed that the golem was the least of their worries.
As Trunks inspected the object he dared Goten to eat, he got an odd sense about it. Something in it seemed attuned to him specifically, just as the beast seemed to target him and that other Saiyan. Something linked them together. Something was in this matter that belonged to him. Something in it felt like his dad. From there the boys spread out. Ghast wandered off to do his own thing, and the mysterious woman who addressed them had already run off too, with one of them stealing Tarble’s body. The group that had banded together for so long to fight that huge monster seemed to be tied together only by circumstance, as it disbanded immediately after the monster fell, leaving the two boys alone, injured, and vulnerable.
But at least they had their wits about them. They searched through the ruined remains and didn’t find anything truly stand out, but they were resilient in their search, refusing to give up for multiple actions, resulting in something turning up for each of them.
Trunks stumbled across one of the Saiyans Ghast had so viciously sliced apart, and while the scene was quite gruesome the man had a pouch on him with some strange pills. Goten meanwhile found where his uncle had been basically kidnapped after being knocked out, or potentially dying. It seemed the man had dropped something.
As Ghast tinkered with the matter left over from the beast, it seemed to release a puff of dark soot or smoke, the last of the shadows expelling from it.
It was subtle at first, a tone ringing at a constant in his ears. The more he pressed the stronger the pressure became. The crimson eye in the barrier pulled its focus to Ghast, just as the doctor wanted, and its gaze was like a weight bearing down on him.
When the scientist slammed his hands onto the barrier, touching all that immense power he’d find himself latched onto it, like the fools who tried to shoot beams into it, or ate the light, it caught the doctor in its clutches and the world burned.
A white hot poker seared through his brain as it tried to pry open his mind, not to read it but to completely unravel it, to set off a bomb at his core, only it wasn’t an explosive energy but an existence flooding him, filling up his mind and pushing all else out. It wasn’t a possession, but like something was trying to wipe out his existence, his memories, his soul.
All the while the barrier itself flooded into the scientist. It felt like his body had been pulled into a swarm of rioters. Pushing, pulling, slamming into him, threatening to crush him and stealing all control over his body in the sheer mass of it. Each touch shared the other body’s pain, the excruciating agony they felt at the barrier creation, being literally ripped apart by the explosion before being crushed into this place becoming a cyclone of misery.
It was stifling, pushing in on him from all sides like being buried alive, but by bodies, souls, with all their grievances mirroring on him
He wanted to see it? Its purpose? Its nature? The answer was simply beyond Ghast, beyond mortal understanding in the overwhelming power. Sure, like the eldritch beast you could find malice, hatred, and all the feelings that dragged mortality down. It was definitely a source of negative energy, negative power, but there was something else edged into the malice: mirth. It was laughing at him as it set itself out to completely obliterate him.
Hertz brilliant display of power tore into the army of golems like they were butter, and slowed down the assault drastically. The remains of the building were destroyed and new craters littered the already gigantic crater as the whole world seemed to dance in red energy. Despite that, there still seemed to be more golems rising up. It was as if someone was controlling these ones, calling them to this place. Luckily however, at least on first glance, they suddenly stopped, then they all turned their heads in one direction, like whatever had been summoning them just gave them a new direction.

Suddenly there was a pulse, a vibration in their bodies enough to draw their attention up--up and to the storm. The warning was short however, especially for this group already so close to it, as the storm almost immediately began to rush forward like an all engulfing tsunami. Just like that devastating wave it wasn’t exceptionally fast, but it was as if it had already crested and gravity was bringing it rushing down, growing faster by the second.
There was not perimeter between the storm and the Human Camp, so if Riki, Cauli, Yua or Lemon wanted to save it, they would have to move very, very fast.
For those with more distance, they could see it wreak havoc on everything it touched, expanding like a tornado as it ripped what was left of the city apart before it was all engulfed and lost into the storm.
There was nowhere to run. They were still encased in that unbreakable barrier and the storm touched the ground all the way up to it. Maybe underground? But it wasn’t just a storm, but energy rolling off it like lava ready to fill every crevasse and hole it found. There was no escape. They simply had to defend.
Being hit by the wave was like slamming into a steel wall, its massive force acting like a solid, before you broke through it and into the storm itself.
In that, it was like being engulfed in a beam. Its blunt force was replaced for just a split second with the sharp stinging pain of thousands of needles pricking the entire body that faced the blast, tingling like an electric charge before that too was replaced with searing heat. It dug deep into their skin down to the bones and through the muscles with an intensity that stole all their other senses.
