It was odd, despite everything he had done...the others had done, this beast wasn't even nowhere near needing a breather. The scan didn't lie, the eldritch monstrosity still was far from being beaten or even winded and this either meant it was much tougher than it seemed to be or those it had been facing off against had been slacking off big time. The doctor mulled it over, his mind racing as he tried to figure out if he was in any way to blame for this, realizing that in the end...he hadn't even removed all of his limiters yet, meaning even if it was subconsciously, despite it all...he had yet to acknowledge the eldritch beast as a credible threat to his survival. Shrugging his shoulders, the doctor thought about it and dismissed the idea, if he subconsciously did so...it simply meant the beast wasn't a threat...period.
A chuckle managed to escape the mad scientist's voice box when hearing the wailing cacaphony of screams erupting from the beast's many mouths when the beam of energy he had fired at the very least seemed to leave a mark in the form of an eye popped out like an overripe zit. However, this momentary feeling of joy and elation faded away as quickly as it had surfaced, with the beast's cries and wails turning to a seathing anger and rage made manifest in what could be described as a desperate and dangerous attempt to clear the field of what had been most likely a bunch of pests and flies it had to contend with.
"Now THAT...is worrisome," The twisted scholar muttered when he could not just simply feel, but even see the energy of the beast shifting and concentrating. The eldritch beast's strange movements, the straining of the pupils combined with the rather suspect release of what looked like seeds or spores being dispersed within the wind all alerted the mad scientist about something big waiting to happen and as he could not shake that feeling, it quickly became verified by the sudden onset of not just one or two, but a multitude of explosions, with those spores basically covering the entire ruined field, it was less of a massive explosion and more like military carpetbombing. "At least this beast isn't taking any chances...I can respect that. Showing a level of intelligence and competency such as that is...at the very least most remarkable."
Realizing the threat this release of energy and explosions could mean for himself, the doctor wasn't left with much choice, purely reacting on instinct as he raised both his hands on each side and molded his own energy into a solid and visible barrier around himself, bracing for the impact and who boy, there was one hell of an impact when Ghast himself could hear the rumbling of the explosions all around him, each shockwave reverberating within the barrier and making the barrier itself ripple and shimmer, even crack in several places while the doctor had to practically dig both his feet into the ground just to avoid being blown away due to the air being simultaniously blown and sucked into different directions because of the explosions.
Certainly strained and if he had still had the olfactories to produce sweat, Ghast would've done so profusely, but for now what he could feel most was a horrible nagging pain throughout his bone-like frame, every joint he had creaking from the strain he suffered and strength he had to exert just to avoid being flung into the distance. He was certainly annoyed, perhaps even pissed, but at the same time, his scientist nature couldn't be restrained, for the more of this monstrous, eldritch beast he got to experience, the more he wanted to put it into a container and ship it to his laboratory...preferably the one on Kelioux.
"I see...not done yet, are we?" With his barrier still somewhat standing, the doctor's own mutation allowed him to instinctively jump back a bit when he could feel the ground underneath his feet sink and then burst, a leap of faith in a sense had lead him to jump towards the closest larger piece of debris he could find in order to try and find some cover from the sudden upchuck of energy, bursting out of the ground like some massive, shadowy geyser. With his breathing increasing in rate, the doctor understood that perhaps now...he did think he had been a bit too overconfident in regards to handling the beast. "All things considered, I did get to analyze some things on this interesting specimen...but I probably won't survive anything like that again while holding back too much."
With his decision made, the doctor let go of any and all restrictions he had still been utilizing upon himself, allowing his energy to swell up to the maximum his body could handle without having to delve into his more obscure forms. With his frame bulking up slightly as his energy burst out of his body in a grayish-blue colored aura, the mad man took in a deep breath through his rebreather within his helmet, fully accepting the fact that with the saiyan prince being on the backfoot too much and the android being an incalculable variable, Ghast's best bet was to fully support the youngling with the golden hair to the best of his ability.
To do so, he truly needed to take the beastie serious and as such, he couldn't waste too much time. Snapping his fingers, the demon scholar conjured up something most suitable for this job; for the small shard of what appeared to be obsidian glass that now rested within his left hand had the strange and remarkable property to amplify the speed in which the doctor could channel and concentrate his energy tenfold. Leaving nothing to chance, the mad scientist held both hands upwards on both side of his body, channeling his energy through both arms, concentrating it into two small spheres of dark blue energy within the palms of his hands and when the shard of obsidian vanished from his hand, the doctor knew clearly that he had taken enough time to maximize his technique's power and effect; throwing both his arms aside, launching the energy into two dark blue beams covered with bright blue flames.
"Let's see how you react to this," Utilizing his telekinesis to steer the beams around, the mad scholar made them arc widely as they climbed into the air before making them spiral together when he threw down his arms, forcing the two beams to corkscrew straight down towards the topside of the eldritch beast, hoping that it would at the very least feel something akin to pain or fear if these two beams were to hit it...

