Would she waver at his speed, something Wriggle did almost instantly as she realized he was gone. She frantically looked around as if to see if there would be a blade to slice her into pieces or not. Anna? She stood still, and she was rewarded for not overreacting as the blade’s swing stopped and instead both of their glares clashed like sharpend blades, his blade of red taking on hers of teal.
Fear had been lossed on this Anna. If death was on its way to her she had been always welcoming of it, and there was disappointment weaved in her gaze. Anna had never clashed with the Cosmic Empire, though she knew of them. At the confirmation she added to his question even after his quick supposition.
“We were never meant to clash,” she said thinking about it. Chaos and Anna had never been in the same place and there was never a test between the two. Before much else could be said, reality bent to Chaos’ will and chains shot out with impossible speeds to grab onto them, causes Wriggle to freak and Anna to grimace at the tight grip.
A portal formed and Anna's eyes opened in thought. She had her nanobots in Yan, this Yan.
Houzi, you are -- Yan, you are resourceful. I don’t know the stability of this timeline, but could you do a girl a favor? Especially with her being such a good taxi driver, she thought to him, the last part said in jest and with a tone to match it.
This is bigger than some sun god, a space time adventure sounds a lot more fun. I need a spy, could you go after him? Learn what you can? Stay in contact with me?
Anna could not move but she wanted to kiss him back on the cheek, returning the kiss he gave to her earlier, but a lame astral projected kiss would do.
"Run," she told him after the kiss. This was his chance to run from the events that would kill that smile he always had for her.
WORDS 323 / 9,003 1-2. Stunned 3-4. Ask Yan to be her spy
Wriggle 5/6. Stunned

Cauli watched in awe at what was unmistakeably Riki's last stand. She wasn't sure whether it was due to the immense power that she commanded or the attacks from the demonic Saiyan himself that had done the young human in. Perhaps it was a little of both. Either way, the twin gold dragons were a sight to see. She concentrated on Riki's energy, promising herself that she wouldn't let the events of her creation be inflicted upon Riki. The human girl would not be left in the void between worlds, she would not be subject to Leviathan's whims as an entity out of time and space. Cauli would find her and she would bring her back.
As the reflected lightning finally reached where she was standing, Cauli screamed the name of her friend and weaponised it against the attack. The pitch of her voice harmonised with the lightning and removed its destructive potential. As the harmless warmth washed over her, Cauli silently thanked her friend for the inspiration and the sacrifice. Where Cauli's destructo disk had mutilated him, the demonic Saiyan began to form a scythe of pure evil. Cauli could sense its energy - she could see the hatred that was being poured into the blade and she knew that this was something that she could bring to the party. As a Fury, her job was to ensure that the struggle between good and evil remained in balance. This Saiyan tipped that balance and the level of evil concentrated in that blade could not be allowed to stand. The Gods of Destruction destroyed things to ensure that the balance was preserved but that was not Cauli's way. Just as she had done to the lightning, she would neutralise this scythe of evil. It passed towards her, sweeping along the ground in an attempt to strike everyone - further evidence of the evil intent behind it. Cauli began to glow white with pure energy. It was not a bright light, not ostentatious like the divine often preferred to be. She was more reminiscent of a glow in the dark sticker that had almost lost its luminous energy so that it could only be perceived out the corner of a person's eyes.
The scythe passed harmlessly through her, its destructive force giving way to the neutralising energy that she was exuding. But just as Mira had found of the hard way how much power was behind this thing, now Cauli was being treated to a similar lesson. She wasn't strong enough to neutralise it completely and so by the time it came back for the second swipe, it was just as evil and damaging as ever. Cauli raised her hex blade to intercept the scythe's blade, drawing her serrated blade and crossing the two together to try and resist the murderous swipe of the scythe. It worked - to a certain extent. Something had to give and when two blades of pure energy meet, the odds are that it wouldn't be one of them. Cauli's legs and the serrated dagger gave way at roughly the same time and she was ploughed into the ground by the force of the scythe.
She sprang to her feet quickly, not wanting to dishonor the memory of her friend by giving up now. Nearby, Lemon spat the word gravity at the Saiyan and something in Cauli recognised what she was doing. Tattoos across her body began to glow as she summoned her power, looking like molten rock as they elucidated which power she was calling upon. This particular technique had been taught to her by Master Grey and was one of his specialities. Cauli used demonic majick to weave her attack together with Lemon's in the hope that she could enhance them both. The crushing force of Grey's Demiton Bomb would press down upon the Saiyan two-fold and with any luck would crush him into an atom that could be subsequently vaporised by the energy output from the remaining fighters arrayed against the Saiyan.