And then you were in the storm itself, passing through that second layer by new physical force. It became a chaotic whirlwind, slamming into their bodies with spinning winds. It pushed and pulled with dominant force, each gust cutting into their bodies as much as it felt like it was crushing them.
The final phase would deposit you fully into the storm, likely crashing hard into the ground as gravity suddenly existed again, heavier now, like they were still being crushed.
The people that could sense what the barrier was were all sickened when they inspected it. The pain and anguish of the souls trapped inside it could be physically felt, with an energy that was suffocating and dark. Cauli especially had been traumatized by it this whole time.
They would feel their empathy being picked at, feel the vast suffering of the city and that potent energy turning anyone’s stomach enough to drag them further to the ground in weakness.
Inside the storm you could almost see the souls swirling around, looking like alive bodies being dragged by a car. They struggled and screamed silently, fighting the pull that was far too powerful for them without their corporeal forms.
All through this, pushing past this, the storm center was now the center of the city, and from there was the most concentrated of this power. That was where the souls were being sucked too. Now the storm was simply the creature’s aura held in place for now as he fed on the barrier, the souls that would slowly begin to shrink into it, staying its unbreakable force in the meantime.
If they managed to approach the mental effects would increase. Worse than the Eldritch monster, reality seemed to warp the closer one got to the source. What was left of the King's castle warped and expanded horizontally instead of up. Vertigo rushed in, and the ground seemed to be a constantly shifting, turning on its head as the storm painted the area in a murky blood red fog. At the center they'd see a concentrated point of the storm like a tornado frozen in place, a pure and intimidating wall of energy that felt only of malice and hatred. Inside was the shadow of what appeared to be a man, but every instinct would tell any one who approached: its him or me. If no one acted, everyone left alive was going to be trapped in the hell that was this man, and there would never be any escape. The time to attack was now, before he could attack back.
Unfortunately, the storm didn't seem to affect the golems at all, but rather then continue to try and get to the lab, they began to crawl and run towards the city center.

Cauli awoke with a start, springing to her feet and reflexively summoning her hex blade to defend herself. She stared wildly around, forgetting for several long moments where she was and what had been happening. She felt the lingering presence of Riki in her mind and wondered how long it had been since the girl had been foraging around in there. She struggled to her feet and walked out of the half-destroyed building that she'd apparently had the foresight to shelter in before she passed out. Thoughts of Riki were driven from her mind quite quickly; however, because her view was dominated by the angry vortex of energy that had apparently managed to grow even more angry since she had arrived at the location. She looked around wildly as it began to expand.
It didn't take long to find the object of her search. Whether that was because of some residual connection between their minds or just random dumb luck remained to be seen and didn't really matter at this juncture. Cauli could feel the peaking energy of the storm tearing at the barriers that the girl had erected in her mind.
"Riki," she yelled, trying to make herself heard over the roaring of the storm even as she pointed its advance out to the girl, "we have to run! There's nothing we can do to save these people now!"
Beckoning with her good arm and hoping against hope that the girl followed her, Cauli set off as fast as she could away from the storm. Blood pressure joined forces with the metaphysical assault of the storm and barrier to remove any ability to hear anything going on around her and also severely limited her field of view. It was as though she was a particularly flight racehorse that had been inflicted with blinkers by an owner who only cared about money and winning. The only difference here was that winning meant survival, whereas losing meant ... something else.
It didn't take long before she looked up and remembered that winning was never an option in this race. Even if she stayed in front of the storm forever, which was a big and incredibly unlikely if, she would eventually hit the edge of the barrier and be forced to stop. She would be squashed against the thing and would be dead and tired. Better to seek shelter and hope that she could survive the blast to fight another day. She looked around, understanding from her time in her adopted universe that the taller a building was, the deeper its basement generally ran. Picking the remains of a tower on the horizon, Cauli kept up her speed as she entered the garage of the place. Vehicles, twisted metal from gates and support girders and general masonry all fell victim to her steadfast determination not to die here. When at last Cauli reached the limits of the basement, she curled up into a tight little ball and held on for dear life. All the while she hoped that Riki had found shelter as she had.