Anna had rushed to their ‘aid’, which Wriggle herself did not care much for. When Anna detonated, keeping them all safe, she took note and knew that this was part of some greater plan -- they were protecting these saiyans for a reason or another. Deception. That was pretty hard to do when there were races and things outside of the saiyan race also in the mix, after all Nelgae and Wriggle were approached by them, which showed its problem plenty enough. While the explosion was going off, that weird as hell robot touched her and she flinched in the most princess-like way. How dare that thing put hands on her. She had half the mind to kick him or swat him away but he was gone as fast as he was there. The Saiyan Elite came up and Wriggle quieted her anger that was stewing. She was growing tired of the deception and playing along with the stupidity of these primates and her throat began to itch. Her mind was searching and searching. Maybe she should just sing them all into oblivion. But, the respect for Anna held her back… Until that stooge said something… something crazy. “Excuse me,” Wriggle said while standing up on Nelgae’s shoulder. Her level of power buffed out aggressively with a tiny popping noise and her appearance shifted from its “I’m sorta a bug lady” look to her complete full on “I’m a fucking bug Queen” look. Extra appendages. More flared out antennae. Body more solid and scaly. Her hair had become more like wings than actual strands. “I can go along with many things, but you will not mistake me for a slave. I am Queen Wriggle of the Nightbug and Klaxxi Unison, you lowly piece of shit monkey.” Anna looked over to Wriggle and Nelgae wearily, and then to Yan and Hertz. “Wriggle, calm down,” she said while bringing her gaze back to the Klaxxi Queen whose wings buzzed now as she started to float. “No. Fuck that. I have grown tired of the position I have always been in. When I destroyed my planet, I dismantled myself with guilt and became a slave of myself. Then soon a slave to the PTO… A slave to a crazed man…, Kelioux experiment, and even an experiment to you to see if I could be reformed. I NEVER felt in control and you are all fucked in the head if you think I’m going to let you bring me down again and again.” The story switched. Anna had been carrying the torch of aggression with a calm demeanor so far. She displayed levels of controlled power that surely could be the key to victory, but now Wriggle’s voice had become louder and more prevalent. “I am the fucking Queen,” she said finally before zapping upward in a blur to some. Her tiny body was just a dot. “Nelgae, you aren’t a knight if you don’t survive! Be useful and do that.” Despite being tiny, her voice was loud and booming, no doubt a side effect to her more recognized songstress talent and being able to carry her voice to where she wanted it to go. All four of her arms pointed forward , forming a neat circle in-front of her and the area around her in the sky darkened. The crimson red hue of the barrier was losing its shine in favor of a greyscale of power, being Wriggles climbing power. She had never before shown this much power and those nearby could feel the climb of its power. “Shit, she regressed. She doesn’t have control over her anger anymore,” Anna said as she stepped back toward Yan. “I need to stop her,” Anna said as her own power rose up to match Wriggle’s. As Anna’s power was climbing, however, Wriggle decided not to leave any time for it. “You won’t be fast enough!” A dark ball of energy shuffled into existence between her hands and she pulled both sets of them back like she was cocking a gun back. Anna slung her arm back creating a blast of energy that she fired with her next sling, the energy blast much bigger than Wriggle was --- and Wriggle grinned. “Fuck a blast,” she yelled and shoved all four of her hands forward and a gigantic beam of pitch-black energy rushed down to the blast and clashed with it. There was a second, a split second upon the impact that stopped the beam from advancing, which would give Anna the time to try and grab onto Yan and try to escape it. “We have to phase. I did it already and not too long ago.” If Yan couldn’t phase, she was going to hug onto him to protect him, knowing that her body could take this level of power better than he could. Hertz -- well Hertz and Nel had to figure it out and those saiyans didn’t mean anything to her enough to stress. The blast gave up, with the beam slamming forward directly toward the saiyans and before impact with the ground Wriggle yelled, “Fuck you!” The impact would send several waves of energy outward that stretched for countless miles, destroying everything with each ring of energy that pulsed outward, and Wriggle showed no care in her eyes if anyone was hurt from it. Why would she care? She was the fucking Queen. 892 / 2,885 1-4. Charged Chou Canosama [DR12.5][20% ki][5.9m PL]

Well, Yan had asked the Saiyan stooges to do something to mark their claim but even he flinched at the word ‘slave.’ He didn’t know Wriggle all like that, but Nelgae was an Arlian champion. There was no way his pride was going to allow such a remark, nor should it. If Yan weren’t so outclassed, he would have responded faster, but as it was his claws had barely extended when the little queen on the champion’s shoulder went to action.
A bug queen. That seemed quite suiting for Nelgae’s companion, and thus the insult was even greater. But then Anna said for her to calm down.
”Are you joking?” Yan asked her with a look of disbelief. Anna supposedly knew Wriggle. She had claimed to trust the woman, but as soon as she got righteously offended, that trust snapped like a thin wire. Even as Wriggle’s power shot up beyond his imagining, she responded to Anna. She wasn’t so rage blind as to forget they existed. This wasn’t Anna’s insensible rage, and if Anna had just followed through with her trust, if she gave her support, Wriggle just might have done a more targeted strike. Anna knew her better of course, but if she did and Wriggle would not have, then her time would have been better spent manning a better defense than stopping her.
Alas.
When Anna said she was going to stop her, Yan reached forward, trying to yank her back. It wasn’t like he had the strength to do it, but the more present Yan definitely would have knocked that blast completely off target and faced oblivion. No matter the point in time, Yan was never one to stand in the way of retribution.
Which honestly was what Anna deserved at this point. Well, that and she must have forgotten: he wasn’t actually good at dimensional traveling. At all. Using such a thing to dodge was not often in his skill set. He pulled it off here and there, but he acquainted any of those successes to luck, and it was never his go to defense. Well, dodging in general wasn’t Yan’s go to defense, but definitely not by dimensional phasing.