Post by Dr. Ghast on Apr 16, 2024 7:31:27 GMT -5
Evolution PersonifiedGhast wasn't sure how to explain it to himself, but the more he experienced this possessed prince's power and apparent insurmountable energy, the less the doctor thought there was any need to conserve any sort of energy. Heck, even thinking about his own life and limbs might have been quite the stretch, given after all that the group of defiant opponents against this so-called god had done and accomplished so far was...in effect rather paltry compared to what was most likely expected. Sadly, the lack of firepower without relying on his more...destructive techniques also didn't really help the cause, still...perhaps given the whole desperation in this situation, there was little to no choice left in that regard. The mad scientist still contemplated the necessity of utilizing and revealing the maximum amount of power he could exert, but considering the drain this would have upon him, not to mention his complete lack of control over that stage, the doctor decided to risk it all, especially after he noticed how the powerful namekian's own technique was somehow reversed, shattered and spread across the battlefield in a wicked move by the possessed saiyan prince. "Damn barbaric parasite..."Given little to no time to deal with the incoming energy, the mad scientist could feel how the namekian's rebounded energy coursed through his body, practically frying the majority of his internal organs, even if they were but demonic facsimilies of what a humanoid creature should have in order to function, this still resulted in the mad scientist being flung backwards across the ground, sliding on his back in the rubble until he smashed against a piece of concrete still sticking out of the ground. Letting out a ragged cough, the man's strange, purple-colored blood splattered on the ground as he tried to regain his bearings a bit. Alas, it seemed time was certainly not on his side, for without warning a massive construct of energy swooped across the entire battlefield, clearly with the intention of cutting everything and everyone defying this nuissance of a god down to size. Even if it had looked for a moment that the sun god was losing some power, with his arm having been torn off cleanly, this sudden swooping construct didn't do any favors to Ghast's already fragile vitality. All the doctor could do in order to attempt any grasping on any chance of survival was to allow the thin film of energy still surrounding him albeit in a depleted form to cover him a bit. To make sure he left nothing to chance, throwing all his eggs into the basket of keeping himself alive even if it was by a strand of hair, the doctor let out a roar and yelled out for the flames of hell to grant him endurance and fortitude, with blue flames instantly heading his call, surrounding his body as his skin turned gray and stone-like, his frame broadening as it bulked up and gained weight and mass to increase its durability. Then it came, the bladed construct slammed into the film of energy protecting him, shattering through it and only barely being slowed down, while the doctor attempted to slam both his hands against the sides of the construct to further slow it down, hoping to minimize the damage as much as he could...missing an arm or so was still much better than having no head or lower body to talk about... Roaring, grunting, screaming, he poured all his strength into his defense, even if the attempt might have been futile in the eyes of the sun god, it wouldn't be a fruitless or pointless part of the mad scientist's strategy...for that was what his defense was in the end: a piece of a larger strategy. The power of the sun god was without question too much though and losing an arm was probably inevitable in this case...yet even with an arm of his own being torn off, practically resembling the possessed prince in terms of their shared plight, there was the luck that with the heat and energy being expelled at such an enormous amount from the construct, the wound was almost immediately cauterized, leaving the doctor with a shredded stump and not too much overall bloodloss...but still with half his body burned beyond recognition... "Insufferable, useless...bastard of a false god," While looking like a soft breeze could instantly drop the doctor to his knees, strangely the man's energy started to rise and well up, a violent torrent of his own energy whirling around him like a wicked tornado of unbound energy. Despite half his body being burned, his eyes transfixed upon the sun god brimmed with bloodlust and determination. It was not his power, not his monstrous body nor his strength that kept Ghast from falling and pushed him forward, no...it was his will, indomitable and undaunted. Half stumbling and half dragging his body forward, the doctor started to slowly rise into the air, his mangled form seemingly unfazed by the incoming construct, almost as if his body had managed to get used to the sun god's raging power, allowing the construct to simply pass through as if it was but air. Trying to do his best to utilize the new energy he had been given, no matter how long this moment may be, the doctor clenched his remaining hand and tried to collect his energy within his palm..only to accidentally fire off a volley of smalle orbs of ki towards the possessed Saiyan from a distance he did not consider useable...though perhaps the sun god's own demeanor would be an advantage "I'm not the strongest, not the fastest...I'm neither the bravest or most depraved..." Holding up his remaining arm, Ghast's purple energy started to converge above his stretched out arm, held within the open palm of his hand an orb of crackling energy started to become denser and more compact, before even more energy started to cling onto it, the orb growing into a larger sphere, lightning crackling around it as the magneticism of the orb started to form a secondary layer around it. "I despise gods, fools who claim they are the pinnacle of what could and should be achieved," The orb grew larger and larger, the energy becoming denser and more palpable as the doctor rose further into the air, the sphere of condensed, crackling energy starting to cast a shadow within the burning barrier...even if the mad scientist wasn't the most powerful within the ecclectic collection of warriors, there would be no doubt about the fact that whatever strength he had, it should have been significant enough to not be ignored by anyone any longer. "If anyone will burn...behave...and give us the proper example on how to BURN!!" Throwing down the massive orb of condensed, crackling energy towards the sun god, Ghast had to utilize every remaining drop of energy within him to concentrate on the technique he had used, forcing it to maintain its shape, size and strength and avoid it from fizzling out into nothingness...all for the sake of landing a hit on the overpowering being that had been toying with all of them for so long. Seeing Wriggle so fearful after all her previous brazen actions in this adventure was a bit chilling, but then, she explained it in two breaths. The Cosmic Emperor.