Actions 1. Get clear of the immediate storm path 2. Realise that its an explosion in a jar and seek shelter 3-4. Hunker down and try to survive

| Preparing For The Storm Son Gohan

Gohan's brain had overloaded from the successive stimuli, catching up on the strengths and energy signatures of the scattered fighters within Central City's simmering remains all while listening to the android's telepathic message. In his home timeline, Piccolo was the only person he'd known who could communicate that way so he wasn't sure how to respond. Did he just think something back?
His reckless charge through the collapsing tunnel had spat him out adjacent to the Elite. The force of a defensive barrier pushed back the boy's assault slightly, though his charge had still clearly dealt some damage. Gohan skid out from his charge, feet sweeping up a dusty cloud as he drifted around to face the Elite. Once again, they were locked face to face and on nearly even ground: both were petering out, and as much as Vlad and Kale's healing had soothed his body, his energy reserves were not yet recovered.
Thank you, he thought as loudly as possible while staring down his foe's weathered barrier. Incidental or not, without you coming by we'd have been in trouble! I don't know if you can feel it, but whoever this guy was running away to has got to be nearby. We need to get some more infor-
A sudden quaking caught the boy off-guard, coinciding with an inexplicable surge of nausea. Gohan's knees hit the dirt as he collapsed, shards of the tunnel jutting up and receding back into the ground to batter him mercilessly. In his mind's eye he could see a spectral hand, the same color as the fiery barrier which surrounded the city. It reached up from the depths of hell and clawed through flesh and spirit together to constrict around his stomach and throat. The hands became legion and their suffering was Gohan's to bear and Gohan's alone - or so it felt as they dragged him to the dirt. Through blurry vision he saw the elite suffering as well, while his allies were outside of his line of sight.
It was too much to bear for a child to feel the weights of all those lives. He had failed them when he arrived in their timeline. With gasping breaths he puked up the few contents of his stomach as the realization settled in that he had come here with such a selfish purpose. He wanted to go home to his own timeline? What about this timeline, which had been invaded and torn apart? He traversed the timelines as a science experiment, and maybe if he'd been a bit more earnest, all of these people who pulled at him would be alive.
Only one thing kept Gohan's mind from shattering under the stress of a billion screaming souls. That was that whoever had orchestrated all of the terrors going on had shown themselves. The vortex of energy penetrated even into the underground, not enough to cause any damage or pain but it wasn't a sure bet how long that would last. No matter how bad something was, things could always get worse, and if he gave up then it would become his last chance.
Struggling to his feet, the boy's diaphragm heaved with exertion. The very air had grown heavy with loss and pain. Gohan pulled out a small patch of fabric from within his gi and rubbed it along his neck as if to wipe away the sweat and blood with a small rag. In reality, it was an invention he had found in his new home universe and tinkered with; tiny nanobots filled with energy clawed through the pores of his skin and decomposed when they reached his bloodstream. From their artificial lives came a trickle of ki, energy which Gohan himself had stored for emergency use.
"I don't know if this is what you expected to happen, but we need to stop this. Please," Gohan pleaded to the Saiyan cultist. "You can feel it too, right? We're all going to die from whatever your allies unleashed. Is there anything you can tell me about who - or what - it is?"
His voice continued to crack as he asked his enemy for help. They didn't have to be enemies, though - not if they could still stop this. Gohan had the distinct feeling that the elite didn't care about his purpose so much as he cared about opportunities to fight. Otherwise, why would he have been so relaxed about his allies getting wiped out in the tunnels just a few moments earlier? Still, the boy kept a wary eye on his stalemated foe as he sensed out more of the whirling storm above.