Anna moved to protect him again, and he let her. Closing his eyes he breathed her in, taking in her scent and her warmth to fuel his mental focus then pushed his mind out with as much force as he could possibly manage. Wriggles attack would crash first into that telekinetic wall, fueled by Yan’s thirsty desires, which were very strong, before hitting Anna and tossing them both into the rubble—or what was even left of the rubble.
He pulled away from her in the landing, bouncing hard off the ground and using his ki to snap him back on his feet, before he took off slow as sin into the chaos before anyone had time to recover. He couldn’t move at his normal break neck speed, but Yan always recovered faster than anyone, able to run at full speed half dead, and he didn’t even let the attack fully settle before running back into it, pinning down the strongest of the seven Saiyans, Nach, his claw already extended and glowing with destructive power.
He might not have had power level, but he always packed a punch, or a stab, and just as he did to Trunks on this day, the monkey shoved that claw towards the Saiyan’s stomach aiming to pierce through, his ki pouring down his arm to leave a beautiful present inside. The explosion happened as he pulled back, and he let it throw him, as he often did back then to escape from an easy range for someone much faster than him.
He wasn’t fast. He wasn’t strong, but he always tried to make the best of timing, and dealing with Wriggle’s destruction, if he hadn’t been attacking a corpse, the elite would not have time to prepare. That’s all he could aim for.
The explosion pushed him out of the dust, and even without assessing his injuries, Yan saw Wriggle still in the air. ”What is it they say?” he called, about to grab slang that didn’t even exist as strongly this far back in time. ”Slay, Queen~”
If this was followed up by coughing up blood, or some other understanding of deadly injury, well…He was always both easily satisfied and never satisfied.

Cauli opened her eyes slowly, blinking to try and focus on anything or anyone that would help to get her bearings. It didn’t work. Arrayed in front of her was a mass of shapes and colours, some in focus and some not but none of it generated a spark of recognition in her brain. Sounds were muted, as though she was missing some key pieces of wiring that would permit her senses to function as normal. She shook her head again, more violently this time but still to no avail. She rolled over onto her stomach and tried to get up, the movement sending fiery pain through her nervous system from her shoulder – the first indication that something had gone wrong. This new pain broke the dam that her brain had built around the pain from the multitude of burns that afflicted her. She collapsed, the movement miraculously occurring in such a way that her shoulder slipped back into its socket. The crunch and subsequent impact against the ground made her eyes roll back in her skull as darkness threatened to overwhelm her once more.
She groped for a small bottle at her waist – not the ki potion that would have a negligible impact at this juncture but the small clay bottle that contained a different kind of potion that she liked to brew herself. The rice-based concoction would have an inhibitory effect on the misfiring neurons that would either cause massive lesions on her brain or help to insulate it against further damage. She took a quick swig, the sweetness of the sake making up for the fact that it was room temperature instead of heated or chilled.
Favouring her injured shoulder, Cauli tried to rise again and again she found the ground rushing up to meet her. With the next attempt, she struggled to her knees before resting. Still not possessing sufficiently of her mental faculties to recognise that there were people around and one of these people had saved her life, Cauli called out in a tongue that few mortals would be able to comprehend. A primordial demonic language comprised of guttural sounds and weirdly ethereal echoing syllables emerged from her mouth, asking simply for guidance. It was a prayer of sorts but not directed at any particular deity, demonic or otherwise. Translated into common would remove much of the context, but it would say roughly “for Christ’s sake, how am I going to get out of this one?”.
Cauli was incredibly suggestible at this point, and would dedicate her entire being to whatever was suggested to her by anyone in the vicinity. Were she sufficiently aware of this, she would hope for the Time Patrol’s sake that it would be an ally making the first suggestion.

Shiny, shiny, shiny!
Hertz was on his one track mind, and it probably didn’t help that in this instance his mother was encouraging him, likely spotting the potential technology before him. This helped things however because when he pulled out the device he didn’t seem to know what it was.
He moved it to his ear. ”HELLO?” No answer. He smacked the device a few times than brought it back to his ear. ”HELLO??”
This time his call was answered, or so he thought it was because Wriggle’s booming voice felt like it was going straight into his ear canal and he was quite confused it didn’t quiet when he pulled the device away from his ear. It took him a few seconds, but then Wriggle’s voice wiggled deeper into his ear.
Wriggle was not singing, but her voice was like a song, hard hitting in its rage and Hertz immediately began rocking out, dancing perfectly to the melody her shouts bled out. The dancing led him back to Nelgae and he jumped up meaning to spin only to bump right into the bug’s back. In his surprise he latched onto the bug’s hard shell, just as Wriggle’s attack was unleashed, causing him to use the bug as a makeshift shield, taking advantage of whatever defence the Arlian Champion used.
His cow was very smart too. Using his diving abilities, it zoomed into the air going in an arc over Wriggle’s head as she fired making the whole attack more comedic if everyone on the ground wasn’t about to die.
Whether he was saved by Nelgae or not, Hertz dropped off the bug’s back, slapping the ground with his butt before he looked back to the device. Giving it one more big smack, his own circuits shooting open, the device booted up and his face split into a wide grin.
”HELLO DOCTOR!” he shouted, jumping up into the air. He landed on one of the Saiyan’s head and immediately moved into a spin, then back into his dance, though more discombobulated now with damages, as he stomped over the injured or dead soldiers, still moving surprisingly in great synchronisation to the flow of how Wriggle had been speaking, finding the melody very easily.
”Fuck a blast!” he sang, before looking up to Nelgae. ”Bug lady rocks!” He said that as another circuit shorted, sending a few more sparks from his dancing joints.