This was long before Yan had broken the man’s seemingly unshakable victory streak, and still so shortly after the man’s mercenary work in the Galactic War. Wriggle had likely experienced the latter up close, and it had left its mark even so many years later. Yan hadn’t participated in the Galactic War, but he knew the man’s strength and he knew the man’s reputation. This version of Chaos was more powerful than what he knew, but that just made him all the more intriguing.
In this original timeline, on this day, Yan had treated Chaos as a distraction, a tool, a method to try and accomplish his aims. It showed how little he cared about power, and emperors, and ruthless reputations--and that was the Yan who stood before the Cosmic Emperor now. How could he be used? What interest could Yan garner from him?
But there was an answer to that that Yan had gotten in the original timeline as well. Chaos’ energy was very distinct, and it was made of what scholars called Lost Ki. It was something very close to celestials, but not quite that, tied to something else much study was fixated on. It had quirked Yan’s interest back then, since his own power had been accented with this energy, though he did not broach the topic with the Cosmic Emperor for many moons, triggered instead by the man’s daughter.
In the end, he didn’t care too much about himself and the relevance of it to himself. He needed Chaos to do something interesting to him, or he needed someone he mattered to too. Hayami had done the latter. A fatherless orphan looking in every direction for a father, when the man was right here. He didn’t want Chaos to get in the way of his plans for Hayami, so he staked him out, and finally mused upon those similarities.
His response was intriguing too, and Yan smiled at Anna’s overconfidence.
But that was it. That was where he would have left it. There was no Hayami in his life and he had Juch’s disassembled body to deal with. He couldn’t be bothered to press these closed off time travelers. After so many low rolls luck just wasn’t on their side, only, Anna pressed. She didn’t press Chaos, she pressed Yan, and the monkey looked up to her.
It was early in their relationship. Too early to pick her over Juch, but Yan was always a sucker when someone wanted him, and everything in this Anna wanted him. This Anna, without knowing any of this history was a dream girl brought to life. He looked back to Juch and patted the man’s cheek.
”Take care of him,” he told her, and shifted easily to remove the chains, having experienced something quite like them before, the deity in him too crafty for it. It would likely surprise the former emperor, though maybe it wouldn’t if he did know Yan well.
The monkey walked right up to his turned back and took his arm in his. ”Why not tempt it?” he asked, then went through the portal first, dragging the Cosmic Warrior in Black along with him before the man could get his bearings on the situation. He was already heading right into the portal, perhaps it would all move too quickly to change his destination and throw Yan off track. He also used the speed Anna gave him.