Deathly. “She wants me to screw with my own timeline, typical Juturna” Anna said in response to taking Hertz home to her timeline. He was already not from this timeline, and now she wondered what taking him to her own would do. Of course, Anna was down for it. Yan responded, after making an observation on the laughter. A rogue experiment gone wrong? Something was surely happening out of the ordinary. Wriggle asked for help with Tarble, not wanting to carry him any longer and flicked him to life, which Anna smiled at. Always a resourceful man, and a lucky one too. Waters. Wriggle, disturbed by the laughter, still moved about the room with her vision heightened enough to see a saiyan man and a demon girl -- laying in a bloody mess was a crown of some kind. She picked it up and inspected it and its make and could feel the intricate magics woven throughout it. Wriggle squinted as she focused on it, not taking in account of anything else. Suddenly, eyes peered through the darkness as the laughter had become more intense, both Anna and Wriggle gearing for a fight -- their response to swallowing their trepifdations. As their muscles tensed and they looked toward the eyes, they had the sense about them that told the two girls this was it. They found what they were looking for… Still. And just as sudden as they had been ready to fight, they found their bodies failing to respond to their thoughts to move it. The scene flipped, twisted and changed. A woman revealed herselfand what they thought they sensed was merely nothing. It was as if they were staring at a black hole that could not possess energy or presence in this world. A time magician? A time patrol rogue agent? Who was this woman in black? She began to detail just how out of place Wriggle was and her face twisted, and it twisted into anger, trying to grip the crown which was in her hand. She had dropped Tarble upon his wake and so she wasn’t actually carrying him anymore, dropping him like a bag of unwanted luggage. She could not do anything at the moment, but bringing up the very trigger was enough to give cause to her rising power. This was around the time that this Wriggle figured out how to survive only to be weakened enough psychologically to fall into her abusive relationship with a crazed man. All she wanted was to turn those powerful suns into moons and make Namek her new home -- oh how powerful she would be with three super moons. A slave no longer. The woman mentioned Juch to Yan and well Agatha who? Whatever. “Wait the mysterious Juch is part of all this shit,” Wriggle asked and realized she could talk while stasis’d. Anna’s face… It was seriously stone cold. She did not struggle like Wriggle did. When Juch was mentioned, it was like a sacred one had been touched when they shouldn’t. Her face also doted something else. “You. Were you the one that twisted his message to say feed the barrier instead,” she asked out of curiosity right before the stasis ended. Wriggle was ready, like a dog taken off of its leash, but the pulse gave her an immediate pause, like gravity pulled her down by every inch of her body. Anna and Wriggle shook at the pulsating waves of emotional outputs trying to input themselves into their bodies -- Wriggle fell to her knees because of it, but out of spite and anger she grumbled and powered up to get back to her feet. Anna’s knees buckled before she did something very android like that she never did before. She shut it off. It was like an emergency shut off valve to her emotions pipe. Slowly Anna’s facial features drained of anything that was remote to showing she cared about anything. She would have to carefully pick and choose what affected her based on logic and the first logic that she tackled was how Yan would react to Juch’s situation, hypothetical or not. Her eyes shimmered a dead green color, placing threat to her words more than anger. “Where is Juch?” Anna seemed to be asking the woman, but something flooded out of her body like an aura, and it looked almost like a smokey and grainy black one. It was more relatable to looking like the plague or some kind of byte size bug infestation cloud that started from a single line that expanded. Her nanobots were in such a great number that they could be seen flowing and as they did, there was an attempt to connect them between the dimensions of time. It sounded grand on paper just to simply say Anna was utilizing the nanobot tech in her original timeline and now cross referencing it with the nanobots she was trying to release into the wild here, but it was what she attempted. This was new territory, and she expected a low rate of success for that part -- her main goal? The nanobots that connect to Yan’s body in her original timeline could create a tether to this Yan. She specifically forbade the nanobots from trying to fill his mind with power, but she could juice his body and its reflexes with what his future body knew then. Anna didn’t know how well she could do something like this, but this woman in black was a similar anomaly. She just had more experience on her side than Anna did when it came with screwing with the timeline. Whatever was happening above would have to wait. If this timeline was doomed, Anna already had enough of it. She’d pull this poor man and Juch out of the destruction and pay the consequences later. Oh. Hertz too, she supposed. WORDS 974 / 7,651

If the woman was hoping to get a rise out of Yan, she would be thoroughly disappointed. As she pointed her attention to him she was met with an almost smug smile, bleeding confidence and mischief. It was so readable, and so perfectly in character with the Yan most knew: how silly to think he would ever be where he was supposed to be.
But Anna had spent more than fifteen years with him raising Barkley, and while that year in Mind Wars begged to be forgotten, his killing of her was not the only thing it revealed. It showed all the things that got to Yan, all the things he was weak to.
She didn’t know who Agatha was, probably because the woman was telling the truth and she vanished from the timeline for some other reason, but Anna knew Yan would not save some random person. He questioned even saving Juch’s Saiyan, and in this timeline wanted instead to murder and maim to feed the barrier. If he had saved someone, it was someone he had decided was interesting, and when Yan found someone interesting, he made them a person. If you were not interesting, you were less than an object to him. There was no guilt to be had over you, no attention. But when he made you a person, he was susceptible to the same things empathetic humans were.