It was certainly one thing for the insectoid to just stand by, and allow the monkey folk to speak. He and Wriggle had slain and eaten their fair share of Saiyan kind already today. But right now, he seemed to get into a mood. The words were certainly something that tugged at him, and brought the giant Kalxxi to a new mood. He had been content to let the two of this time take control of the situation. He'd still get to eat his fill once they started combat again. But to be called a slave by such a lowly primate? His crimson eyes flashed at that, even though it was just a foolish stooge that had called them slaves.
But it was the Queen of the Klaxxi that brought her own rage to bare first. Nelgae was probably older, and so harder to bring true rage out of. But Wriggle had plenty of umbrage to take to the word slave. A word that didn't even register to Nelgae. He had never been one, but he was sure that the woman that he served under had plenty to say about it. He narrowed his eyes, it seemed that situation had been flipped. Anna, who had just displayed her aggression, now tried to flip the script to calm.
Not for the Queen. Her anger rushed through the area like a tornado of fire. That word must have stung her. But it was her past that he was more interested in. He knew some, but not the full extent. Yeah, that stooge had made a huge mistake.
The scales tipped on her anger meter, and that meant he was about to need to do something drastic in defense. Luckily she didn't transform, as the Klaxxi Royal Guard strode forward as he left behind the grey carapace and ripped into his crimson form, the true form of a Royal Guard, and his truest strength. He required this to be a more effective defense, the Klaxxi was actually more solid than ever, as he had strengthened his carapace instead of his offense. Along with the crafted armor that was on him, he surmised this should suffice with a block offered as well. It was around this time that the tiny robot - the one with the cow - started to dance. Madness, but perhaps madness was all that they had left.
He wanted to witness her splendor more than was necessary, but he wouldn't take the chance. Not with her in that height of power. The insectoid, thus far uninjured, crossed his and deployed his own telekenetic barrier in a bubble that surrounded him. It might not be as effective as a regular barrier, but the point was that it would take the first brunt of the damage before he did. And then he screeched. "Yes my Queen!" Power flared as Anna was unable to stop the Klaxxi queen. The ground was reduced to practically flattened waste, dirt pounded to loose as the insectoid was launched from the earth.
He took that, rode the wave backwards as he emerged from the smoke like a phantom as he glared towards the elites that remained, as he rushed at what their corpses might have left. It was unlikely much remained alive, maybe Nach. But the sudden attack shouldn't give him time to breathe. Nelgae would quickly scavenge for any repair parts for the device that he had noted the little guy had. He was sure most anything could work. He went towards Hertz, and then looked back for his Queen. A lot of "fucks" thrown around today. None of them aimed at her allies or enemies.
That was to say, none were given to anymore but herself. The selfishness of royalty, must have been something he had unlocked when Wriggle became Klaxxi. And he was fine with that.
"Perhaps anything here could help fix it?" He offered a clawed hand towards the robot, and if it allowed, might try to help fix it. After all, insects were also attracted to shiny things. When they weren't too distracted. The bug didn't help for long though, as he jumped into the air after his queen to give her the perch back. Even if he were injured - likely his arms that had taken the brunt of the pulsated damage - he would still offer her his shoulder. He had hidden away beans (or just one, hard to remember) in the fold of his carapace he could reach with a smaller limb.
"My queen, that was excellent. Don't let people call us inferiors." It was praise, but aimed, and something she might note. Nelgae usually just gave her blanket praise, but he had noted the bitterness of those memories. It was high time that he started to pay more attention. Even if he was wounded. He remained in the form to show the Saiyans that his resolve would never be weaker. And he could become stronger if he powered up.

Lemon bit her lower lip and looked around her first, as everything seemed to have settled down for the time being. Her hair still stood on edge now that she was so close to the wall of souls, but she had escaped like a mad animal, and stood up from the mad dash, slowly and cautiously. It wasn't like her to revert like that, unless she felt death on the horizon. She swallowed hard, and then she tilted her ears about, and swiveled her head. She wanted a sense of the place before she lost it to the dullness that she placed on those instincts when around those not familiar with her.
And then she caught something... the sound of humans! But weren't most of the humans dead? The demoness was concerned, but moved swiftly towards her companions, and paused when she saw the dark clad warrior, someone she didn't know at all. She paused, noted that there was no aggression in the stance, and then quickly moved to stand besides Riki as she growled, "There are humans still here. Still alive, I mean. They're to the north..." She gestured in the direction as she wondered about the stranger, but moved towards Cauli, intent to try and help the other demon, but the stranger placed a hand on her shoulder.
Lemon growled, and realized that the Scouter in her eye was still disrupted, but that was little wonder near that wall of souls. She assumed that that was the reason for the disruption, in any case. "First we should cure them." Lemon didn't have any sensu beans on her though, and it made her hold some regrets. But she hadn't had the chance to take any with her, since she had came here directly from Ghidi Prime. But it seemed that the stranger had the same plan. Though she needed to mooch one off of Riki. Cheap bastard.
She motioned for the group, as she was uncomfortable with the stranger, but by now she had a name. She wasn't nearly as fast as her companions, but it was likely that Cauli would still need some time to recover from the explosion. She wasn't in a hurry, but it was time for them to get a move on. Their group had already dealt with a group of those golem things, and Lemon wasn't sure if they'd run into more. Before she started that walk, she said out loud, "I'm going that way, but if you need more time, perhaps you should take that time?"