Post by Shell on Apr 16, 2024 13:07:24 GMT -5
Well things were certainly not looking good. The barrier condensed more and more and the battle seemed to be heading down a dark path. Were they on the brink of total cataclysm? It felt like that was the case. Even as body parts were being sliced off and more and more powerful attacks hit the demon, it seemed to only be making him more and more hole. He’d lose an arm and suddenly a fiery replacement was there. They were running out of time to actually take this monster down it felt like. It wasn’t just a feeling either, the power of his attacks were becoming more and more dangerous. The first of which was the reflecting of Shell’s attacks. The good part was that they were from the Namekian and not the demon himself, but it was a shift from the bolts Shell shot at him, to a storm that rushed towards the group trying to fight off the summoned demon. This was not one of those raids were you just had to team up to work on the opponent until the monster was killed, this was something much more dangerous. The results showing on those in the battle as well. The powerful human rushed forward, absorbing the first of Shell’s attacks so that no one else was harmed, but the Paladin had used the attack more than 1 time. It was interesting that his attacks were the one that the demon seemed to fear. It was Shell’s attacks that got the demon to defend with more than his potent aura. Between his attacks and the repeated time trap of Towa it felt like they certainly had his attention more than the others. The fact that they had garnered the demons attention so much hopefully allowed the others a chance to properly unleash on the monster. Shell tapped his armor as the bolts were coming at him, absorbing them back into his energy reserves for now or maybe to be used later. Towa on the other hand had another idea in mind. The demon goddess cupped her hands to the side quickly, then she realized the laws of the Universe did not allow that so, she took the attack head on. Luckily for her, she had a back up for the hindrance in her actions which activated immediately. That opening was short lived though as the demon created an arm to replace what had been removed, but suddenly had a much larger amount of power behind it. It grew larger and larger becoming a weapon large enough to consume the battlefield with a simple swipe of his arm. He did that, not once but twice. The first striking both Towa and Shell. The demon goddess’s flames erupted from earlier trying to consume the monster once more. Shell on the other hand now taking a strike from the monster realized the power of the obvious power from just one strike of the demon. Shell gritted his teeth, focusing his energy into his Paladin protective equipment, channeling his own divine energy into it in order to enhance the defense even further. He stood boldly before the might of the demon, not afraid of what he was facing and instead ready to show him that his words were more than an idle threat. This was not about being remembered, this was about attaining victory. A victory that was certainly not assured at this point, but desired greatly. A determination that would hold up and show resolve even against the fiercest of opponents. Towa on the other hand as the second swipe happened relied on her magical skills to create a counteractive barrier around herself in that moment that caused the swipe to seemingly cut itself in half in order to avoid her even though she was not moving at all. The protection enough that she would still have plenty to fight with even against this overwhelming foe. The only question she really had though, was where did this monster truly come from. She had never heard of it before and being freed so easily made her wonder just what kind of power was awaiting if she truly broke the seal on the demon realm. Was it a power far beyond even what this sun demon had managed to show so far? She had to try to figure it what exactly she was going to be freeing after seeing this monster in action. As she was thinking about this though, she realized Mira was not in a good position already in this battle. His own transmuted flames had erupted when he was hit the first time, but he had done nothing more to defend himself. She turned her attention to her creation to see him simply stand before all the incoming attacks and fall to the ground once more. It appeared he had failed to stand up to the power of the demon in his revived state. Maybe he should have taken a moment to heal, but he was in this for a fight and he had gotten that much right away. That is when suddenly Mira stood back up. Towa’s eyes widened seeing the raw determination from her creation as he forced his way back onto his feet seemingly as healthy as ever and ready to fight. Was this some kind of protocol she had put into him, or was this Mira’s own will acting once again? Towa was not sure, but it seemed like suddenly her creation was determined to kill this demon once and for all. A look on his face showing a level of emotion that was unusual for him. He normally seemed just stoic and ready to act as needed, but now he was showing a level of raw hatred towards this demon that it was certainly usual, but also exciting to see. Was this a new stage of his evolution? Was he developing emotions to go with his raw strength and skills? Was it even a good thing for them if this was the case? ”You must die.” Mira declared. The explosion of his body from eating the lights connected to the barrier that held this being had caused a level of hatred in Mira he had never felt before. He only wanted one thing at this point. Even above the health of Towa or the freedom of the demon realm, he desired this foe to be killed one way or another. Towa nodded at her creation, ”Then let’s do this.”Mira held both hands out, summoning forth a tremendous amount of energy. The orbs formed, shifting to an azure tint before he threw both at the demon, looking to blow him away with each of the double orbs one after the other. Then from the red crystal on his hand another beam of energy rushed forth, looking to connect right with the first two blasts to charge them even further. The demon goddess blasted forward like a rocket. Energy