A person dying was very upsetting. A person dying because of you was all the more so.
Then there was the idea of Juch. Anna probably couldn’t be sure what his emotion was hearing about Juch, but it would not have been that smile. It was something to further upset him, pull at the thin wire that loved to break and lead him to murder.
But he smiled, and it was believable because he was such a good liar, and knew all the smiles he should use. If he ever showed any emotion on his face it was because he didn’t care if anyone saw it, or he wanted you to see it. He wanted Anna to notice when he felt hurt, so he exposed himself. He did not want this woman to notice he felt hurt--that he was utterly furious.
So, he shoved all those feelings down into compartments, shutting the drawers tight as the mantra of ‘I don’t care’ played through his thoughts, until he didn’t. Until there was an appropriate time to scream and chuck things at walls, most likely Juch’s things and walls. Now was not the time.
As if to further prove any thoughts she had on Yan’s true feelings, Yan did not respond at all to the nanobots invading his system or the power up it gave him.
”Oh, no, please,” he said instead, with actual sincerity, ”tell me exactly what my darling Juch was doing that he found so important to stand me up with such vague instructions.” While he knew that the message had been tampered with, he also knew Juch enough at this point to know that the actual message the man sent was likely just as vague. Actually, it was most definitely vague because Juch would have predicted someone might intercept it.
But he did want to know. He hadn’t told Anna what Juch had been doing at that time because when Juch was found at that randomly texted address, he was offline. When he came online, he had no memory of the mysterious Saiyan who approached him and led him underground, or anything that happened while Yan was running for his life above. That was how advanced whatever this group was, which said something about someone tampering with them.
”It’s very possible I’ll want to thank the person who disassembled him.” Well, he could show a little of his annoyance.

Riki saw the storm move. She was expecting it after the last movement, which she didn’t acknowledge but did notice. She may seem like a one track mind kind of gal, but her one track was on fighting, and that required and understanding of the entire battlefield. The speed of this expansion was different than before, and she heard Cauli scream for her, but Riki had made a decision. It was a decision she should have made earlier. She was going in this damn storm. Whatever was fueling the barrier, was inside it. Her gut told her so. If it wasn’t then it was using the storm for something nefarious. She had to go in, no matter how much that would hurt her, and she remembered the hurt.
For the umpteenth time, she pushed her aura out around her, using her massive power level like a force that any enemy needed to first force its way through to reach her.
”Yua,” she called, then she pressed herself low to the ground, her palms touching it before it moved to her will. She moved it so she sunk down, her lowered body got a few feet below the surface with enough room for the android ally to fit in too then pushed all the moved ground and even more into a huge and thick wall facing the storm, but completely over their little hole too, using the golems wrecked body parts, and whatever else was in range to further increase the strength of her barrier.
It was a shame she didn’t care about the town, because with this level of ability, she might have been able to save a lot of people, but Riki was never on that train of thought even though she wanted to be a hero. It was why she wasn’t that great of one.
The steel wall plowed into her barricade, pushing into it and over it in its forcible rush. It chipped and chipped away at the rubble and she pushed her hands up and out to further strengthen it with her will, forming a telekinetic wall under the melting earth.
If she got through that, ducked below in a small section of earth, she could avoid the whipping winds trying to slice into her, and she pushed her body even lower as her hair whipped and pulled. The force was enough to almost pull her out, but she had not let go of her will made wall, and pressed it further down over her to keep her from going up like a cow in Twister.
Then the gravity. Then she regretted her wall, as she quickly released it trying to push up from the ground lest she be crushed into it. Once that passed too, she felt a very familiar sensation. It was like being connected to the barrier or Cauli, but by now she was used to it.
She rose from her hole and looked over the destruction, felt her own body for wounds, then her attention fixed on the center. She could finally sense the beast, the madman behind all this, the source of this power.
She moved back to the allies she could find, especially if Yua hadn’t joined her. ”I’m going,” she said. It would have been wise to go with an ally, or allies, versus risk facing that power alone, but she was going. It was decided, alone or not.
And she went. Zipping through the city it felt almost like she was teleported to where she needed to go, with the only mile markers being the warping of reality as she knew it. She still didn’t care, pushing through it, catching an almost stumble until she could face the monster.
He wasn’t alone either. She sensed that there were still more golems out there, monsters this being could beckon, and she wasn’t having that either.