It wasn't an order, she was hardly the little group's leader, so she phrased it as a suggestion instead. After all, arrogance led to most of her pitfalls in the past. Especially those times that Lemon blacked out. The holes in her memory were the worst on Ghidi Prime, and that was part of the reason that she traveled. With a lot less frequency, she felt that she lived a better life with more of it able to be recalled away from her icy home planet.

Well, things had certainly gone in a strange direction, but Yua didn't have the time to be "nice" about things. It was clear that of the two, the person in the human's arms was not exactly on death's door, but she had a lot of problems with her body. In most senses, it was impractical for her to fight if they were ambushed, and with the burns, she would already be in a bad spot. That wasn't to mention the ribs and concision. She looked at the human, and she was not exactly as badly hurt, but she did have her own aliments. Yua supposed things could have turned out worse.
As she moved to grab a bean, the android realized that she hadn't brought one with her. Damn. Yua looked at the human as she pulled her helmet off as she sensed at Riki's power and assessed that she was supposed to help with this timeline, as opposed to being someone from it. She just didn't have the power level of this time to be ise, she guessed. The android pressed a hand against her helmet pressed a button on the left side to have the mask part open and keep it on her head. After she had done that, Yuad was about to speak when the cat girl came into the area and said something about humans.
Weren't most dead? That was strange, but as the demoness moved to start treatment or something, the android spoke up softly, "I will have an easier time healing them. Could you keep an eye out?" She placed a hand on the demoness's shoulder, though that did get a flinch, as light as it was. She was a stranger that had showed up after the explosion after all. She turned her head back to Riki as she asked, "Do you have any beans on you? Sorry to ask, but you and your friend are hurt pretty badly. I'm Yua by the way."
If she needed to give her name or not, it was better to give it for the time being. Trust was paramount, but in this place, it would have been hard to find anyone to trust or help. The hell scape couldn't be avoided, so she wanted to help these people. Yua assumed that she could get the bean, and would give it to Cauli in case she was given it by Riki. "I analyzed both your injuries, and I think both of you need one..." But she wouldn't force the issue, that wouldn't really accomplish her goals.
The android would, eventually, get her task accomplished. If they both took the bean or just one, but she wanted to have her new companions patched up. A fight in this condition wouldn't be great. With that, she'd stand and looked over to the girl that had tried to come over and help. Lemon gave the option of a rest, but Cauli clearly wasn't in the mood to do so. She continued to try and get up, after a swig from a sake bottle. She recognized the liquid, but said nothing about it. Not what she would have chosen herself for this moment, but that was up to that person.
She would, however, lend her own shoulder to Cauli, if she'd accept it, and looked over at the human. "I guess we're going north after the humans." Yua wasn't as sure as she should have been about herself. Though she hadn't known Mira, he did try to save her from those lights. And the Saiyan that had died protecting her, she had failed twice to save people already. One from the future, and one from this timeline. She would not let another one die if she could help it. Of course, the demoness didn't get there with Cauli and Yua, who would get ahead of her. It wasn't that hard to find them, she guessed.

"Whoops, looks like someone let one rip!" Gotenks cackled at his own juvenile quip, hastily crunching down the last of his ice pop before leaping into action.
His taunting bravado was cut short as Gotenks started to sense the severity of the situation, with each spore beginning to explode, setting off a catastrophic chain reaction of destruction. Gotenks leapt skyward with a startled yelp, narrowly avoiding the dangerously powerful energy of shadowy malevolence that continued to erupt from each of the spores. Flipping acrobatically, he twisted and wove through the ever-growing explosive wave, using his keen senses to stay one step ahead, as difficult as it was.
"I’m not fast enough!" he audbily complained, pressing two fingers up to his head in order to teleport high above the battlefield. "You'll have to try harder than stupid space dust to take me…" he mocked, whilst panting, slowly lowering himself back towards the beast as the explosions subsided.
But it wasn't long before the creature unleashed its next hellish attack. The ground audibly shook through the rubble, terrifying waves of tremors rattling the very Earth itself as large beams of abyssal energy shot from the ground, threatening to engulf anyone within reach.
“Oh hell no!” Gotenks yelled, partly wishing he’d kept his distance.
Cupping his hands together, the fused warrior summoned a shimmering sphere of concentrated ki that rapidly expanded into a shimmering energy barrier, just in time to withstand the lethal streams mere inches from his face. The destructive beams parted and swirled around the radiant sphere.
But just as the fused warrior believed that he’d outdone the beast and absconded himself from harm, he felt a strong beam of energy punch him in the face, sending him tumbling backwards in a dazed heap. He rubbed his throbbing cheek with a scowl, spitting out a gobbet of crimson blood.
"Okay, THAT one stung a little..." Gotenks growled, clambering upright and rapidly blurring through a string of stretches and nimble acrobatic katas to limber up. "But you just bought yourself a one-way butt-kicking, pal! Time for you to feel the wrath of my Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack!” The youngster exclaimed cockily.
Pursing his lips, the fused warrior summoned forth a duo of spectral doppelgangers that rapidly swirled around him, cackling and mocking the behemoth. Gotenks directed the raucous horde to swarm towards the monstrous adversary, each mini-Gotenks eagerly priming themselves to explode upon impact.
The duo of laughing phantoms diverged their paths around the gargantuan anomaly, flying directly towards it from each side with wild abandon, before finally exploding in an incandescent firestorm.
Gotenks stood fast with his arms crossed, an arrogant smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth as the brilliant conflagration illuminated the surrounding ruins in a golden glow. Thick plumes of smoke and ash billowed outwards from the furious onslaught, obscuring the eldritch leviathan's form once more within an opaque shroud.