flowing around her as she summoned forth whatever power she could in this moment. She had her first brought back and as she got close, she sent a massive punch to the body of the demon, trying to break him or at least weaken him a little bit for whatever Mira had in store. Towa already knew, her creation was right behind her and she hoped he would be able to capitalize. Mira on the other hand did something strange. In a battle like this he began launching a series of strike. A strong punch to the body where Towa had hit prior. He followed the punch with a ramming elbow strike and then a strong kick and knee to the same spot. As he moved around a golden aura started to flow around him. The Android smashed his other fist upwards into the body once again before following it up with a powerful looping strike to finish off the rush. That is when the golden aura kicked in. A power he was familiar with came over his body flowing that golden energy, but at the same time dripping black and purple spots around as well. He felt another explosion happening to cover the area and knew this last-ditch effort of his meant he had no coming back from this. The golden power that seemed to be forming in the area suddenly rushed into Mira’s body. In that moment the combination of strikes seemed to have meaning. He gave a full thrust launching himself into the air as he summoned forth a powerful dragon shape that followed his punch into the body he had peppered with attacks with right with his fist as well. He fell off to the side, landing falling down once more, unable to act any further and just hoping this would be enough with whatever Towa had in store. He certainly knew where that power had come from around him during his rush. From a short distance away, Towa felt the explosion the one reckless demon had released on the battlefield to harm everyone and not just the target. A fool for sure and something she would likely deal with at some point after this event, but the sun demon was her target. The golden aura she had empowered Mira with had dripped time power from it. Landing on the ground beneath her target, she manipulated the power to form the symbol of the time patrol, but without the loops connecting on either end. It was actually the sign of her organization, the Time Breakers and from it she summoned forth all the power that she could generate, bringing forth a power she hoped would overwhelm the demon once and for all. Shell watched as the others put every single thing that they had into finishing the fight. He knew he did not have much time, but that he had to act as well. He took a deep breath, knowing he had a few options to utilize here, but not knowing exactly what to do. All he did know was that he had one technique in his bag of tricks that he had he felt might be able to do the trick. He likely had the ability to manifest a stronger attack, but not one more potent. His body began to move quickly moving towards the target through the explosions and attacks coming as well. As the blast erupted that the demon goddess created, Shell was now behind the target. The Namekian placed his hand on the sun demons back a dark look on the normally righteous Paladin’s face, ”HAKAI!” A surge or raw destruction energy erupted from Shell’s hand and looked to overwhelm the sun demon right there and hopefully do what it was supposed to do and destroy its target completely. | The Endbringer Son Gohan
1034 | 7893 |
A gasp was forced from the boy's lips as, faster than his senses could keep up, the Man in Black moved to terminate them. Anna, the golden-haired woman, had tried to plant a bug of some sort on the man and it was not turning out to be a good decision. First the bug fizzled out of existence, and then it seemed so would everyone else trapped in the room with the red-eyed figure. Whether a stroke of fate or lingering sentimentality in the man though, it seemed that time had run out in an entirely different meaning. The killing blow hung in mid-air, suspended so abruptly and naturally that it sucked all the breath from Gohan's lungs.
Time's up. Indeed, it was. The would-be assailant gave up on his swing and stepped back. At his command a ghastly chain shimmered into existence in the air surrounding each of the defenders present. They almost seemed spiritual in a way as they tied together and bound energies of every warrior to their time and place, but an alarm began ringing in the boy's head as he started to understand. When the Man in Black waved his hand and conjured a swirling rift behind him, Gohan was certain. This man had no issue controlling time and space, and unless one of them had a skill to rival that, there was no fight to be had here. It would only be slaughter.
But there was still a deeper meaning, too. Yan and Anna recognized the man, though they hadn't done much to stop him, and he recognized them in return. That implied someone from this timeline, or perhaps a neighboring branch of time, had become powerful enough to control the limits of time and space themselves. In other words, there was a solution to Gohan's problem, and it had been achieved by at least one person. An evildoer and mass murderer, but at least formerly a mortal. It was possible.
A confused tear ran down his cheek as the clone dropped the materials it had been gathering, sprinting over to his main body. By the time he arrived, the Man in Black had long since disappeared, closing the portal behind him. Yan had slipped in behind him, seemingly immune to the longer entanglement of the interdimensional chains, but everyone else was standing around dumbstruck.
Electricity shimmied from the nape of his neck down to the base of his spine as Gohan realized they had lost this lead, but the fighting wasn't over just yet. Gohan focused his mind on the clone's energy, allowing it to pull him back into a singular whole outside of the grip of the phantasmal restraints. The reunited warrior had, with no small thanks to his allies Vlad and Kale, been rejuvenated - meaning he carried a burden of responsibility once again. What strength he had swelled in his chest and grew with every beat of his heart, backed by the determination to save the planet that he had felt in Vlad and EP-3's actions.