Riki’s power shot up, forming a golden light in her hand. She formed it like he had formed the barrier, summoning up millions of strands of energy like he had souls. They all swam in this growing ball of energy, the world seeming pulled to it as it got bigger like it had its own gravitational force.
Then she lifted that palm into the air, holding that gigantic ball like it weighed no more than baseball, and then it erupted. Millions of blasts shot out her ball, shooting up and down with trained efficiency as they zoomed towards all the life sucking golems, any creature’s really that shared energy with this creature, with the barrier. They zoomed all throughout the city, striking with pinpoint accuracy while a large number shot forward and down on the tornado itself, targeting the monster inside with chaos redefined into blazing explosions.
Her goal was to wipe out any help to this thing, to save anyone still fighting them, and of course to wreck the being in question, but she wasn’t done. She had been ready for this from the beginning and she was not going to waste this shot.
Her aura flared to new life, giving off electric sparks that danced and ignited in the air. The creature warped reality, so she did too, inflicting a raging chaos on anyone who approached before she took off towards the power like a rocket, aiming to penetrate through the energy that encased him and into the man inside with enough destructive power to force even a god to take a step back.

Hertz landed on the ground back near his cow, and rocked out a bit on the golem corpses, his power rising as it did, grabbing onto some reserved power as he planned for the rest.
But then something different happened. A pulse that drew the robot’s attention to the storm not that far in the distance.
Was it moving?
”Uh oh,” Hertz let out, the music suddenly stopping mid-Chester scream. He looked around, but the place was pretty wrecked, to his own doing. There was the bug guy he used as a shield last time, but he had a feeling that wouldn’t work out a second time, and the monster seemed frozen in place after last time. Instead, his frantic searching found him the damned river bed. Slapping his cow on the backside so it ran straight into the unmoving surface that looked enough like a ground to a cow, Hertz also jumped into the water.
Shifting gravity, and with a rush of ki, he propelled himself deep under water, as deep as he could go without turning around. Above him, the storm washed over the water, sending a sudden current that sent his entire body rushing in the other direction even as he tried his best to swim against it. It pulled him closer to the surface, and the water became increasingly hotter, like the world above had been caught in lava that was steaming into the water and he could feel his systems heating up.
The once still water became an ocean in a storm and he was zoomed around in all directions. Thankfully, as a robot, he did not need to breathe, so the process was like underwater rollercoaster for him, and whether he took damage or not potentially being flung into the edge of the river or the waves crashing onto him with the force of two ton bricks, remained to be seen. However well the water had or hadn’t manage to protect him, he now rose to the surface, in the storm.
Hertz didn’t have the emotional maturity to feel the damned soul spinning about. He didn’t really have a gut to churn. All he knew was the source of all this craziness was at the center. He could go after Anna and Yan, but that idea seemed kind of boring.
”Let us go Bug Knight!” he shouted, pushing his cow out of the river and obviously indicating Nelgae should come with him to go fight the big boss. Whether he did or not, Hertz hopped back on the cow and rode off, following the fleeing golems who were suddenly being attacked by rushing beams of energy. When he arrived at the tornado monster, Riki had already plowed into it.
He jumped off his cow, than patted its head, and a change transformation over took it. His eyes seemed to glow with a raging fire and went it opened its mouth to deliver an angry ‘moo’ fire spit out it and towards the moving energy, before the cow rushed forward in a bull charge into the man hiding away. It was not as crazy impactful as Riki’s attack, but it did have the cow’s massive weight behind it and some new found speed meant to crush, crash, and trample on this new enemy.

The moment the coordinates came in it was seemingly fate that it was also the moment a massive surge of energy erupted. Right form where Mira had exploded, this was another wave of raw power.
Coming down into these tunnels had been their downfall repeatedly. First, it had cost the group Mira due to his desire for power but had also led to almost nothing gained. When they went to the Summit, they had the option of fighting the fused golem and maybe moving on, but they had hoped the tunnel system would lead them in somewhat the right direction. Once again that was not the case. Instead, they had found Bulma, Trunks, a Celestial and some human survivors and nothing more. Even if they had rushed back to the summit and fought the golem at this point it would have been too late. They had constantly made wrong moves to fix the problem and at the same time, not come even slightly closer to finding the one behind this either.
The sensation of what happened was rather clear at this point. A power and eruption of energy that seemed to start from where Mira had exploded was happening once again. This time an indication that the ritual was complete and more than likely that the sun demon was freed and with a surge of the stored energy from all those that had lost their lives.