"Hah! Let's see you walk THAT off, freak show!" The fused warrior punctuated his boast by pulling a face to mock the beast, pulling down one of his eyelids and sticking his tongue out.

Kale groaned in pain and slowly picked herself up from. The burns and bruises from enduring Gohan's attack during that mishap stung but the pain wasn't anything she'd find unbearable. There was a medicine kit she took from the space pod but she figured it would be better saved for a more serious injury that could come to her or Gohan though she hoped she wouldn't use it. Luckily she didn't go too deep and didn't end up on the other side of the rocks where she'd be stuck with the hostile saiyans.
Kale sensed another Saiyan approached. He was tailless and she wondered if he was from the same world as her, though she was sure how likely that was. Gohan wasted no time revealing his presence to the smarter and more imposing Saiyan before moving in to engage him. Kale watched as he unleashed a flurry of blows on the Saiyan and moved in to help Gohan in his assault. Once the Elite was in range she threw a jab cross combination at his face, followed by two hooks to his body. She followed this with an elbow, then a knee. Then then grabbed at the Elites wrist, before spinning and trying to throw him into the nearest wall.

Riki’s stunt went off as successfully as she hoped it would be. Grabbing Cauli at such a point was asking to get burned, literally, so she was not surprised at the damage she took, especially as the crushing shockwaves slammed her into the ground. The force alone was enough to cause her bones to complain, the landing was a painful cherry on top. It seemed she took a lot of it to one side though, which meant the pain was relieved quite a bit when she rolled over.
She didn’t notice Yua at first, considering everything and the fact she was an android but Lemon’s loud voice brought her back to reality. Apparently there were some humans nearby. She lifted herself slowly, extending her wounded leg out and then looked up at the stranger. Yua said something about healing them, which made Riki perk up a little, only for the woman to demand they take one of Riki’s sensu beans. It made the human’s gaze narrow.
What was the saying? Put the gas mask on your face first. Pulling a bottle from her pack she poured it over the friction burn. It was just water, but helped wash it out before she ripped her sleeves and wrapped up the worst parts of it. She couldn’t do anything about her ribs, but had faith in her body to be able to fight through it. She’d experienced worse. She only had a few beans, not really planning on coming into this with friends. She would wait to take hers.
Injuries assessed and handled to the best of her abilities, Riki pushed herself up slowly, feeling the aches and pain that shot through her body from each movement, knowing it would slow her overall and disrupt her balance. Unfortunate.
Finding her other pack however, she pulled out a bean and gave it directly to Cauli. Why would she hand it to the weird stranger? For all Riki knew, Yua was a villain who wanted to steal their healing abilities. If Cauli wasn’t herself enough to hold the bean, then Riki would force feed it to her, hoping that alleviated the brain fuzz. These were Korrin’s beans, so extra powerful, but she imagined Cauli still had shock to get through, so she tucked her shoulders under the demon’s free arm.
”Abandoning us already?” Riki asked Lemon, smiling despite her injuries, then grabbed Cauli with more stability and followed the girl all the way to the human camp. She didn’t bother being discrete, but either did Yua so it looked like they were just walking into whatever this was. Hopefully the chaos from the recent explosion would keep any enemies from immediately jumping them.

<well predictive models and tactical assessment don’t seem to be very handy at this time, guess we will see with time what tactics we could come up with tactically plotting things out...wait...thought the thing was leaving what is it…?!>
“Process yield unsatisfactory results, returning… warning circumstances rapidly returning to imminent conflict core intelligence expeditious restoration engaged.” his eyes surged back to full lucidity as power started souring high in no doubt a painful move.
“ummm nope!” he went to grab both EP3 and Tarble pulling them through his personal worm hole generated under his feet, rapidly closing after the last of them was pulled through.
They would emerge in the sky, well out of the range of the explosive discharge of that creature.
Unfortunately, the thing got their scent, it was only a moment of peace before another tendril tried to have its way with them.
Vlad was gripping EP3 in mid air as she had no flight capability so he had to manage her position and put it away from the oncoming attacks.
He quickly adjusted his feet to rest on tarble’s chest <sorry this may sting but better this than impalement... Trust me on that.> he discharged his thrusters to thrust him and EP3 away from the oncoming impalement object, and hopefully the thrust of his discharge was enough to push Tarble away as well.
This entities instincts were serving it well <we are too far to do anything that would not injure him, sorry Tarble… this one looks like it's gonna suck even more to get hit by.> the android felt as tho in spite of his best efforts his oath of protecting others was far more hopeful than executable at times. It was only logical, even the most powerful protector can't always be there for people, but it did not mean it was any less a blow to one's self image to feel they are under-performing their oath.
But he had EP3 in his arms another trusted friend and ally and his student perhaps more if gill could be brought down, someone will need to fill the power vacuums that will leave and EP3 was his choice to fill his spot when he had to take Gill’s throne to ensure worse did not take it.
But first they had to do all they could to survive the trials to come. And the next to test them with was this one.
Thrusters running hot pumping the duo away from the tendril and its thorny protrusions good thing the space they were in was free of sky scrapers just had to evade thinking about why that was the case while imminent danger was snaking its way to them.
Tricky maneuvering crossing the tendril with itself like a bundle of wires with the barbs cutting into itself… or would likely if this thing was not a thing to wit sensible physiology could not be remotely even suspected.
EP3 was frustrated with the feeling of powerlessness, so she took the opportunity in one go round the tendril to take a swing at the writhing mass. A swift overhead swing on it.