Gohan's stance widened as he continued to accumulate and refine ki in his belly. The air grew heavy around him as he tensed his body, struggling to focus his energies together while peeping on the battle above using his ki sensing abilities. It was violent and chaotic enough that he had a good idea as to what was going on - half a dozen warriors, all working together to throw their most powerful attacks at the malevolent source of the storm. His sinister energy was not hard to pick out. With that signature locked in his mind's eye, the boy groaned as the weight of his energy began to erode the ground beneath his feet. A spider's web sliced through the walls as sheared plates of stone sloughed out of place. Gohan's usually pale visage had grown saturated as he strained and turned a rosy red, halfway to the Man in Black's eyes.
And then he was gone. Without a word, Gohan popped out of existence in the underground bunker, leaving behind only a whistle as air rushed in to fill the vacuum he left behind.
Where he appeared instead was far less relaxed. A massive explosion had just detonated and the quaking had not yet stopped when Gohan's Instant Transmission technique took him into the heart of the storm. The Sun God's figure was unmistakable when matched with his vile energy, and in the act of teleporting, Gohan let loose a fraction of the energy he had been charging. Space would shimmer and collapse inward on the Sun God as the boy attempted to makes things right. A star should die within the depths of a black hole, after all.
Having felt the chaotic back-and-forth of energy between their shared enemy and the scattered allies who had gathered to fight him, Gohan knew a reprisal would be swift and took immediate countermeasures to avoid being swatted out of the sky before he could drop his full payload. The teenager danced around the chaotic space, assuming everyone nearby to be an ally and leaving behind faded blue silhouettes of his guise. With each step he threw a heavy bolt of ki, yellow and plump and filled with the boy's reconciliation of his personal goals and the goals of the Time Patrol. He had come to learn about time travel - having fulfilled that goal, it was time to pay his dues.
A dozen shimmering Gohans lingered in the battered city's skies, and he crossed over back and forth specifically to make sure the next attack would come from a new spot outside the Sun God's field of vision. When the boy was all but depleted of his strength, he mustered one last crackling ball of light and jumped up straight above the foul summon. With a shout he pitched the orb straight down at the God's head, spinning endlessly through the air in his follow through as he gasped for breath.
He couldn't know how much of a difference he'd make, but he thought of those he had lost on his Earth and those who fought here to protect the timeline, and only hoped his efforts would help tip the scales.

Kale looked at the communications device she found and started pressing buttons, holding it in both hands as her fingers sporadically pressed against the buttons in hopes that it would activate and give her a chance to hear something useful, though the likelihood of that she was unsure. The Saiyans that he was with were dead, though it was possible that there could have been more beyond this base or on the surface above. Kale walked and tried playing around with the device a few more times before putting it away as she delved deeper into the base.
The woman roved around the base before her eyes widened. She felt another energy enter the scene; it was vast, mysterious, and perturbing. Kale stopped in her tracks, looked around slowly, and eventually found the figure, a long-haired man in a dark cloak brandishing a sword. The man didn’t feel like a Saiyan. What he did feel like was a question that Kale wouldn’t be sure how to answer. She looked at the Emperor, then at the others. She noticed more had arrived, a bug girl and…another Saiyan. She could feel the woman’s Saiyan heritage in her aura and she could smell the scent of a Saiyan beneath the aroma of Vanilla and strawberries. The only doubt she had that the woman was a Saiyan was the pink hair, maybe she dyed it, but Kale was too anxious to think too much about it.
She saw the bug-like girl was the most affected by the presence of the Emperor; Kale could relate, though Kale’s fear was far less personal. The Emperor had addressed the redhead that was with him and she watched as the ginger and the Emperor left. She looked at them as they did so and turned toward her remaining company, waiting to see if they had any plans. She considered going up to intervene with what was going on above. However, she waited to see what the others would decide next. She would feel after going up with them as opposed to alone. She continued searching through the base and finding the storage rooms, searching through them to try to find anything that could be more useful than a communication device linked to the devices of dead men. She pulled a bean from her pouch, a small green bean said to have medicinal properties. Rose said to save it for an emergency and use the healing devices if she could, but after all the injuries she endured during the showdown with the Saiyans, Kale deemed it wise to make use of it to heal while they weren’t fighting for their lives at this exact moment. However she was unsure as to how much one bean could do.
Kale ate the bean, chewing it a few times and then swallowing it. She felt her injuries mend, the burns fading, the pain in her muscles dulling and she felt a sudden burst of energy as well. She wondered if this was some kind of magic bean she ate. She was told it worked quickly but the results showed with far greater speed than she had expected, she was grateful for that.