The Namekian had to act quickly. He was around innocents and now the entire timeline was in danger. He flicked his hand, summoning forth the Angelic Staff that Whis had given him during the training. It was no longer just Whis’ Staff, but it was one with all the power of that staff. He tapped the staff on the ground twice, forming the bubble around him and the group that he was with.
”My version isn’t as good as the real version of this that can survive galactic destruction, but it should provide us with some protection. I’ll need some help though, because we are going up.” The bubble of divine energy that he summoned suddenly was coated in a strange prismatic color. He looked at Bulma, the Celestial and Towa to see if any of them had a way of providing that help that he was asking for.
The demon goddess had seen the Angelic field before and knew what she was in. She also had a feeling she had a way to help, ”If this barrier will work as a way to also form a path up, I can manipulate the ground and use it to form a protective barrier around the barrier as well.”
Shell was focusing his energy on the protective field he had created with the Angelic Staff. It was a good idea though, he looked to Bulma and the others she was with, ”If you can, then follow her lead, the more protection we have the better.”
The Namekian tapped the staff on the ground once more, sending them rocketing straight up. The barrier of divine energy he had created, cutting through the ground as they tried to get to the surface. The ground they were traveling through, quaking and breaking apart from the vicious storm that was created when the demon was freed. The Guardian had many things that made him different from most powerful warriors, but towards the top of that list was his desire to help those that could not help themselves. He was going to bring all these people up from the tunnels assuming a cave in from the storm was eminent. He just had to protect them to the surface and maybe Bulma and her team could get them to further safety. Clearly a dangerous battle was about to take place and he needed to be there to stop the chaos that they had likely had a major hand in creating to start with.
As she had suggested, Towa focused her telekinetic power on the ground they were cutting through. Manipulating the ground and forming it around the barrier Shell had created. The damage that a rocket coming up from the ground would cause loosening even more of the planet itself so that she could create a protective shield around the divine barrier they were in.
The Master Paladin did not go straight up though. He flowed at an angle that moved them towards the newly released energy. With the work that Towa had been doing with the haze and the communications with AURORA and JUTURNA, he had an idea of where that was already. The path was not directly up and instead cut through more surface to allow them to form more of the telekinetic gravel shield around the barrier. The push upwards took some time and effort. Normally the power Angelic travel was fast, but Shell wanted to be cautious with it as well. Not wanting to cause a complete cave-in from his action alone. He pushed through, pushing his own energy into the barrier as he did so that it could hopefully be even more potent at keeping the group he was now with safe.
The surging energy that was released as not a singular wave of power, but a pulsating release of raw energy. It took an extreme amount of focus in order to keep the barrier working as they traveled, but Shell pushed into the depths of his determination to push back against the surging power that was coming at him. The raw power was dangerous for anyone, but he hoped to get this group to the surface even with the constant pressure being pushing against his own utilization of divine energy through the Angelic Staff. He could feel that the barrier with the energy he was able to provide and not that of Whis was not nearly as strong and durable. He could not survive the planetary destruction that the Angel could have, but he could hopefully with the help of the telekinesis of those he was with, find a way to get them out of this mess and get to the fight with the final boss of this timeline alteration.
Cutting through the last pulse before the surface, the divine barrier full of victims and hopeful survivors emerged above ground once again. The last forceful push of the storm clearing the debris they had used to protect the barrier before finally negating the very power that was protecting the ground. Shell tapped the staff once more, recreating the barrier just long enough to protect those that needed that protection. As the storm passed, he fell to a knee drained from the process.
”Get everyone to safety,” She said looking at Bulma and anyone else in that group that could fight. She then offered her hand to Shell to get him back to his feet, ”As for you, we aren’t even close to quitting time yet. We have a sun demon to kill.”
Shell looked up at the scholar and shook his head taking her hand and getting back to his feet. Not wasting time he shifted the staff to a back holster and looked in the direction of the next fight. It was time they do something to stop the problems their little group had caused. Even if it was an accident.
Towa narrowed her eyes as she looked in the direction as well, ”It seems the show has already begun. We better hurry or we are going to be late and not be helpful once again.”
Bolts of energy from a massive power erupted all around, looking to take over the entire barrier and whatever dangers the user had perceived. As the golems nearby were slaughtered by the attack, it provided a direct path. They took off in flight, ready for the final boss fight.