<at least I refuse to be wholly ineffectual luggage carried by my mentor!> she thought knowing Vlad meant well by his constant aid but if she never had the chance to show she is capable how would any trust her with a position of repute?
After some time it seemed the tendrils stopped
<why have my synthetic nerves not settled at this?> the two humanoid robots thought together… <oh right because as long as the thing is not reduced to non-reactive sludge chances are it's still dangerous.> the two thought.
They drifted uncomfortably close to the ground without noticing before the reckoning of why being near the ground was a bad idea came round
thinking quickly, Vlad opted to wind his arms up and toss EP3 to a spot of ground that had no indication of volatile activity indicating a pillar burrowing under it and tossed her to it.
Right in time to quickly reposition himself in a desperate attempt to mitigate the pillar that was directly under him.
Calling his aura shield to his fingers drawing them together and in front of his body like the bottom of a boat meeting the sea and ripping an opening in it, he tried to push the wave away from the bulk of his frame as he positioned his arms in front of his form shielding his head.
EP3 kicked the ground she landed on, hating feeling so needing to be carried… both figuratively and literally.
However, she realized that in the time it would take her to chase down that foe to land an attack, the creature could fire a more powerful thing in her direction or the beast could be annihilated before she got back there with the punishing rain her allies were giving it to the monster.
She decided to try the coms for any allied personnel “highly dangerous creatures present use extreme caution unknown spore like contaminant in the area, presumed highly dangerous, most exceptionally so to organic respiration. Recommend caution in this zone highlighted, additional recommendation in near future combining resources with fellow powerful individuals to address the crisis at hand!”
EP3 would have sounded like some automated message system were it not a clear urgency in her voice.

As the group reached the sounds of humans they were instead met with evil golem monsters pretending to be humans!
Just kidding.
While the blast had killed a lot of people it hadn’t killed everyone. Some of the humans were stronger, some of the Saiyans stationed on Earth actually wanted to help the humans. Some sought shelter when the summit blew up first. There were a lot of variables to consider and with a human’s innate ability to sense most headed in a joint direction: towards more people and towards the city’s edge.
The latter ended up being a futile pursuit, and those that reached the edge of the city found only that the impenetrable barrier above them also locked them inside its dome. There was no way out. They were trapped, and with all the monsters around, they fell back on strength in numbers.
North of Lemon’s group was what looked like an old school. A lot of it was damaged in the original explosion, but the basement was intact, built for such things. The humans were using it as a base of sorts for medical attention and to try and build some resistance to the life sucking golems. They had made a perimeter of sorts, and were ongoing in building it, using rubble to try and construct a larger defense and keeping their energy very low.
This was working out for them until Mira took out half the remaining school.
Whatever order the camp had managed to obtain was gone, but there were a number of strong willed individuals trying to regain it.
One was a Saiyan, with a tail, who was ordering his men to try and reinforce the perimeter. He was doing his best to make sure they weren’t swarmed while chaos spread, and praying to Kami that the creatures weren’t drawn in by noise.
Another one was leading people to the hellscape's edge, recovering those that were alive and unceremoniously throwing the dead into the hellscape. The storm of it immediately absorbed and destroyed them, and tears were shed but progress wasn’t slowed. This group’s priority was two things: save those who could be saved and remove any of the corpses. This would look strange to Lemon’s group, but Yua had seen the corpses become golems, and it seemed the humans had figured that out as well.
The third was running a triage. She had set up a makeshift hospital wing and seemed to have people under her wing helping with the wounded as well as trying to gather supplies. They were the busiest as the more level headed humans brought more and more wounded back from the newest destruction, overwhelming the limited staff who was already tending to people injured in the original destruction.
There were a number of others scattered throughout as well, standing out as the humans quieted when confronted by one, pin pricks in the chaos as they tried to calm as many people down as they could but there was no one leadership. The hellscape side didn’t seem to care if people left. The Saiyans were afraid to take control with the issues humans and Saiyans had before this. The nursing staff was nursing. Order would be resolved eventually, but as it was, there was a lot of disarray.