She watched the Half-blood sprung into action, the afterimage technique making it appear as if a dozen of him were flying about while he power rose dramatically and sending a power volley at the Sun God. Kale focused closing her eyes and channeling her energy to allow it to flow through her as it did so earlier. Once she felt her energy flowing properly again she stretched her arms out, taking aim at the deity like figure, emerald energy manifested around him as green light emitted from her palms and gave off an electric vibe. She fired barrage of Emerald ki blasts at the Sun God, the sudden forcefulness of the blast nearly causing her to stumble back before she steadied herself, seemed whatever had restricted her ki almost made it harder for her to manage controlling it. Kale focused and aimed the rapid blasts at the Sun God, hoping that she could help bring down the entity that was threatening the timeline. She just hoped what she and the others did it would be enough.

Post by Riki on Apr 17, 2024 21:40:15 GMT -5
In this universe, one found quite often that gods underestimated mortals. The gods, the angels, the Kais--they were constantly surprised by the strength and resilience mortals showed themselves capable of. Sometimes they went beyond what a god could do, and other times they simply hit a threshold the god deemed untouchable by such a fragile species. There was constant surprise, because they were not the gods who actually created reality. In all truth, they had absolutely no idea what mortals were capable of, and only knew by the long history of what they’d managed in the past. Before this moment, eight years before our current timeline, no one had done what Riki did now. It was a feat impressed upon by many as the years carried on, but it was beyond the anyone in this timeline’s expectations. There was no event such as this before now. So the Sun God was surprised, but not shocked, because he had already realized that the ones who challenged him were not from the universe he was conscious of. They were beyond that, and he had a sense of the future. He had a sense and understanding of mortals not all gods bothered with. Her first strike hit him and his face lit up with something like pleasure. It was not the face you wanted to see on an enemy, but the flames that burned hotter at her point of contact suggested he was harmed--he simply found a joy in that harm. It was a bit joyous. A beautiful symphony of chaos in motion, and that destructive power was something to cherish--but he wouldn’t be taking her next attack head on. Jumping into the air with his godly speed, that monstrous aura flared up in his defense, his arm tucking behind the one made of flames so that it fought back both the energy and the physical force of her. It pushed him into the air. His other arm burned. Still on the defensive, hyper alert now in the face of such danger his eyes only had to flicker to the tiny dog costumed robot to already know what was coming. Riki’s body fell and the beam came towards him and he threw his hands out, pushing his massive aura to meet the beam like a struggle. It pushed back on it, devouring some of its power before the attack momentarily engulfed the Saiyan body. And even before that energy dissipated, Yua was attacking. If she meant to get there first, she obviously hadn’t read that he immediately fired, and it was lucky she too didn’t get engulfed in it. She hit all his vitals on point, and even the enforced Saiyan body was sliced, but they were still thin considering her strength, and the flames seemed to mend him back together as the lava had to the stone golems. Nelgae acted now, latching onto the god to hold him in place while his aura wasn’t as dangerous. He moved to rip the bug off him, but Yua was in action, sending plasma into the place she stabbed, into the burning flames Riki had started, trying to make a bonfire. Cauli’s attack came next, taking an opening Lemon was not able to in her failed dodge attempt and the weight of heavy gravity slammed down on him, causing his back to hunch slightly, and Ghast’s blasts to bounce off him with cracking impacts. He likely would have said something to Ghast’s yammering, being the talkative villain that he was, but Mira decided to deafen the doctor’s words as if sensing his oncoming betrayal. As the two large blasts powered towards him however, the hunched form of the Saiyan straightened, and her threw what he used for arms out, sending the blast careening off, though not without further wounding him. But that did nothing to deter the fallen android. His rage let him see nothing else, and his physical assault slammed into the once Saiyan. Each strike still felt like hitting steel, only with more strength now, where you could almost feel it warp under that contact. If Mira could feel anything at all, he would feel heat. Each strike evoked more heat, more flames. It was enough to draw pools of sweat from the average human, and burn the android’s already ruined body. The more he struck the more his fists began to burn, gaining their own flames before he poured the last bit of energy he had into one. Ghast’s attack came rushing forward, and so did Mira’s finish, creating a huge shockwave that was immediately overwhelmed in the doctor’s destruction. Once more, the sun god hunched, though this time his body shook with laughter, though to some satisfaction, it was immediately cut off as he spun to face Shell. If he meant to block, that didn’t happen, and the Namekian’s palm came to point directly at the demon’s chest, where the largest of flames burned. It was the fire that was eaten up first. The red and purple flames that burned so wild and angry off of all his wounds danced to their height only to break away into thousands of tiny purple particles. At that point, the demon looked more like a demon now. His whole body was burning, his limbs coated in that fire that distorted his limbs, and it all lit up into that sparkling mass of nothing. Its power was pulled at by the destructive wave, and the whole monster was shimmering. The sun god had one hand still made of flesh, and it shot out before Shell could pull away, grasping the Namekian’s wrist was crushing force that he didn’t even seem to be trying to enforce. It was a swift strike, made as he unleashed his power and thus unavoidable if he wished the attack to go off cleanly, but now, Shell was held there. ”How childlike,” he said, those orbs of barrier-like energy that made his eyes burning into Shell like a god leaving its mark. Something else might have happened, but at that moment, Gohan rushed in. It was sloppy, as many of his inexperienced attacks had ended up in this adventure, but the crushing weight shoved the Sun God forward so his chest touched to Shell’s palm, and the greatest concentration of destruction energy, causing the whole body to erupt. Yet, those eyes were unperturbed, the stolen Saiyan’s face was not at all angry or fearful. He smiled viciously at Shell, as if the whole thing had been a game to him, that he never cared about winning. ”Until we meet again, Child of Destruction,” he told him, and Shell would feel no doubt in his whole heart that if he lived long enough, if he took on Beerus’ mantle and lived on this path of Destruction, he would meet this god again. They were not destroying a god, but simply his vessel, and this monster would live on, untouched by time or mortal qualms. A volley of blasts slammed down, and the grip the monster had on Shell’s arm tightened, holding him there in the line of fire as Gohan’s attacks hit them both. With the gravity also threatening to crush the already wounded Namekian, he wouldn’t be awake to see the barrier shatter, and the entire monster dissipate into sparkling purple lights.
The Cosmic Warrior in Black’s hand tightened on his blade when Yan made contact, but he did not immediately slice the monkey down, and when Yan attempted to drag him forward, he merely looked over his shoulder to Anna. ”Until we are,” he said simply. Maybe in her timeline, they would never face each other. She would never be one of the idiots ignoring his warning signs on Toffit to harass a man who was simply trying to figure out his life. Maybe they would never have any contact at all. But now that had changed, what was meant and what would be meant going forward…well, everything changed. He let Yan go in and followed, but only after letting out a sigh anyone who knew Yan Cass had let out at least twice. ”Anna, the mission is complete, and the timeline has been restored. Use your scrolls to get everyone out of there that doesn’t belong,” an order came, bleeping over like an end game message in a video game. This included Kale, who decided to try and rob the supply room which had…supplies. She had her pick of many useful things that could potentially help the wounded above including medkits, med patches, and other useful things that could have saved even the most direly wounded people--as long as they were able to use it, or have someone use it on them which unfortunately none of the Saiyans had. It would cure her ailments at the very least. There were also a lot of weapons. Like a lot. Not just guns and bombs but swords too, as well as other gear. A small treasure trove to be sure, but they probably shouldn’t take things and further disrupt the timeline. Right? She probably shouldn’t disrupt the timeline by editing her actions after rolls were done either. And maybe pay more attention to the rules next go around instead of breaking them four separate times.
”It appears they saved the timeline.””For now,” came the reply, untroubled by this new development. ”It was always a risky plan, but it's been useful to see what Chronoa has on hand.””They’re quite powerful.””As we hoped.”
Back with Time Patrol, the kai in question frowned. Chronoa was able to keep an eye on the agents that agreed to work for her, meaning she saw quite a bit of Anna’s antics, including coming across that strange woman and an incarnation of the Cosmic Emperor that appeared to be quite stronger than the one lingering on Toffit from where she pulled the patrollers for this mission. Judging from the Sun God’s power, and the waves it pushed into time itself, she could easily conclude that the monster would have torn apart the fabric of reality, and completely destroyed that timeline. Was that the aim of her enemy? To destroy? If so, why had they gone out of their way to remove the Cult of the Sun? They still only had so much knowledge on that organization due to this diligence. Was that the point? In case they failed? So they could use them again? In the end, Anna hadn’t been a very diligent Time Patroller, leaving behind the woman and letting a version of Yan Cass run off with them, hoping for his allegiance. Chronoa had checked on the many Yan Cass’ throughout the many histories and this was too large of a gamble for her to support. Anna would be scolded for sure. If only someone had gotten there sooner… If only someone had been able to press those warriors into answering more questions… But they were the Time Patrol, and they didn’t linger on what ifs. The time had passed, there was no changing it. They could only move forward, even if for them, that often meant going back.