Ghast managed to get a shield up in time, though it was not as sturdy as it normally was, the monster’s unique energy seeming to crack it a little deeper than it normally would at that level of attack. Gotenks and Vlad opted for the safer option, and got the fuck out of dodge, both using instant transmission to get themselves over the blast, and in Vlad’s case EP-3 and Tarble as well. (If Goku can IT a whole house, Vlad can IT two people!) Unfortunately, the monster’s hunger for Tarble prevailed, immediately finding him again in the sky, its body ripping through the air. Going to drastic measures, the android kicked hard off his companion, sending Tarble back to the ground and propelling him and EP-3 above the slice. It was successful, but Vlad’s thrusters were getting very hot at this point, and the beast was not slowing at all. He was just a tad too slow, and EP-3’s attempt to counter strike the beast just resulted in her taking a bit more damage as she exposed herself. A counter was a deadly double edged sword, and if you did not manage to strike first, the hit striking you would hit all the harder. Despite that, she was mostly okay, as was Vlad, but his next attempt at heroics also proved he was simply doing too much trying to protect too many people. It was a sacrifice he was more than willing to make of course to get EP-3 to safety, and he managed that, but his deflect was just a tad too slow, only diminishing a part of the geyser and driving dark energy into his body. EP-3 managed to get off lightly, but the same could not be said about Tarble. The tentacle cut into him like a spear, drilling into his abdomen and spewing out blood. The Saiyan Prince could not move as the geyser erupted and he was slammed into it and then back to the ground. When he landed, the shadows of the monster swarmed him, tendrils wrapping around his body. That geyser also managed to do some damage to the child Saiyan and mad doctor, but their defenses and maneuvers lowered that significantly, and the final attack left Gotenks standing unlike his uncle. Those that came out of the attack came out of it somewhat well, but one thing was for sure, they needed to kill this thing, and fast, before their defenses diminished. Meanwhile the monster’s had not even started. Ghast decided to take thinks seriously, pooling her power into a large attack, and delivering it with gusto, but the beast was too large to try and dodge. Instead as the beams came crashing down they hit a sudden and thick wall of smoke. Gotenks constructed two doubles of himself out of ki, and they cackled, but somehow it didn’t seem like they were the only ones laughing…They rushed the beast and were instantly enveloped in the mist and shadows that had once completely hid the creature, and the resonating explosions after felt muted. The smoke and ash billowed outwards… Then, without warning, or maybe Gotenks’ attack was the warning, the smokey shadows suddenly expanded out with a sense of completion. A roar crashed through their ear drums threatening to stun them as the thick darkness tried to engulf the entire battlefield. If it so much as touched a fighter, it would be like a iron grip pulling them underwater and into the shadows which held an ongoing storm. Inside the quiet darkness ripped slicing winds and crushing impacts meant to flatten them into small pieces. With Tarble out of commission, the creature trying to pull him inside of it, the other Saiyan prince held his focus. Twenty bolts snapped out of the darkness, attempting to engulf the boy again if he hadn’t avoided the first storm. There was hardly a moment’s pause, and those tentacles were slashing out once more, attempting to crush the Super Saiyan in its grasp and pull him into the creature’s center mass. Any attempt to reach for outside contact was met with static. It seemed like there was contact to be made, but something was disrupting it.

While AURORA had a more fixed objective this time in her attempts to hack the system, she had no luck. She could however confirm that the last place the Saiyan had been seen was indeed the Summit. It made sense then that if they were trying to kidnap the prince for some type of experiment, they would not have taken him too far from the summit itself in order to get things moving as quickly as possible.
The summit was the first area to be bombed, with a cultist unleashing a bomb specifically in that location, before the massive attack happened to wipe out the city. They used the chaos of these combined instances to successfully kidnap the powerful warrior. The summit was sure to be in ruins at this point, but they might be able to find some clues.
There were a few people from the summit that managed to survive, including a pop star activist who paid her way into being allowed to speak at the political meeting, and a prominent scientist from Capsule Corporation. The pop star had gone into the wilds of the city to escape the golems and Saiyans. The scientist had gone underground to help care for the wounded that survived the largest attack due to being dropped below with the first attack into the tunnels. At this point, everyone might have scattered, or the timeline had changed too drastically, but there might be a straggler or two, or some blood trails or something to follow.
They had a larger advantage with their knowledge of the past, though it was largely unfortunate no one recorded where the prince was actually found. He was reportedly saved by his underling, but the facility had been completely destroyed, the underling could barely speak english, and the prince was too disoriented to lead anyone back to where he had come out of. He was retrieved closer to the summit again, which was another reason to go there.
Going towards the summit meant going towards the controlled explosion, but they would still be keeping a large enough distance to avoid being swept up in the battle based on the large sphere of destruction already endured…one would think. Between Shell's knowledge of where he was in location to that battleground and Towa's quick inspection of things, they could both see the oncoming destruction where the battle spilled even farther than the original blast. Where they stopped was still far enough that most of the destructive power had faded, but the shockwaves would reach them enough to deal a very hard hit, before the two more came as the blast dissolved, delivering a crushing force with each burst.
The shockwaves came from the east, and pushed past them to the west, and the momentary chaos of the situation caused a commotion to the west as well as the origin of the attack. It seemed that there was a congregation of sorts very near to them, so they would have to move quickly if they wanted to get to the summit undeterred. The shockwave also seemed to cause shifts in the rocks, as if more golems were digging their ways out trying to get to the source of energy.
Razer focused as they were, one assumed they plowed on towards the summit. It was unlikely the foot soldiers knew a whole lot if there was a greater conspiracy going on with scientific experimentation, so that was their best bet on that end.
Reaching the summit, walls of the large building remained, along with many stone corpses. After their time in the tunnels, they would know to be weary of any white lights, but none approached as of yet. They easily found the corpse of the pop star, proving the timeline had indeed divulged early. Whatever had ensued her escape the first time, had not been successful this time. If either inspected her wounds, solidified at they were, they would know it was not blast and physical strikes that got her, or the others nearby, but sharp bladed strikes, most likely from the golems.
Meaning there were definitely some nearby.
It was possible the paid off celebrity might have some clues, if they searched her body. Mary Sues tended to have a lot of things going for them, even if this one had ultimately died.
In the summit building, which was very easy to enter considering many walls had fallen, they could see there was an entrance underground, though it seemed the people had gone deeper into them since the explosion, though there was another stone corpse directly below, someone who had not survived the fall.
When the summit exploded, there were immediate efforts to evacuate. This happened before the greater explosion. They could see where the helicopters had made a temporary landing, but whether they had gotten out in time would require some more investigation past the summit.
Along with the seemingly innocent corpses, there were a number of Saiyans not dressed as the soldiers who protected the prince were. More importantly, none of these Saiyans had tails. If they inspected these corpses closer, they might find greater clues to the cults' involvement to things.
